"Oh yes it is." A smile grew onto The Doctors lips, leaning closer to her so that he could whisper, âIâm over a thousand years old, and Iâm a Time Lord."
"Okay, explain. Whatâs a âTime Lordâ?" She asked. This man was different, but in a good way.
"Exactly what it says on the tin." The Doctor nodded. âA lord of time."
Michelle looked confused for a moment. âSo what do you do? I mean I didnât think it was possible to have to hearts, so tell me the basics. Where are you from?"
âGallifrey. But itâs gone. So technically, my spaceship. Itâs called the TARDIS."
"TARDIS." She repeated, nodding, then looking at her watch and grabbing her bag and her tea. âI have to go to work. Maybe Iâll see you around." She said with a slight smile. âWhatâs your name?"
"The Doctor. Call me The Doctor. And yours?"
"Michelle. I hope I see you around, Doctor." She said with a grin and walked out of the shop.
He quickly followed after her, with a ridiculous grin across his face. He was going to go into the future, a few months, perhaps. Â
Michelle had a feeling that the Doctor was following her but she didnât turn. She was going to be late as it was.
Along the busy road, there was an alleyway. The Doctor turned into the alleyway, heading inside the TARDIS.
Michelle walked into the small restaurant that she was a hostess at, clocking in and going to work.
Two years on for Michelle, the Doctor landed in the same spot, rushing down to the cafe where they had previously met.Â
Michelle was sitting in the same seat at the same table, it became a habit after she had met the Doctor. She was drinking coffee this time, and looked as if she was about to fall asleep. She had bruises on her arms and around her collarbone, faded because of the makeup she applied over them, and had more hidden by her clothing
Once he was in the cafe, he started to search for her. It didnât even take him that long. The Doctor awkwardly, but excitedly walked to the table. Â
Michelle looked up to see a tall figure approaching her and all of her muscles tensed at once as a reflex, painfully reminding her of how sore she was. She closed the book she was studying to look up at the man that she couldnât believe was back.
"Doctor?" She asked softly.
"Hello! How long have I been?" He sat down in the chair that he was previously sat on, his mood had completely changed from earlier.Â
"Two years." She said softly, hoping the makeup was enough for him to not notice the bruises that now covered her body.
The Doctor tilted his head, he had now seen the change in color on her skin. "What /happened?/"Â
