today's sketch for me is really important, i think I'll make a full art of it. i am very curious about Silver's backstory. He gave his entire life and even half his body in pursuit of his dream —Flint's trove. What does he have to lose in his life to be so desperate in his thirst for enormous material wealth ? We know that he's feared and respected by other pirates, he is an authority in the criminal world. He knows how to behave, how to change masks and how to manipulate people. And what changed in his life with Jim's arrival, if at the last moment, between his life's dream and the random cabin boy, he chose Jim. Treasure Planet isn't just about Jim finding a father figure, but also about a broken pirate who found something- someone - much much more dearly than his life's work.
