Jared ran after Leah, knowing she couldn’t handle these leeches alone. He wouldn’t order her not to fight but…he would make sure she stayed safe. Its what Sam would want. And right now…he tried not to think about how badly Sam was hurt.
Leah ignored Jared’s inner ramble for the most part, but she was grateful that he wasn’t going to use his higher up position to order her around. She slowed her pace when she was near the leeches. ‘Go around the other side of the clearing, then we’ll be coming at them from both sides.’ She thought to him.
Jared sent positive feelings her way, letting her know he understood. He followed her words and waited for the signal to charge.
