General Guide for Support Professor
Making sure the kids are safer when you are around.
Your stats
97 Vitality
To ensure that you are tanky enough to not get one hit by high-level mobs. This will also help you be immune, or almost, to certain Negative Buffs like Stun, Blind, Poison, Curse, etc.
135 Dexterity
Note that this is before the Blessing Buff. This helps you have shorter skill cast time that would be very beneficial during threatening times. Also, the reason it is before the buff is HPs normally do not pay that much attention to you so let’s be realistic here and take care of ourselves. Let’s be almost Instant Cast before their buff.
60 Intelligence
Note that this is just the minimum recommended amount of Intelligence so that your SP pool is around 1500. Having a high SP pool would greatly benefit those you give SP to. Just remember that giving SP to High Wizards is very disappointing as their Intelligence is triple yours...
10 Strength
This is so you can carry the consumables you need to carry without being 90% Overweight. Unlike High Wizards and High Priests, Professors can function well even when 89% Overweight.
Your consumables
5 Green Potion
While you are immune, or almost, to most negative buffs due to your high Vitality, you are not immune to Confusion. Confusion is that negative buff that makes your character go everywhere but that cell you intend it to go to. To remedy this, a quick chug of Green Potion helps.
100 Condensed White Potion
For that emergency Heal like when you need to wear GTB or when you were just resurrected and mobs are still all around you and you need to run. Since I am writing this, I recommend you buy Milk Chemist's Condensed White Potions. As of writing, she is not number 1 but she's up there.
200 Grape Juice
Why bring Grape Juice when you can just convert your HP to SP? Well, sadly, you cannot convert your HP to SP when you absolutely do not have SP. Also helpful when you really need to give someone SP and converting would take longer.
300 Cobwebs
Never forget to bring cobwebs when you are a Professor. This helps you save yourself and the party from rogue mobs. Good to note that when going to GMC Saen, having 500 is not crazy and highly encouraged.
10 Yggdrasil Leaves
Always bring these to resurrect the High Priests or people that died too far from the party to help out.
30 Fly Wings
This is for GMCs as you cannot teleport in the Endless Tower. You need to keep yourself alive so when everyone is dying and you’re about to die, fly. Save yourself so you can save others. I also recommend to purchasing the Infinite Fly Wing from the Eden Group shop as you would probably need more than 30 for the worst of cases or you can purchase a Teleport Clip (Any accessory with Creamy Card) to help manage your weight.
Your gears:
Lord Kaho's Horn
Any Midgear Int+1 [Mistress Card]
Pussy Cat Bell (Recommended but not a requirement)
Any armour [Marc Card]
Lucius' Fierce Armour of Volcano [RSX Card]
Any staff that gives Dexterity and Intelligence is recommended such as, but not limited to, Dark Thorn Staff or Survivor’s Rod or Any book that gives the same status points
Any shield [Medusa Card]
+7 Stone Buckler or Valkyrja's Shield [Alice Card] (Recommended but not a requirement)
Any shield [Golden Thief Bug Card]
Any garment [Deviling Card]
Any shoes [Eddga Card] (Recommended but not a requirement)
Any shoes [General Egnigem Cenia Card]
Any accessory that gives Dexterity is recommended such as, but not limited to, Celebration Rings
Your Main Skills
Cobweb
Soul Change
Health Conversion (Minimum Level: 3)
Monster Property
Land Protector (Minimum Level: 3)
Safety Wall Level 10
Deluge
Violent Gale
Volcano
Wall of Fog
Dispell
Gameplay
Keep an eye out for Biolab mobs. Make sure you web them especially Lord Knight Seyrens to keep the party safe. For High Priest Magaletha, cast Land Protector under it so that Snipers will not have a hard time hitting it as it casts Pneuma when receiving long-ranged attacks. Cast Land Protector on the party upon encounter of High Wizard Kathryne so that her Storm Gust does not kill the party. Lastly, after successfully trapping Paladin Randel using your web, Dispell him as he casts Defender, making Snipers’ damage low.
Give the Snipers SP whenever you can. Ask for High Priests to lay Sanctuary under you so that you can continually convert your HP to SP.
Always ask the High Wizard and the High Priest before trading SP as their SP pool is much higher than yours. If you trade when their SP pool is a quarter or so full, you would actually be taking their SP rather than giving.
When the Champion is tanking MVPs that suck SPs (like Kraken), or with mob spawns that suck SPs (like Thanatos Dolor), coordinate with them as to when they are about to re-cast Steel Body so that you can trade SPs for it.
Cast Deluge when the MvP or mob is weak to Water, Violent Gale when it is weak to Wind, and Volcano when it is weak to Fire. If unsure what it is weak to, use Monster Property.
Be mindful of where and when you cast Land Protector as it also prevents your party from casting Pneuma and Safety Wall, and even casting the Teleport Skill. Sanctuaries are also rendered useless on top of Land Protectors
Cast Volcano under the Snipers all the time only if all the Snipers are wearing Lucius’ Fierce Armour [Gloom] as it amplifies their Attack greatly.
Make sure to use your Safety Wall whenever to tank mobs from behind the party or to save party members from dying.
I don’t remember what I had written before I accidentally saved the older version over the newer version so...
Lord Knight Soloing Kraken

OMG I WANT TO ET WITH ALL THE CAKES AND DESSERTS BUT, I'M NEW WITH NO GEARS GUIDE
Welcome to White Gold's very own newbie leveling/gearing/ET/whatever-this-is guide!
So, you've just joined the world of Talon RO not to be confused with any other server due to their powerfully customized items, skills, and gears. You've somehow stumbled into the pre-meiji era town of Amatsu, spoke with someone who either typed in all caps or afked half way into the conversation and was invited to join Amatsu Desserts! Congratulations, new player! You have just become part of one of the best RO families around.
Here you will enjoy luxuries like:
Being gifted with pictures on doggo's and food in our #instrogram channel that will make you hungry and require you to order food
Getting a crash course on time-zone calculations from all over the world, cause you probably don't live in Germany, which is what our server time is based off of.
And most of all getting to party play with people who have played this server for years and have built a stockpile of “elite” and “pro” gears.
I like to refer to these players as the Immortals, cause they've been around forever and are just a tad bit outdated on the difficulty of starting on a new server. You'll find this out when you ask for gear suggestions and everything they suggest has a price tag of 200mill +
Don't fret your friendly neighborhood Spide----I mean White Gold, yes yes, White Gold is here to assist! (Opps, I almost let them know my true identity)
CHAPTER ONE: LEVELING IS A BISH
I'm assuming you have played, even for a little bit considering you found our guild to join, and you at least have a character in the 70's range and probably doesn't have too much zeny. Cool, is it a knight? If its not, log off that character and make a knight right now. This will be your FARMING CHARACTER, and will help you farm zeny to use for basic leeches/newbie gears.
But, wait there's more!
Make a secondary account to make a Priest on, and then make ANOTHER account to make a Sage on.
Now you should have 3 classes Aco, Swordman, Mage all within level range. Join them in a party and put on ExP Share.
SPORES Go 1 south of Payon and use the Mage to start killing Spores will you level. You're going to want to have Soul Strike level 10. Keep killing Spores until you can one shot them (about 500-600 damage)
WOLVES With your one person army go 2 maps south of Payon (which is one more map south of spores) You'll find wolves! Yay! Sit your aco and swordman down and start Soul Striking Wolves until you all are job 40-50, whatever you prefer. By the time you're job level 40 on all characters you should be base 70ish Remember to pick up and save strawberries to sell to players to fund GJ, Meat, Red Bloods, Blue Gems, and extra gears extra.
SLEEPERS
You've job changed your aco to a priest, your mage to a sage, your swordman to a knight and you're thinking...now what?
Go back to Wolves until they have some job levels, specifically highest level:
Flame Launcher (on Sage)
Bowling Bash (on Knight)
Fill in priest skills however you like. Hopefully after you've been at Wolves for so long and sold your strawberries you have made enough zeny to purchase AHLSPIESS (item I.D 1478) at the time writing this guide @whosell is 300k
Put that on your knight and buy some Red bloods and Blue gems to warp to sleepers field.
THIS IS WHERE IT GETS IMPORTANT.
Flame launch knights weapon, buff knight, warp knight, knight go pew pew with Bowling Bash on sleeper map, collect Great Nature (and all loot, I see you heathens leaving grit like its not worth zeny, for shame), break down Great Nature into Green Lives (Ore Downgrading Quest), Sell Green Lives. Profit.
There are a billion other guides that explain gear for Sleepers, how the money is made etc, so I'm not going to go further into this
CHAPTER TWO: LEVELING DOESN'T HAVE TO COMPLETELY SUCK NOW
Now you're starting to make some real zeny. Remember that class you put down that you wanted to play! Cool continue to ignore that class, use the zeny you've been hunting to make a merchant and leech that to 79.
Start joining ET as leech in AD runs and continue to hunt zeny to pay for leech until you can reborn into Creator.
CHAPTER THREE: OMG IM ABOUT TO ET WITH THE CAKES AND DESSERTS!!!!
Yay!! You've reborn! Cool! Now, continue to farm zenny from Sleepers until you can afford a leech from 1-79. It should be like 5mill (at the time of writing this guide)
At Base 79 you should have enough job levels to get FCP level 3 and some AD. THIS IS OKAY! DON'T WORRY TOO MUCH, THE CHAMP DIES ANYWAYS.
Now, bring supplies required by Amatsu Desserts and wear whatever basic gear you have, don't worry too much as anything that will really be dangerous (stares at Bee), you will be off screen for anyways! ^.^
AD, FCP, and Loot away.
CHAPTER FOUR: YOU NEVER TALKED ABOUT GEAR
Here's the secret.... gear for the Creator isn't as important as most of the other front line classes which means you can still go to ET with minimal gears and be effective.
BUT, let's talk about gear succession.
For ET you should start farming out zeny for Lord Kaho Horn's but, also invest in a bathory armor.
After the armor and LKH work on a Deviling and a Gargoyle Card (or Moonie's if you start becoming rish).
Supreme's however you like them, I like mine in Orleans Gloves cause I’m used to it from other servers.
Get a Platinum shield and buy a Excalibur eventually.
ENDTH THE LESSON INTO ET'ING AND GEARING AND FARMING FOR THE NEW AMATSU DESSERT GUILDIE
Game Master Challenge: High Priest
It’s just like Endless Tower, but harder.
I will not be repeating the things I said in the previous High Priest Guides so I will just be giving some general tips on How To GMC as a High Priest. So please, if you haven’t read them, you must.
If in Endless Tower, you know where it’s safe to stand and where it’s safe to stack, it’s hardly the case in GMCs as mobs teleport and come from everywhere. Being a High Priest in GMC basically means you have to be the most patient and also the most careful player. You should not let anyone die and you should not let yourself die.
Gear Switching
As we found out in the Endless Tower: Front HP guide, you need two kinds of footwear for instances: Eddga and General Egnigem Cenia. Put these two in your hotkeys and make sure you can easily press them. Wear GEC when you are buffing or supporting but quickly change to Eddga when you walking through mobs. This helps you save time as you will be walking with Endure through hits.
Another great item to hotkey is your shield. Generally, your GTB shield and your permanent shield would be interchanging all throughout. Make sure you wear GTB once you see a High Wizard Biolab mob so that you will not die. Quickly change to your other shield when in need to buff yourself or gulp down some juice. Another note is to wear GEC whilst wearing GTB so that you will still be able to regenerate your SP.
Armour switching is very crucial in GMC. Since mobs teleport, you might suddenly find yourself tanking a Bow Guardian out of nowhere. You cast Pneuma on yourself but you forgot to switch to RSX, you get knocked back and now the aggro is on the High Wizard, then on the Snipers, then everyone at the back is dead. You can easily prevent this from happening by putting your armours in your hotkeys. Also beneficial when you see a High Wizard Biolab mob - quickly change to your Marc armour to prevent getting Frozen.
This is something you really don’t need to do but I’ll note it here for you. I switch midgears from Mistress to Bacsojin when the Paladin is taking a lot of damage. This helps my Sanctuary and Heal increase making the Paladin feel more secure. However, keep in mind that you need Blue Gemstones for Resurrecting, casting Sanctuary and Safety Wall so make sure you switch back to Mistress when needed.
Know Where To Pneuma
Have you ever heard another HP say, “Don’t Pneuma near us” and found it odd? Well you shouldn’t find it odd as it is a valid concern. The point here is during stacking. When you Pneuma haphazardly, most of the time, someone in the Front line would have to move to your Pneuma as it does not cover everyone in the stack unlike the previous Pneuma. This can easily be avoided if you know where to Pneuma. Remember that Pneuma covers 3x3 cells so placing it on top of a character in between two others would be the best way to protect your stack.
Consumables
Always always always bring the following when going to GMCs:
Condensed White Potions or Meat
Grape Juice
Green Pots
(A few) Fly Wings
Yggdrasil Berry
I’m running out of things to say so if you have something you wanna see, hit me up.
Game Master Challenge: Steel Body Champion
Since every GMC differs greatly, this guide would merely serve as a general how-to. We’ll provide more specific ones in the future, so stay tuned!
Your Gears
Lord Kaho’s Horn
Odin’s Mask
Pussy Cat Bell
Lucius’ Fierce Armour of Volcano [RSX Card]
Aebecee’s Raging Typhoon Armour [RSX Card]
+10 Mace [Dracula Card x 4] or Suiken [Dracula x 3]
+7 Stone Buckler or Valkyrja’s Shield [Alice Card]
+7 Stone Buckler or +7 Strong Shield [Golden Thief Bug Card]
Any garment [Deviling Card] (Ideally +7)
Any shoes [Eddga Card]
Any shoes [General Egnigem Cenia Card]
Diablos Rings [Hell Poodle Cards]
Diablos Ring [Osiris Card]
Your Stats
97 Vitality
This helps you have a higher HP while also ensuring that you will be immune, or almost, to certain Negative Buffs like Stun, Blind, Poison, Curse, etc. Yes, if you want 100 Vitality, that’s fine, too. 97 is just the minimum.
130-140 Dexterity
This is without the Blessing buff and basically just helps you casts faster. It also helps the team when they get wiped and you are the only one left alive and you’re on Steel Body.
40 Strength
This helps you carry all your armours, your shields, and your consumables.
10 Intelligence
Having some Intelligence wouldn’t hurt as this provides you with more SP pool that drains quite quickly when casting your skills.
Your Skills
Dangerous Soul Collect
Critical Explosion
Steel Body
Body Relocation
Your Consumables
500 Meat
300 Grape Juice
100 Condensed White Potions
3 Green Pots
3 Yggdrasil Berries
15 Yggdrasil Leaves
Gameplay
Learn the map for that specific GMC to craft ways on how to go about it.
Do not lure too much. Know your limits and please never overestimate yourself.
Always ask for FCP. Check how many minutes left to make sure you will not be breaking armours.
Bring an extra Kaho and RSX. If you use Suiken, make sure you’re always on FCP or bring an extra one if you’re rich.
Do not move when the party starts hitting the mobs. If you wish to move, let them know before moving so the mobs won’t change targets.
Endless Tower: High Wizard
By Milk
The unsung damager and also the unsung support of every run, the High Wizard. While people view the High Wizard as simply there for crowd control and the occasional peeking of the MvP's HP, the High Wizard is actually more than that. You are more than that.
Your Gears
Lord Kaho’s Horn
Any Midgear Int+1 [Mistress Card]
Any Midgear Int+1 [Vesper Card or High Wizard Card] (Recommended but not a requirement)
Pussy Cat Bell (Recommended but not a requirement)
Rainbow Scarf or Cold Breath or Gentleman’s Pipe (Recommended but not a requirement)
Any armour [Marc Card]
Lucius’ Fierce Armour of Volcano [RSX Card or Agav Card]
Any staff that gives Dexterity and Intelligence is recommended such as, but not limited to, Dark Thorn Staff
Any shield [Medusa Card]
Any shield [Golden Thief Bug Card]
Any garment [Deviling Card]
Any shoes [Eddga Card]
Any shoes [General Egnigem Cenia Card]
Any accessory that gives Dexterity is recommended such as, but not limited to, Celebration Rings
Your Stats
Dexterity > Intelligence > Vitality or Strength
140 Dexterity
This is without the Blessing buff so with it, you will have Instant Cast. Having IC is really helpful in Endless Tower but if you cannot reach it, having a total of 145 Dexterity with the Blessing buff is bearable.
120 Intelligence
This is perhaps the minimum Intelligence you can have for a fair damage and okay SP pool. Also. having total Intelligence divisible by 10 (Base INT + Additional INT from gears and buffs) would yield well to your MATK.
Vitality
Putting points in Vitality would help your survivability greatly. Since a High Wizard transitions to a support role in the higher floors, it is great to have a higher HP pool.
Strength
Putting points in Strength would help you carry your extra gears and your consumables without being overweight. I strongly do not recommend going into any run as a High Wizard overweight.
Your Consumables
200 Grape Juice
5 Yggdrasil Leaves
50 Condensed White Potions (Recommended but not required)
10 Green Potions
15 Blue Gemstones*
15 Yellow Gemstones*
You can ask the Bio to hold those for you so you would not be overweight. Just make sure you take them before floor 95.
Your Main Skills
Storm Gust Level 10
Lord of Vermilion Level 10
Heaven’s Drive Level 5
Quagmire Level 5
Monster Property
Ganbantein
Safety Wall Level 10
Gameplay
Storm Gust is your best friend but is also sometimes the party's number one enemy. The main tip is to use Storm Gust if it will not freeze mobs and if it will kill them immediately.
Do not use Storm Gust in the Hydrolancer’s floor unless the whole party lets you. Use Quagmire instead and spam Jupitel Thunder on the Hydrolancer or spam Safety Wall on the Champion. Only use Storm Gust if the Champion dies as this will freeze the mobs, helping the party resurrect those who have fallen and regroup.
Be wary of your skills’ AOE range. When the Champ is not tanking the whole floor, make sure you Storm Gust the mobs that are already hitting the Champion so they will not attack you instead.
Using Amplify Magic Power is great but please do not use it when you only need to freeze the mobs. Great example is in floors with Lord Knight Seyren. You only need to freeze him so do not risk your partymates’ lives by casting Amplify Magic Power for half a second.
Game Master Challenge: The Creator
By Milk
So you’ve been playing Bio a whole lot in ET and you decided it’s time for a challenge...
GMC is basically a more dynamic and more intense version of Endless Tower. It’s more dynamic as even though you know which mobs are to spawn, you are not sure where they would spawn and how many of them would. It’s also more intense as it only allows a party to be in the instance for an hour and a half, much less than the four-hour time limit of Endless Tower.
The gears for Bio would be the same here as that in Endless Tower. However, your supplies need an upgrade:
2500 Grape Juice
2000 Meat
80 Yggdrasil Leaf
60 Green Potion
80 Awakening Potion
20 Yellow Gemstone
20 Blue Gemstone
100 Fly Wings
300 Acid Bottle*
300 Bottle Grenade*
50 Glistening Coats*
*Minimum
Don't worry, the Bloody Branch drops 100% of the time and it's all yours. It's worth around 1 500 000 so that acts as the reimbursement for supplies. Do note that some GMCs require more active throwing of bottles than others, notably in GMC Gemini, GMC Lance, and GMC Blacktalon so bring more than 300 would be very beneficial to your party.
Eul Nab Snipew Pew Pew Pew Tips
By Eul
First off, I’m not saying I’m a Pro, there are more Snipers that are better than me. This is just based on how I do things.
errr well sniper is kinda ez, basically u just stand at the right place and hit. but sometimes it’s not really about hitting… For me being a sniper running with a party, good judgement is needed. it’s how u decide what to do in different situation…
For gears ill try to divide it on 4.
1. The ” So-So” gears
youre just starting out.. or just a newbie sniper. Here’s a really really cheap set of gears for you
Upper : Lord Kaho’s Horn Middle : bloody knight card / eagle eye Lower : vajra / chewing bubble gem / pirate dagger Armor : Gloom armor / porcelio armor Weapon : Artemis bow 3TG / rental Ballista Garment : dragon tail garment / chung E card in overup hood Shoes : Footgear with GEC card. Accessory : bradium brooch sting
(kinda expensive if you’re just starting out, but yeah, if u don’t have at least this set of gears, I think you can’t really be the main damage dealer, which a Sniper should be)
2. The “it Will Do” gears
So, you already farmed some decent items at this point and youre probably somewhat experienced.
Upper : Lord Kaho’s Horn Middle : bloody knight card [agi] / gryphon [agi] / eagle eye Lower : vajra / chewing bubble gem / pirate dagger Armor : Gloom armor / porcelio armor / Marc Armor Weapon : Artemis bow 3TG Garment : dragon tail garment / chung E card in overup hood Shoes : Sleipnir GEC Accessory : Celebs
it will give you decent damage, its already enough if youre running with 3 snipers at the very least... you’re good enough. but yeah, for me it still lacks.
3. The MVPer
at this point, you are well geared and you already know how to be flexible. Means you do know what to wear, what to do, what to switch , What to aim, and Where to position.
Upper : Lord Kaho’s Horn / OVH [Gryph] / OVH [Valk] Middle : bloody knight card [agi] / gryphon [agi] / eagle eye Lower : vajra / chewing bebel gem / pirate dagger Armor : Gloom armor / porcelio armor / Marc Armor / Ktull armor Weapon : Artemis bow 3TG / Artemis bow 3AK shield: GTB Shield Garment : dragon tail garment / chung E card in overup garment / Roween Garment / Stem Worm / Magmaring card Shoes : Sleipnir GEC/Mysteltain/Moonlight Accessory : 2 Bristings / 2Brisfrit / 1 of each.
4. The Cannon Build You’re already Farking Rich, Go Figure it out.
Here are some good armors to put your cards in
Armor : Tights / Dragon Vest / Sniping suit / Fire Armor (Ktull) / Refined Tights / Drobe(why not?) Garment : Dragon Manteau / Skin Of Ventoss / Oxygen Bottle / NS Flame Manteu / Valk Manteau / wool scarf if youre using tidal shoes. Shoes : Alternatives; Bunny Slippers / Enhanced Variants / Aegir shoes / Diablos Boots / tidals if youre using wool scarf.
So that’s all there is to it... you probably askin “where are the farking tips”, “what should I do???” don’t worry, you will know all of it along the way. Don’t just randomly hit anything. Try to learn something everytime you run with a party. You will die a lot. But don’t worry, There’s always someone to res you. if not. Blame Eul.
Timed-Wave Challenge: Sniper
Hello guys, this is Yoshi and I’m here to make a guide for TWC as Sniper.
Basically, the sniper deals sustained AOE damage along with the asura champ (simultaneous and pinpoint burst) and high wizard (also sustained but slower, more AOE though). The sniper is the in-between class of damaging mobs. But to have this sustained damage, you must have the know-how on how elements work. Also, on when to use the pinpoint bursty skills – double strafing | and the AOE one – Sharpshooting. There are plenty of elements to keep in mind playing sniper. I’ll put all of it in the following texts, with miscellaneous items that you can use Arrow Crafting on. Learn to put all your arrows on the hotkeys and try to memorize the key corresponding to the element I’ll also put some corresponding mobs that you’re supposed to use it on.
Shadow (Arrow of Shadow) – Rune of the Darkness Anything that looks like an angel or priest looking (Cornus, False Angel, High Priest Magaleta)
Holy (Silver Arrow) – Zargons, Yellow Bijou Those who look evil and demonic lol also shadow mobs (Dark Illusion, Verits, Banshees, Dracula, Inca Samurai, LOD, Baphomet)
Fire (Fire Arrow) – Burning Heart, Red Blood Wood looking ones, plants, earth mobs (Mavkas, Sleepers, Turtle General, Orc Twins)
Water (Crystal Arrow) – Crystal Blue Fire looking mobs basically, anything that looks on fire, some mobs though aren’t looking on fire need crystal arrows (Thor mobs, General Egnigem, Heater – the fire turtle)
Stone (Stone Arrow) – Green Live Windy looking mobs/ Flying – winged mobs, but not limited to those with wings hehe (Harpy, White Lady, Blue Acidus, Anopheles, Beholders, Galion, Gargoyles, Grphon)
Ghost (Immaterial Arrow) – Yellow Bijou, Emperium, Valkyrie Flower – Expensive* don’t use too much, only if necessary Ghosts, Apparition-like mobs, Hallowed kinda looking (High Wiz Kathrinn, Gloom, Kraben – theyre like Japanese ghosty kids, Ghostring, Gloom Under Night, Plasma Yellow, Nightmares, All Thanatos Mobs)
Wind (Arrow of Wind) - Wind of Vendure Fishy ones, also ice mobs, water looking (Alligator, Sword Fish, Fishes all kinds, Strouf, Baba Yaga (hehe), Obeaune, Freezer – the ice turtle)
WHEN IN DOUBT, use FIRE ARROWS AND SILVER ARROWS.
So, there you go. These are some of the elements, not all, because poison is not used as far as I know using snipers.
Lastly, remember that TWC is like a training ground for some runs such as Endless Tower and GMC. The mobs at TWC spawn randomly, and the thing here is that every job class must adapt fast to clear and survive every wave. Don’t get too frustrated when you die too much or get wiped. It’s not good dying often and failing. But when we fail, we learn. As time and experience come by, you’ll eventually be good at doing such runs. I’m not good yet even haha so please never ever blame anyone of their misdoings.
If you're guna use sharpshoot, keep track of where you've designated wind arrows as theyre in wombo combo with High Wizard's freezing storm gust!
Timed-Wave Challenge: High Wizard
By Stella
Playing HW in Wave means getting ready for mobdrops right on your face.
It is your task to SG the mobs for crowd control, and let the Snipers clean up afterwards. Being a Wizard means getting familiar with what elements to cast on what monster, since it's totally random. JT-ing vital monsters is important, especially Byalan 6 mobs - they hurt a lot if left alone. If it looks like a fish, hit it with JT. Also, if you see a Byorgue, SG it immediately otherwise it will wreck your party.
Placing Quagmire before the monsters spawn will help control the clutter + the Ankle Snares from Snipers will keep the party safe at least for a while before rotating. Try to keep SG up as much as you can. It's also important to know when to switch armors and shields especially for MVP. There are MVPs in Wave that cast EQ which might wipe your party.
Timed-Wave Challenge: Asura Champ
By Stella
As an Asura champ, you are responsible for burst damage on mobs that are bothersome, or hurt a lot.
To name a few: Mora mobs (Angra Mantis, Miming, Pom Spider, etc.), Sword & Bow Guardian, or anything that takes a while to kill for Snipers & HW. Champs can also be useful for luring with body relocation. Take priority to kill the monster on HP, as having a dead HP means trouble.
It is almost required to have Osiris & Dracula weapon, as you're almost always Asura-ing stuff as long as it's off cooldown. Having no Osiris means having to chug GJs. Also, if possible, bring extra weapon as there are monsters in Wave that can destroy your weapon (and armors). An Asura Champ with only a Dracula mace and a broken Suiken means having to die at a lot slower rate because you can't switch between weapons easily. Also, as much as possible, please try to die near the HP.
Having a high STR gives you plenty of space to carry supplies, you can carry GJs for your party members, and extra armors (if you don't want to spend points for repairman), like a pocket Bio. It's also recommended to bring more Green Pots as you have to get close to MVPs a lot, which means they'll punish you with whatever status effects that they can do. Poor HP would have to run to you to cure you if you didn't bring GP. Please think about the HP. :<
Timed-Wave Challenge
By Stella
Wave Challenge is a PvM event that requires minimum of 5 people in the party to join. The party must clear random set of monsters (includes MVP) every wave. As you get to higher waves, the quantity and the difficulty of the monsters will increase.
Clearing a wave will give the party points that will be divided amongst the number of people in the party. There are two modes to Wave Challenge, timed and untimed. Timed gives you a maximum of 1 hour to reach the highest wave that the party can (or until wipe), Untimed mode ends only when the party is wiped. The points earned are game account bound, meaning that if you have both HP and Sniper in one account, you can use them both and not have to worry about your points being scattered. The points earned can be used to buy Wave Costume Box (17,500 points) or Analyze Eye Costume (account bound) (75,000 points). So, yay! Costumes Aside from that, the points earned while inside the Wave Challenge can be used to hire Repairman (875 points) and Kafra (1,000 points); and in case a party member has disconnected, said party member can use up points to warp back (it's not a lot, don't worry). The gameplay tips below are just from my experience, there's no set right or wrong way to play the Wave Challenge. This is just what I have found to be most efficient
So what job can you bring to Wave Challenge? Anything, really. It all depends on your party members. But for 5 people party, the general recommendation is: 1 Asura, 1 High Wizard, 1 HP, and 2 Snipers. But really, anything goes. You can even enter full 12 man party :yaaay:
As for the vital supplies, for small party that's running 1 HP, I would recommend all members except for HP to bring 10 Yggdrasil Leaf and 15 Green Pots. Make sure to lessen the burden of your HP by getting enough supplies because keeping 5 people alive (including himself/herself) and buffing them while moving around is hardwork. You can also bring around 75 Fly Wings for emergency, you can TP around the map if it gets too dangerous.
Waves 1-4 > scatter and move around map to clear the mobs. Wave 5 > move to 7 o' clock (lower left o' clock for Goyu) after every wave. Wave 7 > Snipers can start using Ankle Snare for crowd control once the monsters spawn.
From 7 o' clock, the general rotation would be > someone luring mid monsters > clear > then clear monsters from 7 o' clock in clockwise direction.
