My name is Oh Hyuk

I’m like a flower.

Just like how a flower will die without water and sunlight, I will also die without my hobby. Like how a flower can’t stay at one place for a long time, I can’t stay at one place for a long time if it’s uninteresting. So I hate maths and science. But when I do what I like time flies and I manage, like a sunflower gazing at the sun. Like the flowers’ stem absorbing nourishments, I also absorb my nourishments from my area of interests. I have a timid personality, so rather than approaching friends first, I tend to be on guard, like a rose protecting its’ confidence with its’ thorns.

Like how a flower grows when it hears a song, I too like music very much. Like giving water to a flower, I have hobbies that give me strength like reading, managing my CYworld, composing etc., however the thing I like the most is enjoying songs and music. Even though I have no skill, if I don’t do this, I think I will die, just like how a flower dies. Like treasuring a flower, I’ll also get crooked if I don’t give love to my interests. Like a blooming flower, I want to make music but the thing I have to do is finance. If I’ll make music, I’ll be able to do it happily and whole-heartedly because it’s what I wish to do, but since people tell me that when I grow up I cannot become a man who will let his children starve, I think I’ll have to keep music as a hobby.

Even though the metaphor contains flowers, my wish is to live as the weeds of Himalayas, not as a flower in a greenhouse.
