i spent 2024 working full time to make glass beach lp3 happen. we came up with a dozen or so song ideas but the energy just wasn't there. we took a break when my friend died and we just couldn't start it up again. it felt like bullshit, i needed to set all career ambitions aside and focus on what felt real, sincere, meaningful. some of the best stuff to come from the glass beach sessions got heavily reworked into tracks on iftd (look, sure, industry) and i wrote lots of new stuff too. we (gb) weren't gonna bullshit our audience with some mediocre music we threw together out of obligation. we're not in sync creatively right now. we've been burned out by industry shit. we don't hate each other. don't hold your breath for new glass beach music. if we made music where things are at right now it would not be very good

I recently found my “gold” hammer after misplacing it. It’s my favorite tool ever because it looks like a regular hammer trying to be fancy,

but then you twist both halves and unscrew it to find a flat-head screwdriver in the middle.

BUT, if you twist the very end and unscrew that

you find a phillips screwdriver.

BUT DON’T THINK THAT’S ALL THERE IS! THERE’S MORE!! unscrew the very end again to find a smaller flat-head screwdriver!

I have one of these and I keep it in my IT toolkit because that teeny little screwdriver is the right side for laptop casings, but because it lives inside a large object it’s harder to misplace than a standard tiny screwdriver. Also because the look on a client’s face when you bring out a brass hammer to fix their laptop is absolutely wild.
