framescollection.com is story telling on the web done right. 

I wrote a plea for more interactive online story-telling a while ago so I'm very glad to see that the experimentation continues and this wasn't just a fad.

There are currently two stories up on the site, with more to follow. The collaborative team of writer, designer, and developer is one we'll be seeing lots more of.

It's a great example of the power of colour communication. Whilst the colour palette for 'Drive' might be obvious, exactly why the palette for Radiohead's 'Kid A' makes so much sense is an interesting mystery.

The Daily Overview is the best of satellite photography.

The site collects overhead photography from Apple Maps, highlighting both natural and manmade patters which would otherwise be missed.

Really interesting to see the effect we have on the earth when we’re the size of ants.

These also make great wallpapers, particularly if it’s somewhere close to your heart.

Absolutely no surprise that DMX uses the least amount of unique words, after all ‘ARF ARF ARF’ only counts as one.

I hear “THE FUTURE IS NOW!” getting thrown around with a sarcasm that suggests all recent technology is ultimately pointless.

The fact is, most innovation is boring. Medical advances, internet speeds, blah blah blah. This though… whilst ultimately pointless, really is a ‘THE FUTURE IS NOW!’ moment. These are completely autonomous camera drones.

There will come a time soon when one of these drones is affordable to the average, interested person. When that day comes, just imagine the shots you’ll be able to get of even a mundane walk in the country side or holiday abroad. Pretty exciting.

**You are Listening To** combines atmospheric music with the live police radio streams of major American cities. It's poetic. The different accents, the grittiness of live police reports, the timelessness of the music underneath. This is a strange concept, executed perfectly. My favourite channel is [New York](http://youarelistening.to/newyork), having gone on holiday there not so long ago it takes me back. But the [NASA](http://youarelistening.to/nasa) broadcast is a close second.
