the peach mutation of golden pheasants genuinely leaves me breathless sometimes like. everything about them is so pleasing. though breeding specifically for colors it isnāt usually good thereās no denying how gorgeous they are

Hey! Iām still struggling a bit to keep up with Tarot Tuesday at the moment, but I was still able to get this done before the end of the week, which is good. Todayās card is the Four of Swords!
This card represents a stability of the mind, a state of calm readiness that is reached through a rational acceptance of oneās surroundings. The traditional image is of a knightās tomb (which you might look at as a morbid reminder of what a sword can do) surrounded by swords - I guess the implicit meaning is a period of rest, or calm, but thereās something I donāt like about the image so I went for something a bit different. If you wanted I guess you could make the argument that only one sword is visible, that the others are afterimages, but as an animator (and a fan of smears and multiples) Iām fine with it.
I knowĀ āsword catchingā is a bit of a tired trope (I think even mythbusters did a segment on it - proving with reasonable conclusiveness that it was pretty impossible) but I still find the idea of it pretty striking. They make a fun game out of it in Rhythm Heaven on the 3ds, too.Ā
