“Yeah, you. Just a little. It’s not a compliment you should go writing home to momma about, though,” immediately, she tried to back away from it. Her words weren’t even all too kind or special, but they were so unusually positive, she didn’t want to associate them with herself, any longer. Yeah, it was something of a compliment– she couldn’t deny that– but it was one more easily given than Andrea was used to, and she half regretted it. “Oh. You know– do you guys get to avail of the free condoms, too? Are teachers allowed sleep with one another, or is that kinda frowned upon? What happens if a teacher gets caught with a student?” Poor Alvy. Try and make sense of one question already asked, and he opened himself up to even more. Andrea could’ve held back, and not been so inappropriately nosy, but… well, she was kind of on a roll. “Only one?” She blinked in surprise, thinking to some of the things she’d seen fellow students get up to during the latest party. He seemed pretty genuine– but she had to wonder how many students didn’t come in, weekly, that let that number stay so low. “I’ve heard that the school had, like, an outbreak of chlamydia two years ago, and that parents actually threatened to sue. Would you even be able to tell me if there had been an outbreak? Or would you have to keep that secret?” It wasn’t really a secret if he told so easily, she supposed, but it was just another in a long line of questions she deemed necessary, “I wonder how often students and teachers get together…- have you ever gotten with a student? You don’t look too old…- you’ve probably got plenty of college students to choose from, huh?”
“I-I wouldn’t write to my mom about that,” Alvy stated, just the idea of his mother practically struck fear in his heart. He’d never reach out to her, not unless he had to. Alvy, to say the least, was a little taken aback as her questions continued, and only seemed to get dirtier as they passed. “I-I mean- Anyone can come in and take them, we don’t... keep track of who takes them. We just.. give them out.” He shrugged, he was sure he’d seen a couple of teachers, but he didn’t really think much of it. “I-I don’t know how the school would find out who’s... slept with who unless they make it a public thing somehow.” He tried to inform Andrea to the best of his ability, but he really wasn’t a pro on all of this. “I-I suppose, if they’re caught with a student, it would depend how old the student is. If they’re 18 or older, I’m not sure what the punishment would be, or if there’d be any at all. I-I haven’t heard of anything like that happening here.” Alvy wondered where she even got all of these questions from. He’d never even given a mere thought to the majority of them. “Well, I’m not the only nurse here. Maybe I’ve just been lucky?” He began to question his answer, wondering how many people actually came in weekly to get an STD test. “I wasn’t here two years ago, I haven’t heard anything. I suppose that the school would probably want to keep that under wraps if it did happen. You’d have to hunt down one of the older nurses here and ask them if you want the answer to that one.” He said with a light chuckle, some students came in asking questions, but never like this. He’d maybe heard of the chlamydia outbreak once or twice from other students, but never from an employee, so he always wrote it off as gossip. “I-I- Wh-What? No- No. I’ve never- and I-I wouldn’t be with a stu-student in-in that... way.” If Alvy was uncomfortable with anything, it was himself and any question, especially a sexual one, that involved himself. He hadn’t lived a normal life, after thirty long years, he’d never had a non-professional relationship with anyone. “I-I’m thirty, which, in your case, should be considered old.”
