Goodnight, Captain Von Trapp 😔💔
You’d really marry me after everything you’d learned? If you ask nicely. Diana Bishop, my love, will you marry me? Of course I will.
You decided to join us again have you? I only closed my eyes for a second.
“Let me tell you this: if you meet a loner, no matter what they tell you, it’s not because they enjoy solitude. It’s because they have tried to blend into the world before, and people continue to disappoint them.”
— Jodi Picoult
Oh no...oh yes...

PLEASE HELP ANNE
Hey guys. So there’s a great show that you may or may not have heard of, called ‘Anne With An E’. Based off of Anne of Green Gables by L.M Montgomery, it’s a truly magical show and I don’t think you’d understand what I mean until you’ve watched it
It helped me out of a really dark place during a really tough time and it’s helped me learn to take care of myself better. I truly and honestly think that it could do the same for so many people, especially young people and that is so crucial in today’s world filled with depression, anger, anxiety, and unhappiness.
However. The show was produced by the CBC in association with Netflix. Recently the CBC has revealed that it will no longer be producing shows with Netflix. They have decided to cancel ‘Anne With An E’. As much as this breaks my heart, this is not just about me. The show’s directors were given no prior warning and so were not able to prepare for this and give the show a proper ending.
This is not just circumstantial but also a question of dignity. With no prior notice, many storylines from the classic book series by L.M Montgomery have been left incomplete.
One particularly sensitive plot point of great importance left open-ended is the storyline of Ka’kwet, an indigenous member of the Miꞌkmaq people. In the story, Ka’kwet along with many other young native Indian children have been tricked by the ‘whites’ into boarding a ‘residential school’ where they are kept by force and are prohibited to speak their native tongue or use their own native names, instead given English names.
Ka’kwet, who escaped and ran home to her campsite and family was forcefully dragged back by men from the school, after repeatedly being told by her parents that they no longer want her at the school. The parents then make their way to the boarding school to bring her back with the help of their white friends, main protagonists of the show. The school refuses to let them see their daughter and after their white friends have left, they are kicked off the school’s premises.
Ka’kwet’s story ends here, with the cancellation of the show. She is trapped inside a residential school in which they physically and mentally abuse and repress young native Indian children, often locking them behind bars as punishment. She watches from a locked room as her parent camp in the distance hoping for their child to be returned to them.
This storyline is by far the most heartbreaking one of all within the show. Especially seeing that it tells the story of many hundreds of native Indians who suffered in abusive ‘schools’ like this. This storyline was not a mere fictional plot, but was an illustration of the life that real people went through. The show’s abrupt cancellation forces its writers to leave Ka’kwet’s story unfinished. It is not given justice.
NOT TELLING HER STORY IS JUST AS BAD AS TORTURING HER
AWAE is a show that discusses important topics like Ka’kwet’s story; along with racism, homophobia, misogyny, mental health, human rights, cultural repression and discrimination. The cancelation of the show is pure injustice and heartlessness.
AWAE fans still continue to rally for the reinstallation of Anne With An E. Having such important messages, this magical tribute to L.M Montgomery’s beloved series cannot and must not end.
This is a simple petition that you can sign in less than two minutes to help support the renewal of the magical world that is ‘Anne With An E’. Over 100, 000 people have signed but it is still not anywhere near enough to show how important the show and it’s stories are in today’s world.

If you’re really interested in helping, another thing that could really help is to tweet with the hashtags: #renewawae #renewanne #renewannewithane #annewithane #annE
And I strongly urge you all to also watch this series. It will help you to understand why this is so important to me and so many others around the world.
It always has been, and always will be you.
Pen pals?
Just obsessing for a bit!!!!
