and that was that. there was nothing more to it than that, but the other was lost. There was nothing and then there was something.

What a dumb name frustration thought, but made no move to voice it outloud. they drifted for sometime before frustration felt, for the first time, ground.
Then they were both standing. one holding one’s arm.
“what is this?” Me me asked looking at the ground on which they stood.
it was solid. something and not nothing. for the first time they felt gravity as they stood.
It is nothing. frustration remarked.
Mimi shook her head. knelt upon the something that had replaced nothing. and pulled down frustration to sit with her.
“are you me?” she asked. at which frustration got upset about. a small frown forming on their otherwise emotionless face.
what are you doing. it asked.
“I'm doing something?” replied Mimi. For she had no real answer. Just question after question. They formed in her mind like soap suds. The more she worked her forming mind the more and more the words built up. a never ending, building mountain of bubbles.
but frustration did not like this answer. Something was meant to be nothing. and nothing was existence.
we are nothing. frustration said.
“hmmm I don't like that answer.” Mimi said quietly, turning her head away from frustration.
“We were nothing, but now I am something… er, someone. I am someone.” and for the first time, Mimi smiled a little. There was something so right about that, about saying it out loud. It was a promise and a wish all wrapped up into just three words.
I don't want to be someone. frustration said. a quiet sadness washing over their features.
Mimi turned back to look at frustration. contemplating.
uncomfortable with the silence, the other quipped. you don't know how to be someone.
“are you me?” Mimi answered back.

“I’ll give you a name” she said.
Mimi slid her hand down their arm. now firmly grasping the other's cold hand.
frustration looked down at their hands intertwined together.
“together?” the other whispered.
“I like the name… Tomorrow… for you.” she said with a smile. and she pulled tomorrow with her.
this is true and all. but also never stop talking about your ship because if it’s what makes you happy then you can and should talk about it for yourself and your own enjoyment too.
there’s nothing wrong with the tweet in the screenshot, but I feel like we’ve forgotten that shipping and fandom are first and foremost for ourselves and our own enjoyment, not if the ship is popular or if there’re enough people shipping it.
