like mother like daughter
Lily was humming to herself going through all her emails while Jasper and Kylee spent the day with Ari and Crowley. Since her and Sam took over Adams responsibilities they had updated a lot of things. One of the biggest things was creating a joint email account. Regular monsters didn’t have the perk of being able to just transport from one place to another in the blink of an eye. So the email account took off like wildfire. Sam and Lily took turns sorting through them all, replying to the mundane things, or getting one of the other alphas involved with the bigger things. They even got the occasional email from sentinels. Raven had never been so busy with it all! turned out Vampires where one of the biggest problems closely followed by the werewolves.
Werewolves had divided in to their own factions since the Alpha ability was lost. Kai passed to Aaron but then Aarons death seemed to have lost it. Lily took care of the wolves mostly. All the time she spent with Kai gave her a lot of knowledge on them. Plus all the books Kai had written came in handy to.
Atleast that’s what Sam and lily had told everyone. In reality they had spoken to Adam about it and they were pretty sure that the ‘Alpha Ability’ was laying dormant inside Taylor. It was waiting to be triggered by something, but with the family track record of that trigger being death! They kept it to themselves for now, handling the wolves themselves.
Lily was half way through answering an email from an incubss in Florida when she heard a bang in the kitchen. She glanced over her shoulder and sipped her tea, waiting for whoever it was to make themselves known.
“Where’s Hank keep the good stuff?” Called a voice, eerily like her mother.
Lily rolled her eyes and headed through “Hey Rosalyn” she smirked upon seeing her sister. “By good stuff you mean...?” she trailed off raising an eyebrow.
“Coffee obviously Jeez...” she raised a hand to her hip.
“Second shelf up top” she replied, pointing to a cupboard up the top. “Not that I don’t appreciate visits from my little sister, but is there a reason you’ve stopped by” she asked.
Rosalyn shrugged as she went about making herself a cup of the good stuff. “Mum had a go” she said matter of fact.
Lily hummed knowingly and nodded “Well thanks” she said softly, sitting at the dinning table, pushing some of the lore books into a neat pile. “Hows school?” she asked.
Rosalyn rolled her eyes “Boring and mundane as normal. Dad insists I finish though” she grumbled flicking an annoyed glance lilys direction. “Not like a GED will help when I take over ruling Hell” she smirked and tilted her chin up slightly, a proud glint to her eye.
Lily couldn’t help but laugh “Well that’s a pretty big goal Rose! But I doubt mum will ever give up the throne” she laughed. Lily sipped the last of her tea, hiding the smile that tugged at her lips. Lily knew she had inherited Mina’s fire, But Rosalyn was literally a younger version of their mother! The girl had confidence and style in everything she did.
Rosalyn sipped at her finished coffee and hummed in content “Hanks really got awesome taste” she jumped up and sat on the counter. “Dad will drink anything as long as it looks like Coffee” she rolled her eyes at the thought.
“How are things between them?” Lily chewed her lip slightly, thinking back to her and Adam.
“They are fine, all lovey dovey and dinner dates” Rose shrugged. “Makes me sick sometimes” she mimed vomiting sounds and hooked a long leg over her other. “How are the rugrats?” she asked.
“They are fine” lily nodded. “Jaspers on his 3rd school of the year thanks to fighting with the teachers” she rolled her eyes but it was in a loving way. “He takes after Hank way to much” she chuckled. “Kylee has just started high school but she takes after Hank aswell so it should be interesting” she raised both shoulder in a shrug. “apparently the Crowley genes are pretty strong” she giggled. Lily was about to carry on but there was a sudden knocking on the door, frantic pouding.
Lily jumped up and rushed to open it and see who was there. Roslyan followed close behind. It was Serena. Her eyes were wide with what looked like fear and she was out of breath like she’d run all the way to the house. Lily pulled her inside quickly and glanced at Rose who sipped up the last of her coffee. “I’m gona head out” she said, eyes flicking between lily and Serena. Without another Word Rose vanished.
LIly turned all her attention to Serena as she sat them on the couch “what’s wrong?” she asked. Serena breathed deeply to calm herself down “I ummm... I triggered” she whispered. “My humanity triggered back on” she said.
LIlys eyes widened and she shook her head “It’s been almost 600 years Serena, what happened?” she asked. gripping her sisters hand.
Serena huffed a small laugh “I met a guy” she answered.
