welcome to amandas-anger-issues. I've started this blog to talk about saw (amanda mainly) and to maybe make some friends as well.

a bit about me: my name is noa, she/they. I'm a 01 liner and demigirl-flux lesbian. I love horror and gore, regularly make memes, picture and video edits, write analyses and just babble on about things I love like the saw franchise.

➳ I regularly edit pictures like making icons so if you'd like me to edit anything or make a meme for you, feel free to request.

➳ I like to analyze things such as amanda's behavior. (I'm pretty good at spotting even the smallest things) so if you'd like me to write about a certain part of the saw movies you can request it any time, though I might decline if there's not enough to write or it doesn't interest me as much.

➳ English isn't my first language but I'm fluent in it I suppose haha

I like to imagine that John enjoys drinking pu’er (traditional chinese loose leaf tea). He seems like he’d enjoy the process of setting up the tools and making the tea and uses that time as a type of meditation.

There’s also a thing called tea pets that are being used (which are little clay pieces) that you pour the first steep over since you dont drink it 🥹

I honestly find the process of steeping the tea fascinating and relaxing to watch. If you dont know about it go watch some videos on yt!

if you didn't know: shawnee read the book before filming saw iii and based some of the scenes (specifically the scene of placing all the "tools" on a piece of cloth) as well as her behavior on things that are touched upon in the book!

tw: It's mostly about women who self harm after having been abused but even though it's more than two decades old still gives some good insight into the topic. would recommend to anyone!

I read it a couple years back and I found it quite interesting to see where shawnee got her ideas for the knife scene as well as the tools and ritual-like setup in one scene from as well as a lot of amanda's behavior.

as someone who used to self harm and is into psychology a lot of it wasn't new to me but even now to get some basic knowledge on the topic (specifically on women that were abused and started to self harm since that's mostly what the book talks about) I would still recommend it. for up to date information I would refer to some newer works.
