What an incredible honor to be surrounded by such talented creatives in a celebration of queer life, love, and perseverance 🩵🩵🩵

I settled on a triptych design with the left and right panels depicting each man’s ’death’ (Afghanistan and Reichenbach Falls respectively) and a sort of ‘revival’ in the center as they finally come together. Of course the retirement cottage and plenty of Victorian flower language is included as well.

I hope y’all got your copies and enjoy! Thank you again for the chance to contribute to this fantastic project 🩵🏳️‍🌈🏡

The final collected book is outrageously good, and I feel very fortunate to have been included alongside the rest of this book. Huge shout-out to the organizers Minh and Sher, who were very gracious about some health stuff that cropped up for me during production and who put together a really terrific project.

I don't know if I've read too many Victorian stories or what, but, is it just me or the way Watson describes Holmes in BOSC is a bit, uuh...erotic?

Like ok, his face being flushed and dark, his brows drawn and his eyes shining, that I can understand... to a point

But, how his veins stood out in his, long sinewy neck? His nostrils dilated with... animal lust? Holmes snarling!?

Watson, are you describing how Holmes looks while in a case or how he looks while he's on top of you?

I've just finished watching the last episode of Granada's Sherlock Holmes. I've been taking my time with this last season, because I knew it was coming to an end and I wanted to make it last a long as possible.

I know many people don't watch the final season because of Brett's failing health at the time, but you are missing out on some really great episodes. They obviously had to make some accommodations around Brett's condition, but I think they did very well, and Brett still embodies Holmes splendidly.

I think my favourite episode of this last season was "The Dying Detective", so much angst potential between Holmes and Watson. It was one of the only times we see Watson fumble with his medical equipment on screen, when he thinks Holmes might be dying. Watson is always more assured in his role as a medical doctor, but not this time. It also has that great line from Holmes "If you love me, hide!" and of course Watson hides immediately, because of course he loves Holmes!

"The Golden Pince-Nez" had good Holmes brothers shenanigans, as they solve a case together.

"The Three Gables" and "The Red Circle" are both really solid and enjoyable mysteries.

Although, I did miss Lestrade, an inspector Hawkins is the main inspector for most of the season, he does a good job, but he lacks the personality of Lestrade.

My least favourite episode was probably "The Mazarin Stone", just because Sherlock was barely in it, because of Brett's health issues at the time. Although, it was a bit of fun to follow Mycroft around, and I kind of love that they decided to make Count Sylvius Mycroft's arch enemy, a la Moriarty for Sherlock, why they have beef it doesn't really matter. Also, poor long suffering Watson in that episode has to not only put up with pushy clients but also become Mycroft's second for his case. You can just see Watson wondering how he ended up in such a situation.

Also Watson, gets severely injured in at least two episodes this season, so if you like your Watson whumped, there you go.

"The Cardboard Box" is a somewhat sad episode to end on. However, I did really enjoy the short scenes we get of Holmes and Watson celebrating Christmas, it's very domestic.

It is sad that they never got to finish all the canon stories, that they never got their final bow. However, I think I like where we left them. It's Christmas time, Holmes and Watson are both still together at Baker St, and they always shall be.
