PHASMA:
The Captain stood up, going back to her impressive height and looking down at Amani âNone at all?â she then asked curiously âSurely, everyone has some part in thisâŠâ she mused âEven if curious bystanders to the events unfoldingâ She now pushed a hand through her short blonde locks. âA philosophy that I agree with you on, how will people learn from fake wars and battles? Killing a real person changes you, prepares youâŠâ she nodded, she knew sheâd liked this one for a reason.
âI have no place in it,â she said again, with more force this time. As far as she was concerned, the Force hadnât brought her back to be the participant in anotherâs game. It brought her back to deal with unfinished business. Nothing more. âYes, war and murder certainly arenât what generated imagery might lead one to believe.â Amani stifled a cough behind her hand, nodding. âThough the days of simulation theaters seem to have come and gone for me. Right now, Iâm more concerned with maintaining my health.â
SNOKE:
âLive as long as I do, and itâs all youâll do.â Snoke raised his eyebrows very slightly at her, he would be lying if he said he wasnât suspicious. âI suppose not. Have you seen him yet? Ren?â Oh, what he wouldâve given to see that conversation.
Her jaw became a little tighter, her eyes a bit darker at the mention of him. âYes, I have. Though I must say, he was... quite unlike himself. Perhaps the illness has made him weak.â Or maybe it was time that did that. She loosed a small sigh. âHe could barely speak he was so overwhelmed with emotion. What do you make of him these days?â
ORION:
orion didnât realize that the other woman had said something to her before a few moments passed. she was too busy being distracted by the fact that her former lover was sitting right in front of her. ââoh uhâŠâ she had forgotten that she looked at least thirty years older from the first time they had met. orion just wasnât sure if she should reveal her identity. âno,â she stated with a shake of her head. it was the truth. âshe died in combat.â
Oh, stars. She couldnât fight the sharp gasp that broke past her lips. So that was it then. The resemblance was simply too uncanny, and Amani was convinced that this girl was Orionâs descendant. And Orion was gone. She shouldnât have been pained by the knowledge, and yet here she was, her eyes stinging with unshed tears. âOh...â The only thing holding her back was a sliver of doubt. âDo you know her name?â

PHASMA:
âAnd what role do you play in all of this?â Phasma asked, looking up from the battered book that she had found in one of the dusty underground rooms âYour face, itâs not one I really thought iâd see againâŠâ The blonde admitted as she closed the dusty book. âYou often skulked around the simulation rooms..â she mused, tilting her head at the other.
@amanixs
Amani twisted the pendant dangling from her necklace, glancing up at the Captain. She kept her face impassive. Her hand twisting came to a brief halt as she said, âI have no part of any of thisâ and resumed again. She almost thought to say nothing further, but rudeness is unbecoming, and even with her mind scheming again, she knows to be kind. âI didnât like simulation rooms. I much prefer the real thing.â
VERYA:
no progress on a cure. nothing.
the inaction is starting to grate at her more now than ever. she is weaker than sheâs been in recent memory, and at some point the true realization that she might actually die has begun to crawl up her spine. itâs then that she starts isolating herself, slipping away from others and finding quiet corners to sit. trying to center herself - some part of her reaching all the way back to those teachings back at the temple (the last place and time she remembers being truly sick, young and her first time off of her home planet), somewhere she tries her best not to return to even in memory.
and remembering that hurts too, amongst all the aches and pains, but she doesnât know what else to do with herself.
verya coughs thickly, listening to the sound of her own lungs, the wheeze of her breath. âfuck.â
When she sees her, her footsteps falter. It has been too long, Verya, is her first thought. Amani forces herself forward until she reaches the glass. How bizarre, that each knight she visits might be dying, and it is she who is healthy and alive. The Force works mysteriously, and destiny is cruel, and existence is such a futile thing (something Luke never taught them at the temple, but these are facts Amani discovered on her own in quick succession).
Amani knocks on the glass to the rhythm of a childrenâs song, one sung around the temple when she was smaller. Perhaps it will bring her out of hiding, perhaps not.
âVerya,â she calls gently.Â
EFFIE:
@amanixs
Even though things were a lot quieter and more eerie on Naboo with so many behind the quarantined glass, Effie much preferred to be out and free rather than infected and contained. Besides visiting Snoke and Kylo and occasionally assisting Phasma with some investigating, she didnât have much to do lately. As much as she wished she could be of better assistance, research and scientific knowledge simply wasnât her thing, and it had left her to wandering around aimlessly, thinking of what she would do if both of her mentors were to perish from this disease. It left her without purpose, which aggravated her.Â
As she walked away from the visitation area, turning to emerge to the outdoors once again, her eyes caught sight of an incredibly familiar girl. Her features were soft and her hair cascaded in waves down her back facing away from Effie, as if she were a walking pixie. Effie stared in surprise for a moment, racking her mind to remember who she was and how she knew her. When she couldnât come to a proper conclusion, she let out a huff, then strode towards the other female. âHey, whatâs your name? You look familiar as a dead star.â
Amani stood in the middle of the hall, her face turned to the sunlight as it poured into the hall. From behind, she certainly must have looked stunning, but from the front her features told an entirely different story. Such was the result of seeing your murderer, discovering the truths hidden from the dead.Â
Her hands were cupped over her mouth, her chest heaving with the last of a terrible, almost-sob. Her eyes burned with unshed tears and when she opened them upon hearing the newcomer, the dark of her irises almost glowed amber.Â
Familiar as a dead star. That certainly was an apt way to describe her.
Her hands dropped to her sides. A lone inhale, a deep exhale, and she began to regain her composure. But this didnât change the fact that her previous state of undoing was still very plain. âAmani,â she told the girl quickly, forcing a smile. âTetsu.â And who in the stars is asking?

SNOKE:
Snoke only lifted his head slightly when he heard a small noise. At first, he thought of ignoring it before he realized just who was there. âIt seems the force is bringing everyone back to life.â He mused, his voice weaker than heâd like, standing up slowly and walking over to the glass. âAmani Tetsu, what did you want? I doubt itâs to say hello to an old friend.â
âYou should doubt less, then.â The corners of her lips tugged upward into a slight, almost coy smile. So it is him. And to hide her trepidation-- and the shaking of her hands-- Amani kept her fingers balled up at her sides, clutching her skirts. âI came to see you. Is that a crime, Supreme Leader?â
KYLO REN:
the silence that passed between them after the spoken words was nearly deafening, but ben had not expected anything else. amani had never been the type to scream and yell in her anger, so he understood her silence, the guilt only gnawing away at him more and more with every passing moment. he had not prepared for this, not at all, not in such an unfortunate circumstance. not once had he even considered the possibility of her return, even when so many others had been revived from death. but she was right when she said the force must hate him. the force and everyone else he seemed to encounter.
finally she spoke, shattering the silence with her soft voice. ben glanced up slowly, still ashamed to meet her gaze, but he forced himself to do so as she moved to her knees before him. he stared at her, still visibly shaken, now even more so at her close proximity. a simple sheet of glass separating them. had it not been there, would she have killed him right then? maybe. maybe he would have let her. at this point, death felt more and more inevitable every day, and in this moment he had never felt so deserving of it. but a small part of him had to keep up the fight. for rey, for his future.Â
he swallowed roughly at her words, his lips separating in disarray. she didnât believe him. she never would. he found himself at a loss for words yet again, a chill running through him at her threat. was that what it was? it made him anxious, but he was reminded that death was already upon him, most likely. would she work to further the process? it wouldnât surprise him. ââŠiâŠâ he wanted to protest, prove that he was sorry somehow, but there was nothing he could do but stare at her. nothing he could say to make this any better. not now.
She brushed the back of her hand up the glass again, shushing him the way a mother might her over-exhausted child; the way she had when they were young and perfect, giggling late at night, sneaking into dark corridors. Better days, better than this. In a way, she wanted to hear him shout at her, bring her back to the very night that ended her everything. Have him declare that she couldnât threaten him if only so that she could use the Force, feel it deep inside herself, and choke him within an inch of his life.
But the speechless was just as nice. Did he feel helpless? She imagined he must. And like a silly girl, the thought wounded her. Her dark eyes wandered the contours of his face-- explored yet unfamiliar regions. Another ache in her chest, reminiscent of a blade of light thrusting into her body. She reached out to him with the Force suddenly, an invisible hand curling its index finger and then flicking his right ear.Â
Despite herself, she giggled.Â
âOh, donât be so sad, Master. The time for that comes later,â she told him as she stood, smoothing her dressâs billowy skirts with a hand. She turned on her heel and threw him a glance over her regal shoulder. âSmile for me instead, wonât you?âÂ
