“I–I’m sorry, this is really embarrassing.” Perched on the sidewalk, the brunette allowed herself to come until –only a little bit, at least. Phoebe’s tears were partly due to exhaustion and partly due to being overwhelmed. She usually was a master at handling 48 hour shifts, but the amount of patients coming into the hospital had sent her over the edge. So much pain, so much loss… The usually clinical space was now somber… And dark. It didn’t make her job any easier. “I just… Need a second.”
Amanda had heard that the hospital was in need of blood, and since there was nothing she could really do at home in the dark, she’d decided to make her way over there, to do her part. She was a citizen of Granier after all-- even if she was newer than most. She wanted to help out in any way she could, to take her mind off the traumatizing events from earlier in the day, as well as the unsettling texts she’d received in the last few hours. She was just about to enter the small hospital, when she saw Phoebe looking extremely overwhelmed. She might’ve walked right by her before, to mind her own business, but after everything that had happened in the last couple of weeks, Amanda felt for her, and couldn’t just leave her there by herself. “--Why are you apologizing?”
