The Search for Alpha Trion is one of my favorite G1 episodes not only because it was the introduction of Elita One and the other female Autobots, but because we got to see Elita and Optimus as a couple.
They both are willing to risk their lives for each other and never lost their love throughout the time they were apart. I absolutely love that Optimus completely trust Elita to fight on Cybertron while he fights on Earth.
I wish that we could have seen more of their relationship in the series. It's really ashame that Elita only appear in two episodes. It would have been interesting to see her interacting with Bumblebee and Spike and being motherly towards them like how Optimus is fatherly to them.
