also on easter— i can’t remember the exact quote— christina said they hid bags of scrambled eggs around the ship so that they could go egg hunting in space.

I also love witnessing any of their wholesome moments, like the group hug after jeremy hansen told mission control about naming the crater Carroll, and seeing them on the live feed taking pictures of each other, and when they sync their watches, and and and

all in all, this crew is so obviously close-knit and they’re literally just scientists, with no agenda for personal gain. they’re doing this for the betterment of humanity, and i think that’s so beautiful.

when asked about what they’d miss most about this mission, they all said they’d miss the camaraderie with each other, and i think that’s so beautiful and representative of what is the most important thing for humanity: connection.

this entire mission is so inspiring i loved being able to witness it. seven hours til splashdown!

"she holds the record for the most days spent in space by a woman!" this "she was part of the only all female space walk!" that, she's on the list of people who have spent the most time in space, period. she's spent more time in space than any of her crewmates - one of whom hasn't been into space at all. her time in space is only three days less than what all of her crewmates have combined. she has had as many spacewalks as all of her crewmates combined. she's not there because she's the best female nasa astronaut they could find and they wanted the diversity quota or whatever, she's there because she's part of the most qualified and experienced nasa personnel they could send up there
