“You know how we’ve had trouble recovering fancier Cabal weapons because they lock up when the operator’s armor goes offline?”

“Yeah, their nice guns stop working when we kill them.”

“Right, so I got to thinking: what if I could get the gun away from the Cabal without that failsafe kicking in, and then disable it to keep the weapon functional?”

“And to test this hypothesis, you selected the largest, most heavily armored, definitely maximally disgruntled of all Cabal unit types?”

“I always wanted to try a colossus’ machine gun—and now I have one!”

“And how exactly did you get it away from its owner?”

“I punched the colossus and took it.”

“And that worked?”

“I’m holding the damn thing, aren’t I?”

“You are, but…”

“Listen, once I, uh, disorientated the colossus, I just grabbed the gun and popped a thundercrash to fly away.”

“You turned yourself into a Light missile… as an escape tactic?”

“Yep! After that it just took Ghost a couple minutes to hack out the Cabal uplink, and badingdang! My very own colossus machine gun!”

“This is… incredible.”

“I know, I even surprised myself a little bit—”
