It's a rainy day, we're sat at home on the sofa together, a movie playing quietly as we just bask in each others company under a blanket. You're sat between my legs, back against my chest my head resting on your shoulder, a hand resting on your stomach, idly drawing random shapes on your skin as you play with the fingers on my free hand. You're slowly falling asleep in my arms (and avidly denying it despite your drooping eyes) making me smile in both adoration and amusement. I tell you that you can sleep if you want to, that I'll hold you throughout and maybe even join you but you just refuse, claiming you aren't tired once more although you do shuffle around to move to lay atop me, head on my chest (claiming your favourite pillow *hopefully your words not mine*). I just chuckle and move a hand to settle against your back and thread the fingers of my other hand into your hair beginning to scratch your scalp lightly. You move to rest your head up against my neck and it's there that I eventually feel your breathing even out and not even a few minutes later you've fallen asleep atop me. Pressing a kiss to your head i whisper playfully "Not tired my ass" with a smile before closing my own eyes and joining you for a quick nap in our cozy little bubble.
