What a milestone—40 years of adventuring.

This special is from a scene much further in the LU comic. It felt like a fitting way to reflect on the journey that started it all. What an impression it left, as we still feel that sense of adventure all these years later.

Why is the motif related to something becoming darker than dark, or being consumed by darkness, or secrets or fear etc etc used prominently in exactly One character's themes, that being Susie. Why her. Is the motif actually about finding hope in the dark? (Susie's smile shining brighter than any darkness, her being generally associated with hope and light, Dark place and Neverending night playing in scenes where the message is to keep going despite it all...) Or is it actually something bad and a sign that she might have a dark fate?

FORGOT TO ADD BUT not only is it just a motif in VS. Susie and Imminent death, but it's the MAIN MELODY. (You could argue against it in vs. Susie's case, but it's the part that sounds the loudest anyway) it was the first time we heard it wayyy before chapter 4, where it is most prominent (and associated with darkness!)
