Holiday time!

It’s that time of year again! I’m off on holiday for 2 weeks, so there won’t be anything happening with this blog for a li’l bit~

I mean, I know there wasn’t anyway, but I knew there wasn’t any point starting now when I’d be clearing off soon xD

See you guys in 2 weeks! Hopefully I’ll have chance to plan stuff while I’m away but imma be a busy potato so maybe not~

Thanks for the input! Seems like moving more plot focused in an effort to finish telling the story is definitely winning!

I probably won’t kick off with everything until a little ways into July. Going on a 2 week holiday in just over a week, so it’d be silly to kick off everything now.

I’ll be sure to get some planning done in the meanwhile!

I think you should focus on the plot, I’m not sure how much longer the story will go but I’m exited to know what will happen. good luck to everything you will do!

Thanks for the input! Focusing on plot will ultimately mean less breathing room between dramatic moments, which might get a bit much for some. But I promise there is a conclusion to the story that I (eventually) aim to get to, hopefully sooner rather than later!

Hey everyone! Sorry it’s been so long, I sold my soul to Bravely Default/Bravely Second and it’s taking up pretty much all my creative energy. Oops.

Anyways, I wanted to ask you lovely folk a question. Would you prefer if I got to the point more with the story? Like, rather than spend time writing/drawing filler questions/RPs, I just focus purely on the main plot point asks/RPs so I’ve got less chance of losing focus.

I mean, the blog’ll potentially be ‘over’ quicker, but I keep ending up on a hiatus after a couple weeks of activity anyways, so what’s speed with me, anyway?

Thanks for your input, anon! It would mean less breathing room between dramatic plot points, which creates a worry that it might get a little too much without any down time in between, but at the same time, the excitement of getting to finally share these moments would spur me along to get on with it~ x3

Ahaa yea, sorry about that. I keep hitting some really low spots that kills any motivation I have for this blog. I wish I could say I’m gonna be more consistent from now on, but I can’t make any promises I’m afraid.

The glowing crystals had drawn her eyes away from her new companion, but she couldn’t help but look back at him with a bright smile. It was as if she was double checking that she wasn’t the only one amazed with what they had stumbled upon.

“T-This is so pretty… I wonder how far these tunnels go…” She glanced at the surrounding area, eyes now fully adjusted to the darkness. There was two directions they could head, a path leading forward or the path currently to their backs. 

She floated a step forward, straining her eyes to see where both tunnels went but to no avail. They would just have to explore it all! Maybe. She really wanted to.

“So… Should we go up ahead and keep going?” She couldn’t help it but sound excited, looking back at Alpha with expecting eyes.

“Sounds like a plan to me!” Alpha was beaming at the girl’s enthusiasm, feeling excitement bubble up within him to join in and explore this new area. Of all the hidden places he’d found so far, this was by far the most complete of the lot.

Still walking on the ground, he absentmindedly looked at how the lighting played off the crystals on the walls. Some shone perfectly, others cast glitchy shadows. There was so much to see--

A yelp escaped him as he fell through the floor. Walking in these beta areas had its disadvantages, like a lack of collision data at times, and he’d forgotten all about it over his excitement. Dissolving his feet away, he managed to float up again and poke his head through the floor a few seconds later, smiling at Clara.

“Oops!” he said with a nervous laugh, flying all the way up to her eye level again.

Zetto wanted to slap himself. Had he said that really loud? He didn’t think so, but moot point now, Alpha knew he was there. He sighed, stepping out from behind the tree, looking cocky. “Darn, looks like you aren’t as oblivious as I thought. And wow, I’ve heard so many ego insults before, that didn’t even hurt. Better luck next time, doll face.” He grinned, “Speaking of, why is your face cracking like a porcelain doll? Didn’t think you were that delicate.”

Alpha shrugged at the comment,trying to play it off as nothing,  although just hearing the player’s voice was enough to make him wanna throw a few punches. No, keep it casual for now, there’ll be time for that later.

“Not so delicate that I hide away,” he replied lightly, although a piercing expression never left his eyes, locked hard on the player. He paused for a second. “Apologies for the weak insult, ‘dear friend’, it seems I’m becoming almost as predictable as you.” He learnt in closer, every fiber of his being itching for a fight. “So tell me, what cause are you martyring yourself to this time? Surely you’ve got other players’ lives to ruin besides mine.”

Clara couldn’t help but laugh slightly as Alpha headed straight in without any hesitation, taking one last look around the blank area before jumping in herself. This was such an interesting experience ;she knew a bit about Alpha thanks to being Viola’s shade, but she never had seen this side of him. This excited, adventurous boy letting her tag along on an exploration. It was really nice- and a quite a change of pace.

As the area loaded, darkness trailed at the edges of Clara’s vision, forcing her eyes to adjust to the sudden dimness that surrounded her. It didn’t take long, and before she knew it she found herself within a cave system, rocky walls expanding into long paths that went on through the darkness. Crystals of many different shapes and sizes littered the area, sticking out in a multitude of directions. However, these stones were different from the rest of the cave, the key difference being a translucent aqua colour that illuminated a kind of mysterious light.

Of course, the whole cave wasn’t perfect. Lighting glitches caused by these strange rocks appeared every so often, probably due to the game not knowing how to handle them, and the walls of the cave seemed to lack any kind of texture. Yet the whole area just seemed… Beautiful. It had it’s own scruffy charm, something pretty yet it had flaws.

Clara liked it.

“Whoa… L-Look at this place… It’s covered in gemstones!” Her eyes were wide and seemed entranced by where they had ended up. She hovered close to a wall, letting her working hand trail across one of the stones. It seemed to glow brighter in response.

As Alpha’s eyes adjusted to the beta area, he was in awe at what he saw. It was unfinished, yes, but the fact it was so near completion, yet so out of reach to the game’s players made it all the more beautiful.

Not as beautiful, however, as the reaction of the girl that stood next to him. He was fixated on Clara as she examined the crystals on the walls, watching the sheer excitement course through her very being at this new, completely untouched, area.

How this girl was in any way related to that virus he despised so much, he’d never know. But at this point, he didn’t care. He just wanted to keep exploring with her, so she’d keep smiling.
