Lara poured herself a punch, wiggled her brows and chucked it back. She’d grown up on the stuff, it didn’t hit her quire as hard as maybe it would the others in the town. “Exactly what I need.” The question took her by surprise and had her grinning from ear to ear. “Well I am absolutely flattered that you think I look fancy enough, but no, I’m only a translator. Thought I ought to look nice for the shindig.” It was the ultimate compliment that she was confused for a princess, she could have hugged the woman for saying it at all. She picked up some of the chocolate snack mix and popped it in her mouth. “Mmm, did you make this?”
Her shoulders visibly relaxed when the woman confirmed she was not a royal. “Well your dress is beautiful.” Aly said with a smile. “Good job. And good luck. Must be rough having to work for those pricks.” She probably should have been more discreet about her hatred, but it was only the two of them at that time. “I did not! But it’s really delicious. Just, again, really strong.”
