i saw your new movie pop up on my netflix feed and obviously i had to go watch it. while i enjoyed it a lot and didn't see the twists coming, have to say you were absolutely the best part of it. not to mention, you looked incredible wow. giving you an easy 12/10. how do you feel now that the movie is out there for the world to see? / @alycas

stoooop. getting praised from my favorite gal was not on my to-do list today, but you know your support and love always means the most to me. i feel on top of the world. i feel like this film is about to sky rocket my career in a very positive way. it's gaining a lot of mainstream success, and outside of being part of a franchise like the walking dead, this is one of the biggest things i've done to date.

paul: i have a feeling that it's going to live up to the hype so you can rest easy. there will be no ego deflating happening tonight, i promise. paul: the most haunting sound in the universe. isn't it? love a good mindless comedy. abbott elementary is pretty high up there on my list too so highly suggest checking it out if you haven't already. one season in exchange for keeping my cool points? consider it done. just don't go slapping a timeline on it because i'm incredibly slow at getting through shows. hm, i kind of see it. what do you think though? do you think we could pull off brothers?

alycia: i appreciate that. it has a solid cast of amazing actors, so if i'm not enough to save it, i hope at the very least they are. i think you might be able to keep your cool points for that comment alone. alycia: i think it might be right up there with that clicking noise from hereditary. oh yeah? i'll add that to my list as well. since we are sharing mindless comedies, you should add vice principles to that list of yours. there is no timeline at all, but if you ever just want to sit and laugh at sheer stupidity, that's one to do it. plus walton goggins is a mastermind. i think you both could definitely pass as brothers. i feel like that's a perk you should cash in on at some point. i heard a rumor that they wanted to revamp sons of anarchy from the kids point of view, so you'd be a shoe in for abel.

paul: between your pitch and netflix's endless promo, i don't know anyone could sit this one out. i'm gonna watch it tonight and see just how shocked this ending leaves me. need my timbers shivered. paul: pretty sure that particular scene plays during a spiral into madness so hard pass. i'd say i'm more of a how i met your mother type of man anyways. phew, had me sweating. thanks for not pulling it, darling. i'll have to work hard to keep these cool points where they're at.

alycia: the joke is gonna be on me if your timbers aren't in fact shivered. promise to lie to me even if you aren't impressed? not sure my ego could take a blow like this after i've talked such a big game about it. alycia: sometimes if i sit in a dark room i can hear it faintly in the darkness. how i met your mother is such a good show. the office is a good binge watch as well. i'm pretty sure i've seen it a million times. i promise to keep those cool points in tact if you watch another season. i swear it does get better beyond season one. also it's a known fact that the world thinks you and charlie hunnam could play brothers.

paul: no apology needed. the more promo, the better. promise i'll go into it blind as a bat. skipping the synopsis and everything. paul: it's a good show but i don't think i could make myself sit through a second watch. there's only so much ross gellar that one can take. ah, solid choice. i've only seen the first season so how many cool points am i losing here?

alycia: proud of you. the 'wtf' moment at the end will be worth it. i promise. i filmed the movie and even i was a little shocked at how good it was at the end. alycia: you mean you don't want PIVOTTTT stuck in your head? oh god. i had a split moment where i thought about taking my swipe away, but at least you've seen the first season. i suppose i'll let you keep your cool points for now.

Alycia: lmfaoo. are you the president? it did sort of feel that way. but now that i'm back home we have to actually use some of this time we have to play catch up. i need to know what crazy shenanigans you have gotten yourself into since we've been apart. i also need you to watch my latest film because i've waited two years for the world to see it, and i need to know what you think of it too.

thank you, but hey — he also could have shared, as that was rude, you know ? i think one day he'll look back and regret it, realizing who his date was with type thing, but it's whatever. i think i truly did. i want someone who will share the weed, wait for me or we just not have it at all and enjoy time together.

i'm not gonna hold my breath for him to realize what he had, but it's a nice thought. everyone tells me that i'm pretty lucky to have gotten a free meal out of it, and while that's true, it's more than an hour of my life i'll never get back. you definitely deserve all of that, plus more. you are a gem, and such a fucking bombshell. don't let anyone treat you less than the queen you are.

That's true, isn't it? I don't think I've ever had too many complaints about Waffle House. I'm sorry about the ignorance, even though it's clear that person should have been apologizing. It's weird because I've known my wife for such a long time and made so many memories even before being together. I probably would have not believed I'd be married to her a few years ago but I'm glad I am! You never truly know until someone makes the first move or hint.

the waffle house can be good in it's own right. spent a number of early mornings after some intense shoots eating grits and eggs there. he probably should have, but i didn't expect much from a guy like him. that's so beautiful though. sometimes you have to go through the really bad ones to find the one you are meant to be with, and it sounds like you found that person.

It’s high time we remind Hollywood of what Aussies can do. We’ve got the talent and the charm, just need to show it off a bit more. And don’t stress too much about the accent. It’s still there, trust me, but we could always start a “how to get your Australian accent back” course. Congrats on the premiere, by the way! Happy for you. Always love to see your projects like Fear, the 100 and more. As for me, been busy with a couple of projects in the works, can’t share too much yet, but there’s some exciting stuff coming. So, when’s the next trip back home?

alycia: i would apologize, but it looks like netflix is doing the lords work and tossing the film at anyone and everyone it can. you will have to tell me what you think about it. it's definitely one of those films that you have to go into blind, because the twist and turns throw you for the biggest loop. alycia: as much as i don't mind friends, my comfort show would have to be sons of anarchy. don't come for me...jax teller can be very comforting.
