The little hand creature gave me so much trouble but I'm pretty happy with how it ended up :)

I had so much fun drawing the last few beta pokemon and I thought, hey I should draw some more! This then spiraled and now I'm doing a challenge thing????

Im gonna try and draw some beta pokemon every day until I've done them all ... okay not actually ALL of them, just the ones i like and think are cool or cute or something.

If all goes well then hopefully as the days go by I'll get better and better at this and you'll all see my art improve in real time. Anyway here's day one :)

today i'm doing a new tumblr fun thing where we rank how fun video games are to play when you're stoned

overcooked: 7/10 - pretty fun gameplay wise the only problem is that you'll never get anytjhing done because it actually requires decent cooporation and quick thinking

minecraft - 8/10 - pretty solid, futher testing required but can be very fun. survival is less fun because i diead a lot :,(

peggle - 2/10 - very bad, cant even beat a single fucking level i hate this fucking game it's too hard all of the pieces need to stay where they areeee >:( (edit from 30 seconds later, i beat the single fucing level)

mariop kart - 9/10 - thera are a LOT OF COWS 🐮🐮🐮🐮. MOO.. HERE IS A PICTUE I took when i was stopping to look at the cows 🥺🥺🥺🥺

and alnother picture from when i hit a cow wit hmy car 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺

anyway that was really fun i actgualkly might make this 10/10 but only if you play the levels with cows

Continent 3!

Not much going on today, cindervale isn't near water because it's a mining town and is actually connected to deep brow via mountain tunnel system.

This is officially the first fully completed kingdom on the map you won't see the Wærmunds again until we get to the full atlas. Progress!

Newest map isn't that cool its a smaller area and there really isn't much going on so it's kinda blah, I did try something new with how I draw shores though so that's good

what's the largest magical biome, what caused it, and why is it still there?

the largest magical biome is also the hardest to reach. For millenia any time anyone creates a magical tool that is considered too evil it was brought to the middle of the ocean and dumped. As the nation's became more connected this tradition spread and slowly more and more artifacts built up causing all sorts of side effects. It's kinda like a brimuda triangle. Dumping is no longer allowed as the build up of magic is recognized as incredibly dangerous and likley disastorous. The area is heavily monitored and studied as the build up of magic has resulted in unique flora, fauna, and weather patterns. While they have the equipment to go down and remove the artifacts they ellect not to as the consequences of messing with this already dangerously balanced ecosystem are unknown and could result in severe damages to the world itself.

how do magic users aid your empires' military logistics?

It's different for each group so here's a list :)

heilfrid: there magic users are mostly on medic duty and it's considered a pretty prestigious position to be in as in there culture the common belief is that only the strongest of mind and soul can handle the difficult work of medicine. Occasionally you'll get someone without magic in the medical unit or someone with magic in the battle units but those are few and far between and the magic users usually aren't permitted to use magic while fighting(they have a thing about all soldiers being one fighting spirit and having a guy who can shot bombs at you with his mind kinda messes up the uniformity)

faramund: faramund doesn't have magic users anywhere near the battle feild as magic users are more considered commodities in this kingdom and are sold to the elite who aren't so willing to send there favorite toys off to die. There is one famous story about a sorcerer becoming a warrior only for the Gods (oliker and gweell. I'll get into them later) to smite him and send the whole battalion marching off a cliff in retribution though.

maeve: ALOT of there fighters can use magic. Most of there fighting techniques center around being stealthy and using various forms of poison and magic to slowly whittle down the enemy untill there weak enough for a frontal strike. So magic users are a big help.

Nechtan: magic in nechtan isn't really considered special and so you just kinda get them mixed in with the other fighters. This kingdoms battle techniques tho that's where this gets interesting. There's a commonly held belief that the goddess fira orphin will guide a battalion to victory if they fight in her domain and so nechtan strategies consist of trying to get the enemy close to a body of water or getting magic users to fill the feild with water/make it rain. This also helps because they know how to fight in mud and there enemies might not.

wearmund: these folks are defensive machines. They surround all of there settlements with giant walls and they could all be classified as fortresses because of this if you want to get into magic abjuration is considered the only real choice and they are put to good use on the front lines acting as walking shields for the rest of the group. Anyone else usually spends there time fixing and mending broken walls and armor as fast and effective as possible.

Angharad: these guys are the science and math loving hippies of the world and do there best to stay neutral in every situation but on the off chance they do get into a fight... they dominate. Magic users are basically there only type of soldier while everyone else back home works on forging and building magical automatons to be activated once they get to battle feild. The other groups are mostly held in line because of the Angharads, they know that if they go to far THEY will get involved and they know they can't win if they do.

what minor* magical weed is most common in your fantasy world and why is it so difficult to get rid of?

*minor as in it's technically magical but it doesn't do anything overly powerful. Maybe it looks slightly more yellow than regular yellow or maybe it uses darkness instead of sunlight during photosynthesis

There this lovely little powder blue and pink plant called ribbonroot. It's got a couple of problems. Number one because it's an overall pretty plant some people grow them for fun or aesthetics... This is bad. Ribbonroot is called ribbonroot because the roots are strong and thick like ribbon and to top it all off if they get big enough they will connect roots with other ribbonroot and at that point there's just no getting them out of the ground... There is an old human wives tale that if a pregnant women crushes the petals which ever color is most dominant is the gender of the baby tho!

And so here is version two of continent 1. I plan on doing this one continent at a time so that I can post more frequently and I don't tire myself out
