I’m a Christian who believes The Bible was written by men, and although there are some good things in it, good advice, some solid morals, I ignore parts of it, and wouldn’t stone anyone.
Annnd you can love your neighbor without letting him take advantage of you.
I also believe in the separation of church and state.
What is good for strangers outside of this country is not always what’s best for America, and in the running of the country, what’s best for individual Americans should be the focus.
America is the most generous country in the world, both in giving aid to foreign countries, and in terms of what individuals give charitably.
Americans, statistically, give more when taxed less.
Americans will be taxed less the fewer people are living off the state.
Lower taxes on individuals mean more charitable donations.
Lower corporate taxes means more wealth, more innovation, more jobs, and yes, big companies also make big charitable donations.
Form a nice big coalition to create safe zones in Syria and you’ll have so many charitable donations, voluntarily from hardworking Americans.
Make them do it, at point of gun, and they’ll resent it.
Sweden is now the rape capital of the world.
“Ash, are you saying all Muslims are rapists?”
No.
“Terrorists?”
No.
But they can’t hide among them and cause the Islamophobia you’re always going on about if they’re in Syria, in a protected safe zone, fed by kind hearts (Christians too), all over the world, now can they?
