During a heatwave in the summer of 1989, Altan Toren Ceyhan was born in the small town of Kismet Harbor, Oregon. He was the first and only born son, soon becoming the oldest brother to three younger sisters. It was safe to say he had his hands full, but with his protective nature, looking after his sisters came natural to him and has always remained.

Being an ambivert, Altan has never struggled with friendships or being social whenever he’s been in the mood to be so, however he only has a handful of people he considers close or best of friends. Some he met when playing sports in high school. Altan was active in the basketball and football community, eventually deciding to focus on basketball considering his height, it being an asset. However, due to a knee injury in his senior year during a high school game, he had to step down from the team. Instead he started focusing on mobility training to help prevent any further injuries and fell in love with working out as a way to help him keep focus. This also naturally helped with the ladies, not that he struggled much with that to begin with considering his natural good looks, but he never took any of his relationships too seriously as he usually ended up dating more than one person at once. He never understood why until he became older, but it usually helped him compartmentalize whenever he was undergoing a lot of stress, which he often did considering the field he was planning on venturing into for work.

His education has always been important to him, especially as his father has made it clear from a young age that he was keen for Altan to take over the family’s small financial planning business. Therefore when time came to apply for colleges, knowing eventually he’d likely be returning to Kismet Harbor, he applied for colleges out of state. He was accepted to college in San Diego and decided to make the move down there to start his business degree.

In San Diego was where he eventually met Fatma Aslan. A woman so beautiful she captured his attention almost instantly and he knew he just had to have her. Unlike most others, she managed to keep him entertained for a while, despite having made it clear from the beginning he was not a one person kind of man. This was luckily something she eventually accepted. Although he remained just with her for a while in the beginning of their relationship, the pressure of his highly stressful corporate job got to him with its long hours and pressure, that he could feel his sole interest starting to slip through his fingers and the need to sought out attention elsewhere emerged.

Altan always found that the open relationship agreement helped him be a better boyfriend, as he got to throw himself into more or less meaningless relationships just for some additional stress relief without needing to put in the effort with anyone else then Fatma. It eventually made him realise that she might be the one for him, so he ended up proposing. She accepted, though with her own conditions; they’d close their marriage for a year and should they decide to have children, they’d close it permanently. Atlan agreed and the two ended up getting married. For a full year they enjoyed their close marriage. It wasn’t until he changed jobs, accepting a better position with another company, he felt the stress he had just managed to get under control, resurface along with his urges. He wasn’t happy with the changes he had made and it showed, putting a further strain on his marriage. When Fatma revealed she had been offered a job in Kismet Harbor, it didn’t take much convincing for the man to move back to his hometown and family.

After returning to town and speaking to his father, he agreed to let him start training to take over the family business to run it so he could eventually retire. The move seemed to be overall good for Altan, being back in a familiar environment and with his family. However, yet once again did he fond himself under a lot of stress and pressure, except this time it seemed tables has turned as he has been the one struggling to find someone wanting to take part in the arrangement he has with his wife, while he recently had news she is dating someone for the first time since their arrangement began.

Connor was seated at the bar, having just finished his beer when someone spoke. He lifted his head, shifting his gaze away from the television screen and making eye contact with the man. He recognized him instantly but he swallowed hard and shook his head. "It's free," he told the man, gesturing to it with his hand. "Yeah," he looked down at his the glass in front of him. "Just finished." He answered, ordering another one from the bartender. "I was just watching the game." Though, not in its entirety as he kept finding himself scrolling mindlessly on his phone during commercial breaks for much longer than he intended. @altanceyhan

Altan nodded a little, before he ordered himself a drink once the bartender had taken the other's order. He had some time to kill before he needed to head back, and a drink didn't seem like the worst thing in the world right now. "Who's winning?" Altan asked, looking over at the counter again once the bartender placed their drinks down, picking it up before taking a large swing of it.

“I would be miserable and then so would you.” She joked, though it wasn’t far off from the truth. When she had to do something against her will, she made sure you knew it. She was a free spirit, only appreciating tradition when she had created it for herself. She let out a breath, a shiver running down her back when she felt his breath cling to her skin. Yet it was his next words that provided a subtle distraction. “You tease.” She mused, turning around in his arms so she could face him. “I would look great pregnant.” Fatma smiled, placing her hand to his cheek. “Well, greater.” @altanceyhan

Altan mused, "Exactly, that is why I choose to live by the happy wife happy life rule." He told her with a faint smirk, only to let his hands tighten a little around the small of her waist once more in a more teasing manner. Altan wasn't sure how Fatma would react to his proposal. When she turned to face him, his facial expression remained serious. He was being serious, and he wanted to let her know that. He also knew that it would mean for them and their marriage, but that wasn't really something he'd allowed himself to think too much about. "You would." He agreed, hands moving to the front, caressing her empty stomach while his hues remained glued to hers. "But more importantly, you would make a great mother." He told her, "And it would be my honor if you would want to carry my children." Altan smiled. "What do you think, birtanem?"

When the man allowed her to stay in his cab she let out a squeal, hands in fists held near her face. "Thank you, thank you, thank you!" She quickly said, buckling herself into her seat belt though actually getting it to attach took her some effort. "I'm just a teensy bit drunk, so I promise I won't make a mess." She told him, still fidgeting with her seat belt. "So are you from Kismet, or close?" @altanceyhan

Altan regretted his decision as soon as he had agreed to let the blonde stay. A small sigh parted from his lips when she began thanking him. "Yeah, yeah--" He brushed it off, leaning better back into his seat, before exhaling another sigh. "Just make sure you tell the driver in case you need to be sick." He told her, looking over in her direction only to watch her struggle with the belt. "You need any help with that?" He added out of curiosity, before he needed. "I am from Kismet, yes. And yourself?" With the Masquerade party closing in, Altan had finally found the time to make his way over to his tailor. His suit needed taking out, which had been a positive surprise considering how much time he had had recently to hit the gym whenever he was traveling. Now, it was more important to him than ever to maintain his fitness and stay in shape. With the research he had done, it seemed like it was important when it came to conception and he would want for nothing more than for Fatma to have a healthy pregnancy when the time should come. It didn't stop him, however, to enjoy a small treat once in a while. Such as today, he had been unable to walk past the bar on his way home, craving an ice cold beer. Inside, he glanced over the crowd, before he spotted a familiar person seated by the bar. Making his was over, he noticed the free seat next to him. "Hello again-" He greeted, "This seat taken?" He asked, not bothering to wait for a reply since to him it seemed obvious that it was unoccupied, before he waived down a bartender to order a drink. "You drinking?"

"Now you're just playing." Fatma smiled, it being obvious in the sound of her voice that she was more than into this kind of behaviour. Yet she kept her posture up, continuing on preparing their food. "Just don't get any ideas of turning me into a trad house wife." She let out a laugh, turning her head and just about managed to press a peck on his cheek. "But I enjoy taking care of you, so I suppose it's a win win." Her voice was softer then, leaning against his chest. "I love you." @altanceyhan

Altan clicked his tongue in a playful demeanor, "And there goes my next questions straight out the window." He spoke in a serious tone, though the grin that shaped on his lips only mere seconds later revealed that he was only joking. "I can't imagine you as a trad house wife." He told her truthfully, smiling at the peck to the cheek. "I think you are much too free spirited for that." Not to forget she was talented at her job, and clearly loved it. "I love you too." He told her, leaning in again slightly to his breath could be sensed against the skin of her neck. Cohen appreciated the other being so kind to him; he'd have understood entirely if Altan had told him to kick rocks and sued him for all the bike repairs; in fact, there was a small part of him that had expected it with all the stuff he'd had piling on top of him recently. It really had felt like one thing after the other and Cohen was thankful that the other was giving him the grace he hadn't been able to give himself. "Thank you man." he nodded, extending a hand to shake - his version of a hug in most situations. "That really does take a huge weight off my shoulders, and I promise I'll talk to you." he nodded. He'd made that promise to himself; talk to anyone more. He unfortunately wasn't Superman and couldn't handle taking on everything on his own. @altanceyhan

Altan nodded again once the other thanked him, the tension in his shoulders slowly easing back, relived that Cohen believed him. "Good, that is all I ask." He said again, firmly except this time there was a small smile shaped at the corner of his lips. He walked over to his bike again a little closer, giving it another one over as he knew the damage was beyond repair even for him to take on himself. "If it is any comfort, I am sure the wife will thank you." He told him, "I am not sure how much she actually appreciated it when I bought this anyway, I sure know my mom hated it, so if not Fatma, my mother will for sure send you a thank you card." @cohenblake

Smiling at her husband, she made no effort to further distance herself from her husband. Not after she made sure to instill herself with how his eyes looked and the curves of his facial features. Only when he moved to proceed on his laptop did she move away, starting to unpack the grocery bags. "I can do stirred. With bacon? parsley in the eggs?" Fatma asked, only to be met with the touch of his large hands on her waist which made her breathe out in anticipation. "Are you going to help?" She asked teasingly. "Because you're being very distracting right now." Her hands found his, drawing them to the front of her belly so she could hold on better, leaning against his chest. "This is nice." @altanceyhan

Altan looked at his wife, smiling while he nodded. "You know me too well." He told her, still in awe that he had managed to find a woman like Fatma to marry. Tightening his grip slightly at her waist, he leaned down only to let his lips tease the skin of her neck. "Depends on waht kind of help you are referring to." He responded in a teasing tone, moving his hands forward only to caress the skin of her stomach. "It is." He agreed, "I love watching you prepare our food for us. "There's just something about Kismet that pulls you back," a smile crept upon her lips before adding, "probably like other small towns I'd presume." Though she had absolutely no idea if that was the case, but she'd presume so at least. "Don't we all? Unfortunately I feel like we do. I know I sure have to remember to," her eyes met his and she let out a soft chuckle, definitely having to remember to slow down when she can remember to. "That's good, and oh life is always work," she didn't ha e a husband or even a boyfriend at this point but her dog kept her on her toes at times. "All the time. "There really is." Altan agreed, a soft hum under his breath. Despite his efforts, he had not managed to stay away from his home town. He listened with a gentle hum of understanding, his fingers brushing absently along the rim of his glass as she spoke. "Sounds like you’ve got a full plate," he said, the corner of his mouth lifting into a slight smile. He shifted slightly in his seat, leaning in just enough that his voice lowered. "But even with all that, you should still get a little time that belongs only to you." He added, which he knew was probably easier said than done. @niaclairmont

"Good morning." Fatma smiled as she re-entered the house. She had gone to the store real quick to get some breakfast. Freshly baked bread, smoothies and rich options of meats, cheese and fruit. "Wasn't sure what you were craving so I got pretty much everything." She spoke, stealing a quick kiss from his lips. She'd left before he woke, a note on her pillow so he knew she'd be back. "Want me to make you some eggs? Stirred, sunny side, cooked?" @altanceyhan

Altan was waiting for Fatma to return in their kitchen, coffee freshly brewed while he was going through some of his work e-mails that he had left from the day before. His eyes glanced up from the screen when he heard the keys in the door, and the familiar voice sound through the room. "Morning." He called back, smiling once she appeared in the kitchen. "Mm, that sounds perfect." He said, kissing her back before he pressed send on the e-mail and closed the laptop. "Stirred sounds perfect." He told her, making his was over to her as his hands found the small at her waist. @fatmaxaslan

"They never do. That's what makes me so good at it," she grinned again, nodding her head decisively in agreement that he should absolutely be careful with what he agreed to with her around. She was the first to suggest the craziest, stupidest things to do and the last to back down when logic and sense suggested it. Her brows lifted when he mentioned getting married, head tilting curiously to the side with his follow up to that. "Not a one woman kind of guy doesn't seem like the kind of guy that should be getting married," she pointed out, now endlessly curious as to what had driven the man to follow through with a marriage. "How is it that you tripped and fell into a wedding?" As someone who was certainly a lot looser when it came to relationships, Aliye couldn't argue that a marriage could be classified as danger, the thought bringing another bright laugh out of her. "No arguments from me, marriage sounds very dangerous. Me, though, mmm. Hard to pick one, but I've done some pretty stupidly dangerous cave dives before. My kind of danger...definitely more hands on."

Altan huffed a quiet laugh, shaking his head at her phrasing. "Yeah, you’re probably right about that. Not exactly the poster boy for commitment," he admitted with a wry grin. "It's kind of hard to explain, a long story too-" He admitted, and not sure it was one he should get into with someone he had only recently met, though he had already admitted to her things even some of his closest friends did not know about him. He just had this sense of no judgement coming from her, which led him to believe she wouldn't be one of those trying to talk him out of it. "Let's just say the wife and I have an arrangement." One that swung both ways, even if her take on it was only more recent. "And it works for us." He added before raising a brow at her. "Cave diving though? That’s a whole different level. I think I’ll stick to keeping my risks above sea level, thanks." He tilted his head slightly, a smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth. "You really don’t have an off switch, do you? Everyone offered their condolences. Everyone offered their time if he needed anything. Unfortunately, what he needed and what he wanted, no one could give him. "Thanks, Altan." Abraham gave him a sincere smile because despite the world not being able to bring back his sister, he was glad to have people in his corner. "Honestly, I am not sure anything could dull my completive spirit." He joked with the other man. "You still been traveling for work a lot?" Abraham had been guilty of not spending time with others as of lately, but he still wanted to know what was going on in their lives. @altanceyhan

"Yeah, that sounds about right. I don’t think anything short of a natural disaster could dull that part of you," he told him, glancing over at Abraham with an easy grin. "And yeah, the travel’s been steady. A few shoots out of town, a couple of longer trips lined up for next month, but nothing too wild." He straightened up, adjusting his grip on the paddle. "I am actually hoping to be able to take a break from traveling soon." He added honestly with a shrug. "Spend some more time with the wife and all that, you know." Especially now that he was thinking more of the fact that maybe it was time they considered taking their marriage to a new level by having kids of their own. @abrahamxwhitney

Nodding, Cohen looked at the other and then back at his feet. Despite the fact that Altan had yet to actually yell at him, Cohen felt like he was being scolded; unable to focus on anything besides the way his heart was thumping in his chest. The other had every right to be mad at him; Cohen had ruined his bike because he'd been too distracted to drive it properly. "I'm really sorry again, man. And I know. I was trying to handle all of it on my own and I realized really quickly that I just can't." he sighed. "It'll all be okay, I know that, but, I wish it would've gone a little differently that's for sure." @altanceyhan

Altan’s expression softened, the tension in his shoulders easing as he watched Cohen stare at the ground. "Hey," he said quietly, stepping a little closer. "You don’t have to keep apologizing. What’s done is done." He let out a slow breath, his voice steady but gentle. "I get wishing it went differently, but the fact that you’re standing here talking to me? That’s what matters." He gave a faint, reassuring half-smile. "We’ll sort out the rest, alright? The bike, everything else. But next time you start thinking you’ve got to deal with it all alone, remember what I said. I’ve got your back." He told him, as he truthfully was not mad about the bike at all.

Abraham was staying as busy as he could after Diana's death. From work to hobbies, he knew that if he slowed down the whole world would come crashing down around him. Not to mention what was happening with Georgia's mother. So getting out on the water with Altan seemed like the right move to clear his mind and a little friendly competition never hurt anyone. "I'm hanging in there." Abraham answered honestly, standing next to their canoe. "Yeah, that sounds good to me. Especially after we leave these people in the dust." @altanceyhan

Altan gave his friend a sympathetic smile, before nodding, "You know, if there is anything I can do-" He began, offering even if he was sure he wasn't the only one who'd been offering lately. "Just let me know." Despite his busy schedule, he would always try and make time for the people who mattered something to him. A small grin shaped on his lips, "I am glad to hear that your competative spirit is still up." He said, "These people got nothing on us, I am sure." He added, grabbing a tight hold of his paddle. Altan's assessment of her brought a grin to Aliye's lips, head nodding along in agreement. "Criminal mastermind, I love that. I've always considered a life of crime, I think I could be really good at it," she joked, laughing to show that she was absolutely kidding. Being underestimated had always worked for her, putting her in the right spot to compete on Survivor and win. Even in just conversations like this it opened her up to be able to surprise people. Aliye found her own comfortable spot to lean up against one of the rails of the dock as Altan did, head tilted to face him as he talked more about himself. "Relaxing is overrated. Being on the go just makes life feel richer, like you're really doing the most you can with it. But, come on, you have to have done something more dangerous than that. What's the scariest thing you've ever done?"

Altan’s mouth twitched slightly at her joke, though his expression stayed composed, eyes glinting with faint amusement. "A criminal mastermind, huh? Can’t say I saw that one coming," he said, voice even but edged with quiet humor. "Guess I’ll have to be careful what I agree to around you." He leaned against the railing again, gaze following the slow ripple of the water before he answered her question. "Scariest thing I’ve done…” he repeated, thoughtful for a moment. “Probably getting married." His shoulders lifted in a small shrug. "I have never been a one woman kind of guy-" And he still wasn't really, but he had been struggling to find someone else to share his attention as of late. “Though maybe you’ve got a more… hands-on definition of danger in mind?"
