'OLD SCARS'
gif belongs to me
Tommy met you in college. The first time he saw you, you were sitting on the grass as you made last-minute adjustments to an assignment that was due to be handed in within the hour. He was walking with Hayley who called out to you, and you lifted your head, a slight furrow in your brow which relaxed when you saw Hayley, smiling as you sent her a wave.
Hayley walked towards you, and Tommy trailed behind, holding the strap of his bag tighter when Hayley introduced him.
Your smile was warm as you cleared space on the blanket you were sitting on, allowing them to join you. "Beautiful day, isn't it?"
"Yeah, it is." Tommy placed his backpack beside him as he sat down. "What are you working on?"
"A five page essay that's ruining my life." You smiled softly, your gazes locked for a moment before you turned to Hayley. "Can you check it, please? I've read it four times, and I'm not absorbing anything at this point."
Hayley laughed lightly, nodding, "Sure."
You thanked her as she took the stapled papers, and when you turned to find your water bottle, she noticed how Tommy's eyes had yet to look away from you. With a slight smile, she began to read the essay, and you looked around for a water fountain.
"Hey, you guys didn't happen to find a water fountain on your travels, did you? I've been here for two months and still get lost." You smiled sheepishly.
"Yeah, I saw one. I'll walk with you." Tommy stood up, and Hayley lifted her head to watch you walk away.
Tommy immediately struck up a conversation about your studies, and you explained that you met Hayley in the library one afternoon and became fast friends.
"She's a lover of all things digital while I'm more fond of paper." You smiled, looking up at him. "I typed the essay on my laptop, and I could see how proud she was."
Tommy chuckled.
"Don't tell her I wrote it on paper first."
Tommy promised that he wouldn't.
He was so distracted by you that he almost walked by the water fountain.
You stepped forward to fill up your bottle and thanked the Red Ranger for accompanying you.
"I switched colleges to be closer to home." You explained as you both headed back towards Hayley. "I did consider coming here, but I wanted to go out of state. Change of scenery and all that."
"Why did you switch?"
"My grandfather died."
"I'm sorry." Tommy frowned.
You sent him a small smile, thanking him. Many people often gave condolences, but you knew he was sincere. "It's just me and my mom now, and I wanted to be closer to her. She said she was okay, but she's not the type to ask something like that."
"Do you miss it? Your old college?" He asked.
"Sometimes. I still talk to a few friends I made there. But I like the professors here. Except the one that gave me the essay."
Tommy chuckled as you walked on the grass, sending Hayley a smile as you placed your water bottle in your backpack.
"I'm impressed." She said, handing you the essay, "I'll make a digital goddess of you yet."
Tommy rolled his lips to hide his amused smile, meeting your gaze when you glanced at him.
You picked up your backpack and carried it on your shoulder. "I need to get this across campus. But I'll see you guys later?"
"Definitely." Hayley agreed, standing up to help fold the blanket. She turned to Tommy when you said goodbye and walked away, her smile growing when she saw he was unable to tear his eyes away from you. "So..."
His brow furrowed as he turned his head, meeting her gaze. "What?"
"You like her!" She grinned, holding his arm as she walked in the opposite direction of you, pulling him along.
"Yeah, she's great."
Hayley shook her head, "You think she's pretty..." She sang, trailing off with a giggle.
Tommy shook his head. "I'm not looking for anything right now."
He had confided in Hayley about his last relationship. He still kept Kimberly's letter, and after reading it, Hayley understood why he was hesitant to enter a new relationship. But she knew he needed a little nudge to put his heart back out there.
"You are too good of a man to be single forever."
Tommy was thankful when she dropped the subject.
The second time he saw you, he was searching the library for a book to reference in an assignment. You were sitting on the ground between bookcases with a pencil in your ponytail as you searched your backpack.
"Hey," He whispered, and your head snapped up, a smile forming on your lips that took his breath away. "Lost something?"
"My pencil. I had it a minute ago."
An amused smile formed on his lips as he pointed to his hair, and your brow furrowed as you reached above your head, smiling sheepishly when you took the pencil from your ponytail.
"Thank you."
"Anytime." He smiled, adjusting the strap of his backpack on his shoulder.
"What brings you to my little neck of the books?" You asked, exchanging 'woods' from the phrase causing him to chuckle.
Tommy told you about his latest assignment, and you thought for a moment before standing up, carrying the book and your backpack as you led him through the library. His eyes took in your features as you searched the bookcase before taking a book. He snapped out of his trance as you approached him with a smile.
"There you go."
"Thanks."
"I know. I spend too much time here." You walked away, and his feet immediately forced him to follow.
"There are worse places to spend your time."
You smiled softly, "Hayley says all the dust isn't good for my lungs. But she also says it's easy to find me if she wants to."
After checking out the books, you left the library together and learned about his past in Angel Grove. He told you about his friends from high school, and you realized that you had met one of them. Adam.
Tommy checked his watch, and seeing the time, he asked if you wanted to join him for lunch. You agreed with a smile, and he mirrored it, leading the way.
The first thing he noticed about you was your beauty. The second was your warmth. The third was how easy it was to talk to you about anything and everything.
When Hayley found out that he had eaten lunch with you, he knew from her grin that she had gotten the wrong idea.
"It wasn't a date."
"Uh-huh."
Tommy shook his head, "It wasn't."
"The two of you eating together, gazing across the bench...yeah, it wasn't a date."
He named Kimberly when he discussed his life in high school but didn't call her his ex-girlfriend. She was just a friend whom he lost touch with, but after learning the truth Hayley understood his hesitancy to enter a new relationship despite the many girls who asked him on a date.
"It wasn't!"
Hayley turned to him with a sigh. "I'm messing with you. Even if you did like her, she would be the last to know. She's oblivious to everything that doesn't happen in a book."
Tommy didn't see you for three days. He went to the library, telling himself he should read more, and shut down the excitement that came when he thought of seeing you again. But he couldn't deny he was disappointed not to see you around.
He saw you on the fourth day, carrying a stack of books in your arms that covered your vision and jogged over, leaving his friends to catch the tipping tower before it fell. He removed some of the books, and smiled when your eyes met. And the hammering of his heart was too loud to ignore.
"Thank you!" You sighed. "The librarian threatened to ban me from the library if I didn't return the books I checked out."
"You read all of these?" He raised an eyebrow.
You nodded, "Most of them are for classes. I've been trying to read for fun more."
Tommy looked over his shoulder when Adam called out to you, seeing his team approaching. You sent the raven haired boy a smile.
Tommy introduced you to Tanya, Katherine, and Rocky.
"It's nice to meet all of you." You smiled softly, glancing at Tommy.
"I'll help you carry these to the library."
It was less of an offer, and it was more like him stating that he would. There was no way you could make the trip yourself. You were surprised the tower hadn't fallen more on the walk through campus.
"You don't have to." You assured him.
"I want to." Tommy sent you a smile that made your cheeks warm, and you hoped the blush was not noticeable.
You said goodbye to his friends and fell into step beside Tommy as he led the way to the library. He took more books from your stack, and when you tried to take some back, he side stepped out of reach, chuckling when you attempted to appear stern.
"I haven't seen you around in a while." He commented.
A sad smile formed on your lips, and he frowned at the sight, feeling as if he had stolen the light you carried around.
"I went home for a few days." You explained. "I was talking to my mom one night, and I could tell she had been crying. She had taken time off work to finalise the sale of her parents' house. It brought up a lot of memories."
"How is she?" He asked.
"Better now." You sent him a small smile. "We looked through old pictures and family videos...ate a lot of ice cream."
Tommy smiled softly, "And how are you?"
You turned your head to meet his gaze, tilting in confusion. And he wondered if he was the first to ask how you were coping with the loss of your grandfather and balancing college with worrying about your mother, leaving little time for yourself.
"You lost someone too. And you moved back into the state, leaving friends behind." He said.
You sighed, "I'm okay."
Even you didn't believe it.
"Classes have been keeping me busy. And if I have my mind on a book, I can block out everything else."
Tommy nodded in understanding. Reading a book was your way of escaping the stresses of everyday life.
"If you ever want to talk," He cleared his throat, "I want you to know that you can talk to me. Anytime."
You sent him a smile, "Thanks, Tommy."
When you arrived at the library, you both placed the books down, and while the librarian checked each book off her list, you relieved your shoulders of your backpack, opening it to reveal more books inside.
Tommy shook his head, amused by the number of books you had read in one month, and wished he'd noticed your backpack that looked heavy.
"Thanks. I feel bad for taking you away from your friends."
You sent him a sheepish smile when he helped lift the backpack onto the desk.
Tommy shook his head, "I see them everyday. And besides, I missed you."
You smiled softly, "I missed you too."
The librarian set the books aside, "Well, everything appears to be here."
"So I can check out more, right?"
She nodded, "Until the next time."
You grinned as you walked away, and Tommy smiled as he followed, shaking his head, knowing there would definitely be a next time.
He matched your pace and tried to quieten the voice inside him telling him to muster up the courage to ask -
"Hey, wanna grab lunch together?"
Tommy exhaled, slowly nodding. "I'd love to."
"We need lots of protein after that workout."
Laughter jolted his shoulders, and you smiled at the Red Ranger when he nodded in agreement.
As you sat on a bench beside him a short while later, Tommy concluded that it wasn't so daunting or so inconceivable that he could start over. That Hayley was right.
He and Kimberly had drifted apart, but it seemed like the universe was doing everything in its power to draw you together. And Tommy knew he couldn't ignore it forever. Being with you, surrounded by the light you brought wherever you went, healed his old scars without even knowing it.
'TRAINING RED'

It wasn't uncommon for you to be outside training in the middle of the night. The training course was a perfect way to clear your head, and burn off leftover adrenaline after an exciting day.
After the team voted him unfit to be Red Ranger, Cruger stripped him of his Red Ranger status, and Jack realized that he had become power-hungry, using cadets to get him food and do his laundry. When the team fought without him, unable to form a Megazord, Jack knew he had to become the leader they needed and was relieved when Cruger gave him a second chance.
He asked around the base and knew where to find you - the best person to help him become the Ranger he needed to be. You were known for being one of the greatest cadets to ever come from the academy. You could recite every rule and every law word for word and hold the record times for simulation training and completing the obstacle course.
If there was anyone who could help him, it was you.
"Uh, hi."
You turned, surprised to see Jack scratching the back of his neck. "Hi."
"The word around here is that you are the best."
You sent him a small smile, "I heard what happened today. Congratulations."
"Thanks. It was a team effort. I'm just grateful that they let me back on the team. I don't know if you heard, but I got a little power crazy."
"I heard."
"I was hoping I could train with you. Or maybe give me a few pointers. I want to be worthy of being the Red Ranger."
You smiled, nodding, "Sure."
"Thanks." He smiled, following you to the beginning of the obstacle course. "Do you often train this late?"
You turned, "We can wait until morning."
Jack shook his head, "No, I was just wondering why you're out here."
"Oh, I train to keep my mind off things. It gives me some distance to see things more clearly. Plus, it isn't as crowded."
That night, he asked you dozens of questions about Space Patrol Delta, and you told him things you had learned during cadet training. You learned about his past with Z before they became Rangers while you both stretched and warmed up.
Jack held his ribs as he lay on his back, looking over at you with a smile when he heard your laughter for the first time. You placed your hands on your hips as he sat up, resting his arms on his bended knees.
"Thanks for doing this."
"Well, it's not everyday that the Red Ranger asks for my help."
Jack chuckled.
"Ready to tackle the course?"
"Let's do it."
His enthusiasm wore off during his third attempt around the course, and when he slipped into the mud, you tried to help, falling beside him. Jack lost a few minutes due to laughing at the sight of you covered in mud from head to toe as he was.
Jack offered you his hand as you climbed out of the mud, and when he pulled you free, you collided with his chest. He placed his hands on your arms to steady you, planting his feet to avoid falling over. As he looked down at you, he felt something shift between you and not for the first time that night. Even when caked in mud, you looked beautiful.
"Thank you." You smiled bashfully, glancing at his dirty red S.P.D shirt before meeting his gaze.
Jack blinked out of his daze, "No problem."
"Although it was kind of your fault."
"Hey!" He chuckled as you stepped away, slowly removing his hands from your arms.
You cleaned your stopwatch with your finger and grinned when it was still working. "Okay, this was worse than your first attempt."
"Back to the beginning?"
"Let's do it." You mimicked his earlier enthusiasm, making him chuckle.
On the fourth lap of the course, the sun was starting to rise, and you saw a great improvement and how quickly he learned from his previous mistakes. You watched as Jack climbed the final log staircase and stopped the timer. He shook the dirt off his hands and turned to find you grinning.
"New record!"
Jack grinned, catching you both by surprise when he picked you up and spun you around. You met his gaze as your feet touched the ground and placed your hands on his arms, congratulating him with a smile.
"Thank you. I couldn't have done it without you."
You opened your mouth to argue that he could, but Jack shook his head.
"Seriously. I would've given up after the first lap."
After spending nearly five hours outside training with you, one of the first things he noticed about you was that you were quick to dismiss any compliments with a bashful smile.
"For someone who didn't go through the academy, you'll make a fine Red Ranger."
It was his turn to be bashful. "You think so?"
"I know so." You sent him a warm smile.
Jack mirrored it, wetting his lips as he glanced away briefly. "Mind if we make this a regular thing?"
You shook your head, "Same time tonight?"
"I'll be here."
You smiled softly as you walked away together and gasped when he took off running.
"The last one there has to do a hundred push-ups!" He called over his shoulder. You shook your head, a giggle leaving your lips as you chased after him.
You caught up to the Red Ranger, and he chuckled when you overtook him, calling over your shoulder, "Sorry, Red!"
Jack caught up to you by the doors, and you smiled as you headed inside, navigating the hallways to the dorm rooms. Your room was on the opposite hall from his, and despite the pain in his muscles, Jack was looking forward to doing it all over again tonight.
"Goodnight, Red."
"Night."
You sent him one last smile before walking away, and Jack watched you go for a moment before putting his hands in the pockets of his black sweatpants, and turning around to go in the opposite direction to his room.
'STASIS'
gif belongs to me
There were still many rooms the four Rangers had yet to explore on the Astro Megaship. Carlos and T.J. stumbled upon a heavily warded door by accident and after trying and failing to open the locks, the two Rangers walked away, more curious than ever to know what was inside the room.
Andros was walking down the hallway to the bridge with Zhane when Carlos called out to him, and the Red and Silver Rangers approached the two. Zhane rested his hands on his hips as he listened to Carlos and T.J. tell them about their discovery, glancing at Andros when he realized what room they had found and noticed his body tensing.
"It's empty." Andros walked away, entering the bridge.
"Seems like a lot of security for an empty room." Carlos looked at Zhane, seeing the grave expression he wore.
"It's best if you stay out of there."
"What's in it?" T.J. asked.
Zhane sighed, crossing his arms. "Before the destruction of our planet...Andros was engaged."
"Was?" Carlos echoed.
Zhane nodded, "She was hurt during their escape, and Andros carried her on board the ship. The stasis pod was the only way to keep her safe until he found a planet that was safe enough for her."
"Why doesn't he wake her up?" T.J. asked. "Was she a Ranger?"
Zhane shook his head. "The stasis pod is keeping her preserved. Take her out, and she could die. She wasn't a Ranger," he paused, a smile on his lips as he recalled you betting that you could spar him to the ground. "I wish she was. Andros taught her how to defend herself. After Karone...he was always afraid to lose anyone else."
Zhane had seen Andros in the middle of the night when he believed everyone was asleep, or sneaking away unnoticed by the others, to talk to you through the stasis pod. It was a one-sided conversation, but the Red Ranger always kept you informed of his adventures, and when Zhane woke up, Andros explained his reasons for keeping you asleep.
He was still searching for a planet safe enough to live on but was afraid to wake you up due to the injuries you suffered during your escape from K0-35. The Red Ranger had lost a lot during his short life, but being the last of the people who had seen you both together, the day you got engaged, Zhane knew losing you would break Andros's spirit completely.
A few weeks later, after the Rangers learned Andro's secret, Ecliptor attacked the Astro Megaship while the six Rangers fought off Batarax and Quantrons. They were overwhelmed trying to fend them off, and Ecliptor fired at the ship hovering over the planet.
Andros watched the lasers light up the sky and tried to summon his board and speak to Alpha, but the Astro Megaship wasn't responding.
"He's going to destroy the ship!" Zhane rushed to his side, watching the lasers.
The two were knocked aside by Batarax, and as he looked at the lasers intent on blowing up the ship that was losing shield power, Andros knew he had to think of something before you were destroyed forever.
There was a series of beeps before the stasis pod opened, and you took a deep breath as you looked around, slowly sitting up. Your eyebrows furrowed as you climbed out of the pod and looked around the empty room, finding the door was bent and falling to the side.
Another laser hit the ship, causing you to stumble, and you leaned against the wall, bracing for another.
"Andros."
You pushed the door aside and crawled underneath. There was smoke in the hallway, and the lights were flashing. You decided to follow the hallway and after a few minutes, you reached the bridge. Alpha was trying to contact the Rangers as another explosion rocked the ship, and you stared at the robot, tilting your head.
"Where is Andros?"
Alpha turned, "Ooh, you're awake!"
"Where is Andros?" You repeated impatiently, approaching the babbling robot.
"He is fighting Batarax with the other Rangers." Alpha managed to get the screen working long enough to show you Andros and Zhane fighting together against Batarax while the other Rangers fended off Quantrons.
An explosion shook the ship, and you held onto the panel to avoid falling.
"We need to move before we're blown apart." You looked around the panels, recognising some of the controls, and began to steer the ship out of the way, avoiding the lasers.
You descended onto the planet, flying over the army of Quantrons, and the lasers followed you, hitting the army instead.
"Can you reach the Rangers?" You asked.
Alpha walked over to a panel on the wall, and you tilted the ship, narrowly missing a laser that hit Batarax instead, destroying him.
Andros and Zhane ducked out of the way but were blown backwards by the blast. "I didn't know Alpha could fly like that." The blond rolled onto his back, watching as the ship left the planet, followed by a series of lasers that narrowly missed hitting the ship.
The Astro Megaship was chased by the lasers as it returned to the planet and the Rangers ducked for cover as the ship flew above the Quantrons, the lasers taking out the remainder of the Quantron army before disappearing again.
"Rangers, come in."
"Alpha!" Carlos grinned.
Batarax returned, larger than before, and the six Rangers called upon the Megazord to defeat the monster for the last time. As the Rangers celebrated their victory, the Megaship landed on the barren planet, and several minutes later the ramp lowered.
"Alpha?" Ashley called out as they walked towards the ship.
Andros halted in his steps when he saw you running down the ramp. Zhane grinned when he saw you were awake, and appeared to be in great health.
"Andros!"
Your voice propelled him forwards and you jumped into his embrace, burying your head in the crook of his neck. Andros held you tightly, as the Rangers kept their distance, and pulled away moments later to check you over.
"Take it easy -"
You dismissed his concern with a shake of your head, "I'm fine. Thanks to you." A tear fell down your cheek when you saw his watery smile, and he placed his hand on your cheek, resting his forehead against yours.
When you pulled away, you noticed Zhane and smiled at the blond as he approached, his boots crunching the gravel beneath his feet. "Great flyin'!"
You smiled against his shoulder as he wrapped his arms around you. When you stepped away, you stood next to Andros and he took your hand with a smile, introducing you to his team.
"I can see the galaxy is in good hands."
You rested your left hand on his arm as you entered the ship, and he placed a hand over yours, his thumb toying with your engagement ring.
"It will need a lot of repairs," T.J. commented as the Rangers walked through the halls, seeing the extent of the damage.
"The warship fled, but it won't be the last we see of it." You looked at your fiancée when he turned his head, agreeing with your prediction. "Andros..." You stopped walking and the rest of his team went to check on Alpha while you remained in the hallway. "How long was I in the stasis pod?"
Andros swallowed thickly, glancing at the ground and you knew it had been a long time, more than most people were kept in stasis. "Two years. I wanted to find a safer planet. When the wall collapsed and you got injured..."
"You were afraid to wake me up."
Andros nodded, looking at the ground. You frowned at the thought of him being alone before he met his team and stepped forward, placing your left hand on his cheek. He closed his eyes when he felt the chill of the engagement ring on his skin.
"I didn't want to lose you. Sometimes, it felt like I already did." He admitted.
You sent him a smile when your eyes met, "I'm here." You placed your right hand on his chest and he covered your hand with his hand, squeezing gently. "You saved me."
"I love you."
"I love you too." You closed your eyes when he wrapped his arms around you, returning the tight embrace as you let a few tears fall.
"It feels so good to hear that again." He murmured.
"You'll be hearing it a lot." You pulled back with a smirk and he chuckled, placing a hand on your cheek. "You might get tired of it."
Andros shook his head, "That's impossible."
He brought you closer and you tilted your head upward as he leaned down, closing your eyes as your lips met tenderly, slowly becoming more passionate. A tear fell down his cheek at the feeling of you in his arms again after believing he would never get the chance to. You wiped it away with your thumb as you pulled away, sending him a warm smile and reflecting the love in his eyes back to him.
You had been kept in stasis for two years, and there would be a lot to catch up on, but at that moment all that mattered was that you were finally where you belonged again - with Andros.
'NO PLACE LIKE HOME'

R/C - Ranger color
You were getting out of the car, popping the trunk to fetch the groceries when you were taken. Rocky heard the car pull up and walked outside to help, running towards you when he saw you were unconscious and being carried to a portal, his hands reaching out only to feel the air once the portal closed.
It felt like he was eighteen again, a crushing weight hurdling towards his chest because he was concerned for your safety. You hadn't been an active Ranger for a long time ever since you started building your family that was waiting inside, wondering where you were. And Rocky knew he had to find out where that portal led to.
He took out his cell phone and called Tommy, and after it went to voicemail, he called Kat who revealed Tommy was also missing. The sinking feeling in his gut grew stronger, experience telling him that it wasn't a coincidence that two Rangers had been taken. Rocky called around, checking in with everyone and the list of missing Rangers grew.
He sighed as he ended his call with Jayden who informed him that Antonio had disappeared and looked at your children eating lunch at the dining table. Your youngest happily ate her sandwiches while your eldest listened in to his calls and barely touched his lunch.
Rocky contacted your parents who lived nearby. After saying goodbye, he approached the dining table and leaned on the back of a chair as he sighed.
"I've called your grandparents, and they'll be here in ten minutes." He explained, "I'm going to meet with a few other Rangers to gather more information about what we're dealing with, and why so many Rangers are being taken."
"Do you think she's okay?" Your eldest asked.
Rocky sent him a small smile, nodding, "I know your mom, and she will be itching to get back to you guys. Do you know why I call her Mama Bear? Because she's fierce and she's strong. And nothing will make her fight harder than reuniting with family."
Your eldest nodded but Rocky knew he wouldn't be entirely convinced until you were back home and he could see you were safe with his own eyes - they were alike in that respect.
Your youngest squealed and clapped her hands, shouting, "Mama!"
Rocky smiled fondly as he walked over to lift her into his arms, kissing her head, "Mama will be home soon." He glanced around the table, meeting the gaze of all your children, "I promise."
The doorbell rang and Rocky let your parents inside while informing them of your disappearance and assured your mother that he would do everything he could to bring you back. Having seen how much he loved you, just with a single glance or a smile, she knew he would. He'd done it before, after all.
"Don't worry about the kids, we'll keep an eye on them. Just bring her home." Your father placed an arm around your mother when she teared up and sent Rocky a nod before he left.
Wes reached out to him as he drove to the rendezvous point, telling him everything he had learned about Lord Draven and his plans to weaken the dimensional barrier to invade dimensions. The more Rocky learned; the weight grew heavier on his chest as he thought of you.
The fortress was intimidating, and despite the strength in their numbers, the uneasy feeling didn't go away as Rocky feared what they would find - dreading the possibility of finding that you were put under mind control and having to fight against each other.
Basherbots ambushed the group of Rangers on the bridge and Rocky knew there were more waiting inside. As he moved his feet shoulder-width apart, his right foot took one big step forward and bent the knee while keeping his left leg straight, clenching his fists, the other Rangers mimicking his movements, preparing to fight when an invisible force took out the Basherbots at both sides of the bridge before rushing towards them. Rocky had never been so relieved to see Tommy before.
He stepped forward while Tommy explained that the other Rangers were kept in the dungeon, and he had broken the computer that created robotic Rangers before he escaped.
"Y/N...is she..." Rocky swallowed the gravel in his throat when Tommy nodded. He stood straighter, steeling his expression as he pushed down his concern and prepared to storm the fortress.
There was no way he was leaving without you.
Rocky fired at the computers alongside Wes and helped fight the Basherbots that rushed toward the group as he crossed the room to where you were starting to sit up.
You met his gaze with a smile, sliding off the table and wrapping your arms around his neck.
"Are you okay?"
You nodded, "I couldn't feel anything." You pulled back slightly to meet his gaze, "The kids?"
"Your parents are watching them." He smiled softly, placing a hand on your arm, squeezing gently.
"What exactly are we dealing with?" You asked while standing beside him as you both looked at the other Rangers.
"Lord Draven is tearing down dimensional barriers so he can invade with his robotic Ranger clones," Wes explained.
"Lord Draven. There's a name I wish I could forget." Gia said.
"We need to hurry, there will be more," Tommy warned.
It wasn't the first time you had fought against a clone of your Ranger self. Master Vile had used a clone to try and trick the team and destroy the command center. But Rocky knew something was off the second he saw the clone. It was small, but it gave the team the upper hand. You always greeted him with a kiss and looped your arm with his. The clone didn't know this detail, and when Rocky communicated with you through the comms while he had eyes on your clone, his theory was proven correct.
You kept your distance, letting the team figure out what Master Vile's plan was before helping them stop it. You knew all of your powers and how to defeat the clone while everyone fought the monster who had been sent to attack the power plant.
You appeared next to your husband, behind the Ninja Steel Rangers, seeing the size of Lord Draven's army for the first time, and while it was easy to be intimidated, you were not eighteen anymore, and you had a family waiting for you at home. There was nothing that could stop you from seeing them again.
When the army was destroyed and Tommy defeated Draven, you stared up at the cracks in the sky, removing your suit as you watched them fade away. You looked at your husband when he placed his arm around you, resting a hand on his chest with a smile.
"Not bad, Red."
"Lookin' good as always, R/C."
You giggled as you leaned into him, feeling his lips against your head. A small smile formed on your lips as the Ninja Steel Rangers thanked the veterans for their help and Rocky told them they could handle anything Odius threw at them.
"As long as you do it together." Antonio chimed in with a smile.
You moved your hand from his chest to his arm, taking his hand as you said your goodbyes. You approached the portal Wes opened with a sigh.
"I can't wait to go home."
Rocky chuckled, putting his arm around your shoulder, "Me neither."
It was a long drive home and Rocky called ahead, letting your parents know you were on your way home. When she hung up she went to the living room where her husband and your kids were sitting and told them the news, which immediately caused their expressions to brighten.
Rocky reached for your hand after parking the car in the driveway several hours later, and you sent him a smile when he kissed the back of your hand.
"Before I was taken," You began, covering your joined hands with your left hand. "I saw you running to save me."
"I'll always come for you." He squeezed your hand with a smile and you leaned across, wrapping your arms around his neck. Rocky kissed your head as he returned the embrace, resting his head in the crook of your neck as he closed his eyes.
"I love you." You murmured as you turned your head to kiss his cheek.
"I love you too."
You heard your older children calling for you and pulled back to see them running off the porch and quickly got out of the truck, smiling as they collided with you, almost sending you tumbling to the ground as you wrapped your arms around them. Rocky climbed out of the truck as he watched the moment with a smile, turning his head to look at the porch to find your parents standing together, your mother holding your youngest in her arms.
Your father sent him a nod, and he returned it. So much could be communicated with a small motion. It was his way of saying thank you for bringing you home and showing how much he respected him.
You kept your arms around your children while following your parents into the house. You looked back at your husband as he closed the door as you answered their questions about the battle.
"It was nice seeing everyone again. Although I don't remember it hurting as much."
Rocky held his shoulder, rolling it with a chuckle. "Me neither."
You walked to your husband with a smile, placing your arms around his waist. "Come on, I'll run a bath later."
Rocky wrapped his arms around you, leaning down to kiss you for a moment, pulling away before leaving a few pecks on your lips making you smile.
That night you and Rocky answered questions about the battle over the dinner your mother had kept warm for you both. Afterwards, your parents went home, and your kids were safely tucked into their beds.
You climbed into bed beside Rocky and cuddled into his side, resting your head on his chest as he wrapped his arms around you, leaving a kiss on your temple.
There was no place like home.
'GIVE AND TAKE'

You had listened to Sky's declarations that he would be a great Red Ranger and endured many, many, speeches in which he ranted about his day with his new team leader and you had nodded along, knowing he needed a place to vent his frustrations to avoid taking it out on the other Rangers.
While Sky had warmed up to Jack in the few months they had been working together, the two still had their disagreements and you would let him pace a hole in the floor as he told you about it.
One day, however, you couldn't endure it because you were dealing with problems of your own and wishing he paid enough attention to see that you needed someone to talk to. But every time you tried he would keep talking and your frustration finally boiled over.
"He is the Red Ranger! Accept that you didn't make the cut because of how arrogant and oblivious you are to other people's feelings!"
Sky was surprised by your outburst but quickly recovered, the silver on his tongue cut deeper that day, and you left the room he shared with Bridge, hiding your tears.
The Blue Ranger was smart enough to know that approaching you would only lead to another argument and waited for you to cool down, but as time ticked away and he hadn't heard or seen you in three days, Sky began to worry that maybe he had missed something.
His solemn mood began to affect his ability in the field and Jack knew that he had to step in before someone got injured. He knew you were actively avoiding Sky after Syd told him about the fight and decided to catch you off guard.
You walked out of the training simulator and Jack stepped off the wall, causing you to spin on your heels, raising an eyebrow at the Red Ranger. Your expression shifted when you saw the look in his eyes.
"What is it? What happened?"
"It's Sky." He sighed. Jack had an hour to think of a lie that sounded remotely believable and when you asked where your boyfriend was, he knew you did.
When Jack told you where to find Sky, you immediately set off to find your boyfriend and expected to find him resting due to injury but instead found him doing push-ups on the ground. Sky got to his feet when the door opened, surprised to see you standing in the doorway.
"Is this some kind of joke? Because it isn't funny."
"What?" His brow furrowed when he saw the tears in your eyes.
"You -" You turned away and Sky quickly placed himself in front of the door and you glared at the Blue Ranger who held his hands up.
"You need to fill in the blanks for me." He said, lowering his hands. "You burst in here after dodging me for three days and I can't tell if you are going to kick my ass or smother me with hugs."
You stepped back and a sigh left his lips as he watched you walk to sit on the edge of his bed. "Jack told me you were wounded in the field. Confined to a bed."
You looked at your boyfriend when he didn't speak and when you raised an eyebrow he blinked out of his thoughts. "I didn't know you cared."
"Of course, I care." You crossed your arms, lowering them with a sigh when you knew how defensive it appeared. "I didn't mean to bite your head off. It's just..." You looked at your hands and Sky frowned as he moved to sit beside you. "I'm sick and tired of being a cadet. You're out there where the action is and hearing you complain, just made me explode. It had less to do with you, and more about how I felt."
Sky nodded slowly, "So...you don't think I'm arrogant?"
You turned your head to meet his gaze, feeling your lips twitch upwards when you saw the slight smile on his lips. "No, you are. But you are a great S.P.D Ranger. And I know how important it is for you to become the Red Ranger. I'm sorry for sounding callous before."
Sky shook his head as he reached out to hold your hand on your lap, squeezing gently. "I'm sorry for always talking about my problems. I want you to know that I will listen more."
You smiled softly, "Can I pace the floor, complaining about Jack like you do?"
He chuckled, nodding, "Sure."
You rested a hand on his cheek, closing your eyes as your lips met. Sky lifted a hand to the nape of your neck, drawing you closer before pulling away to meet your gaze.
"I thought you wanted to complain about Jack?"
You shrugged, "I can do it later. I missed you."
"I missed you too." He smiled as he reignited your kiss and you leaned into his chest as he deepened it.
He understood relationships required a certain amount of give and take and would talk less and listen more. You felt as if your training was slipping? He would train with you. He felt like he needed to decompress after a stressful day? You would help take his mind off of it. While he never said it aloud, Sky was grateful that Jack stepped in and lied to get you in a room together to work it out.
He hated arguing with you, but he loved making up afterwards.
'BREAKING BLUE'

Preston often struggled with the guilt of keeping such a large secret from you. When he became the Blue Ranger he didn't believe he could do it, and you saw his sullen mood and asked what was wrong. He bent the truth and said he didn't feel capable of helping Sarah complete a project, and whenever he felt those doubts creeping back in he remembered the way you smiled at him, and for every worry you listed reasons why he could do it. And while you never knew what was really troubling him, you built his confidence and over time Preston became a stronger Ranger because of your reassurance.
The words were on the tip of his tongue that day, but Preston knew how important it was to keep his identity a secret. It was for your protection and he didn't want to do anything that would put you in harm's way.
He frequently grappled with his choice to keep you in the dark. Before becoming a Ranger, and meeting Sarah, Preston didn't dare ask you out, but with a little push from the blonde he asked you to a school dance and your relationship had only grown stronger since that day.
Galvanax started his invasion of Earth by sending monsters down to destroy the city but the power-hungry champion began to realize that he needed to change tactics. And needed to weaken the team that, while knocked down now and then, was always victorious in the end.
You were hanging with friends when your phone rang and heard Preston's voice. "Hi, I really need to talk to you. Can we meet somewhere?"
"Of course."
Unbeknownst to you the caller was not your boyfriend and was the latest contestant Galvanax had sent down to Earth. Phonepanzee, who had the ability to mimic anyone's voice, was luring you into a trap that would change your life forever.
Your friends were confused when they saw Preston with Sarah less than fifteen minutes after you were gone. The two Rangers approached the table when they called out and Preston was confused when they told him about the phone call.
"I didn't call her."
"But she went to meet you."
"Did you hear where?" Sarah asked.
"Yeah, the park."
Preston left the café with Sarah and the two Rangers rushed across town to the park. As they got closer his phone buzzed and he read your text message, asking where he was. He pressed number one on his speed dial and was relieved when you answered seconds later.
"Where are you?"
"I'm at the park. Where are you?"
"Listen, I can't explain it right now, but that wasn't me on the phone earlier."
"Preston," You giggled softly, "I know your voice."
"It's a trap. You need to leave, right now."
"But -"
"I promise I'll explain later, just, please, get out of there."
He sighed in relief when you agreed and the two Rangers arrived at the park ten minutes later. Preston looked around warily as they split up and took out his cell phone when it rang.
"Y/N?"
"Preston, help!"
"Where are you?" He turned, his eyes searching the park for any sign of you, but this early in the day it was practically deserted.
"Right here!" A manic voice laughed and Preston jumped back when a monster leaped off a tree, landing across from him. "Please help me."
Preston rolled his jaw when the monster mimicked your scared tone and clenched his fists. "Where is she?"
The monster spoke using his own voice, "You'll have to go through me first."
"Fine by me." Preston took out his power star and morphed, holding his sword tightly as he got into a fighting stance. When the monster jumped up and down, laughing gleefully, he was confused by the reaction.
"I told you, didn't I?"
Preston looked at where the monster removed a device that mirrored its surroundings and his eyes widened behind his helmet when he saw you tied to a tree nearby. You were equally shocked by the revelation that he was the Blue Ranger.
"Y/N?" He stepped towards you but the monster lunged towards him and Preston rolled backward, blocking the attack.
"You lied to me, Preston!" The monster continued to force him to back away with each strike and when he had managed to temporarily hold his arms, Preston pushed him away.
"Stop mimicking her voice!"
You could see that the monster had gained the element of surprise by exposing his secret, and by using your voice he was distracting the Blue Ranger who was struggling to stay on his feet. You struggled against the ropes and inhaled sharply when they dug into your skin, watching as Preston fell to his knees, losing his suit. He held up his sword when the monster, Phonepanzee, struck, pushing down on his sword.
"I understand why you did it!" You called out to your boyfriend who looked at you. "I know why you couldn't tell me. And it doesn't change how I feel about you."
Phonepanzee looked at you then at Preston when he felt him breaking free.
"I love you!"
Preston grinned as he slowly got to his feet, pushing the monster backwards. "I love you too!"
You smiled brightly as he gained the upper hand and the monster got to his feet, waving his arms around as he yelled, "No! I was winning!"
Preston slashed his sword left to right as he spoke, "There was a flaw in your plan. You underestimated her. You've already lost." He rested his sword on his shoulder, meeting your gaze with a smile before he looked at Phonepanzee.
You watched the Pink Ranger run toward the monster, blasting him backwards as she stood next to Preston. As the two Rangers fended off the monster, the rest of their team arrived and you got a front-row seat to his defeat.
As the monster grew, Preston cut you free and closed his eyes when you wrapped your arms around his neck, lifting you off the ground as he nuzzled his head into the crook of your neck. You pulled back as your feet touched the ground and kissed him passionately.
"We have so much to talk about, Blue." You smiled softly.
Preston nodded in agreement. "I will tell you everything I promise." He reignited your kiss before you got as far away from the enlarged monster as you could as fast as you could, while he joined his team to defeat him a second time.
You were sitting outside an ice parlor when Preston arrived and smiled when he greeted you with a kiss before occupying the chair beside you.
You ordered more ice cream and listened as he told you the story of how he became a Ranger and some of the battles they had won. He revealed the real reason why he doubted his abilities and how your support had helped him grow as a Ranger and a person.
"He told me that his plan was to weaken the team. He wanted to break you exposing a weakness. That's why he lured me out there."
"It almost worked," Preston admitted. "I thought by keeping you in the dark I was protecting you. I should've told you the truth. I'm sorry."
"I know why you did it. And I understand why. If the roles were reversed, I would probably make the same choice." You placed a hand on his arm and he covered your hand with his, squeezing gently, sweeping his thumb back and forth over the back of your hand.
"I love you."
"I love you too, Blue." You smiled when he chuckled lightly and closed your eyes when he lifted a hand to your cheek, kissing you tenderly.
When you pulled away, you walked away from the ice cream parlor and Preston took your hand, intertwining your fingers. You smiled as you rested your head on his shoulder and placed your free hand on his arm. As he turned his head, he closed his eyes and placed a lingering kiss on your head. He knew that whatever the future had in store, you would face it as you did everything else - together.
'LOVE'S ARROW'
gif belongs to me
You were close by when Venoma fired her arrow toward the Blue Ranger, and Preston knocked the arrow away with his blade as students fled the school grounds. He heard your friends call your name and turned to see you on the ground, an arrow in your chest before it disintegrated.
Before he could take a single step toward you, Venoma attacked him, and he deflected her strikes, chasing after her when she fled a few minutes later. He removed his suit as he returned to the school and approached where you sat on the grass, rubbing your chest.
"I saw what happened are you okay?"
You lifted your head and Preston caught a glimpse of the wide smile on your lips seconds before you leapt up, wrapping your arms around him. "I am now that you're here."
Preston glanced at your friends who were equally confused by your behavior, feeling heat creep up his neck as he smiled shyly. You had known each other a long time, often partnering up in classes, and on her first day Sarah had seen the way he looked at you and knew he had feelings for you, while you appeared oblivious.
"We should take you to the nurse." One of your friends spoke up, looking at your friend group who nodded in agreement.
Preston was counting the seconds that ticked by and you had yet to release him. After a minute and a half, you were still smiling up at him as if he hung the moon and the stars and he knew Venoma's arrow had an effect on you.
"Will you come with me? I don't want to be apart from you. It hurts too much."
Meeting the gazes of your friends, he put his hands on your arms and sent them a small smile.
"I'll take her." He began to walk and you took his hand, leaning into him as he led the way.
"I like your hair this way." You combed your fingers through his hair and Preston shied away, a frown forming on his lips at how you were acting. From what they had learned about Venoma and her arrows, the person hit with an arrow would fall hopelessly in love with her, but you were focused on him. And while he would love for this affectionate side of you any other day, he knew it was only caused by Venoma. "It's so neat yet fluffy."
Preston led you down the hallway and turned when you stopped following, seeing you smiling at him dreamily. You were a rational person, living by logic but the arrow had completely changed your personality.
"I feel fine. Let's go on a date!"
Preston held your gaze when you stepped closer, pouting as you leaned on your toes to match his height. Your eyes flickered to his lips and when you leaned in, his eyelashes fluttered before he snapped out of it, not wanting your first kiss to be when you were under the influence of a toxin, and put his hands on your arms as he moved away.
"After we go to the nurse." When you pouted, Preston decided to use the toxin to his advantage, "For me?"
You immediately smiled and took his hand. He sighed in relief as he led you down the hallway and you giggled when you realized he had taken a wrong turn.
"This isn't the nurse's office, silly."
Nevertheless, you were just happy to be with him, and Preston glanced down at you before opening the door to the base. Sarah was working at one of the tables and Mick was asking questions, both looking up when they heard your voice.
"Woah, this is so cool. I should take a picture." You stepped in front of Preston and he shook his head when you took out your cell phone.
"Something is seriously wrong." He looked at the two desperately and glanced at you while you admired the photo you had taken of him, making it your new lockscreen.
"What happened?" Sarah asked as she and Mick approached him.
"I was fighting Venoma, when she fired an arrow and it hit Y/N," Preston explained, looking at you with a concerned frown on his lips. "Instead of falling in love with her, she fell in love with me. She's under some kind of spell."
"A love spell." You said, drawing out the 'o' as you wrapped your arms around his waist.
Preston looked at Sarah whose eyebrows raised at your display of affection. She could see how upset he was, knowing you only felt this way due to the toxin in Venoma's arrow, and her heart clenched at the sight.
"Come on, I'll take a look." Sarah led the way, and Preston followed, knowing it was the only way you would cooperate.
You took a seat on the table and smiled at the Blue Ranger, who stood rigidly. He knew that once the toxin wore off, you would be back to normal, and he dreaded the aftermath when you avoided him. He had never worked up the courage to ask you out, and Sarah had encouraged him to several times but the Blue Ranger could never go through with it, fearing the rejection and not wanting to make things awkward between you both. He preferred to be just friends than to lose you completely.
You reached for him with a smile on your lips and the Blue Ranger held back the urge to move closer but when you pouted, his resolve broke and he stood next to you, letting you hold his hand.
You placed your palm against his, seeing the differences and Preston felt as if his pounding heart was being crushed, knowing that these feelings you had were only temporary.
"You know I'm trying to be mad at you." You spoke up.
"Why?" He asked, turning to meet your gaze.
"You're one of those Rangers I've seen on the news, and you never told me." You smiled softly when he opened his mouth to apologize, "It's okay. You're lucky that I find you so cute."
Preston looked at Sarah when she had collected enough data and explained that the effects were identical to what Brody was going through, but when his blade touched the arrow, it changed the object of the love spell.
"'Cause it's witchcraft." You sang, bursting into a fit of giggles as you leaned into Preston. "Sinatra? Witchcraft? Because of the spell?"
"And the only way to stop it is by destroying Venoma." Preston frowned deeply.
You hopped off the desk when he walked away and Preston turned, shaking his head.
"No, you need to stay here."
"I'm not letting you go alone."
"I can handle it."
"You don't have a plan!"
"Do you?"
You thought for a moment, before a small smile formed on your lips. "She fires arrows, right?" He nodded. "I have a plan. First we need to draw her out."
"I'll do it." Sarah stepped forward. "Go."
You grabbed his hand and pulled him out of the base. His brow furrowed when you led him to the stage, searching the costume box of the upcoming play and when you turned you held up metal armor that would protect his torso from any arrows.
"You know that if I do this, you won't love me anymore, right?"
You smiled as you handed him the armor, "I will."
Preston swallowed the lump in his throat as he blinked away the tears in his eyes. He took off his light blue button-up and put on the armor before putting it back on. You stepped forward to help with the buttons and knocked on his chest, hitting the armor.
"I can't convince you to stay here, can I?"
"You know me so well." You smiled, and for the first time, he returned it. He took your hand and you left the school, reaching Sarah who dodged Venoma's attacks.
You held his hand when he tried to pull away and when he turned, Preston closed his eyes when you kissed his cheek. "Be careful."
He sent you a nod before drawing Venoma's attention. You watched as the monster turned to him as he morphed. Sarah joined the fight and the two Rangers seemed to gain the upper hand before being knocked back.
Venoma fired an arrow and you held your breath when it landed in his chest. You didn't know if your plan would work, and you were starting to regret letting him go. Preston lost his suit and you watched as he got to his feet, declaring Venoma was his one true love. You felt your heart twist painfully in your chest as the two hugged. Preston stepped back, stealing the last love arrow she had, and using his sword to cut it in half.
"No! My last love arrow! Now my spell is broken!"
Preston watched as the pink arrow disintegrated with both relief and sadness in his eyes. Your eyes flashed pink as the spell broke and you looked around in confusion before remembering where you were. You felt your cheeks flush as you recalled your behavior.
"But you said my love arrow struck you!"
"Oh yeah," Preston opened his button-up revealing the armor that had a hole where the arrow landed. You sighed in relief when you realized he was okay, and that he had tricked the monster to destroy the last arrow. "I did say that. This is made of metal," He banged his blade against the metal armor, "your arrow never touched me." He dropped the armor and twirled his blade, resting it on his shoulder. "Sorry Venoma, you shouldn't believe everything you hear."
You leaned against the tree with a relieved sigh, a grin forming on your lips as Sarah joined his side. The two ducked when she fired her fighting arrows and you hid behind the tree as they exploded upon impact, looking over your shoulder to look for the two Rangers, obstructed by smoke.
"Preston!"
"Y/N, run!"
Your eyes widened when you saw Venoma approaching you and ran through the woods next to the clearing. Venoma fired arrows and you halted in your steps when a tree snapped in half, blocking your path.
You gasped when the other Rangers appeared, blasting the monster backward. You felt hands pulling you to safety and lifted your head to meet his gaze through his helmet.
"You need to get out of here. Come on." He held your hand as he led you out of the woods, and you recognised the road you were on, turning to look at him when he moved away.
"Preston," You called, causing him to turn. "Be careful."
The Blue Ranger nodded, and you watched as the blue of his suit got further away. You took out your phone as you began to walk down the road, pausing when you saw the lock screen photo you had taken of him earlier. There was a heavy sadness in his eyes that you caught in the moment and a frown formed on your lips as you looked at the photo. You recalled the way he looked at you in the costume room, the sad smile on his lips as he told you that you wouldn't love him anymore if he broke the spell.
Was it possible he really didn't know how you felt?
School went back to normal the next day and you were determined to talk to Preston who had purposely eluded you all morning. But when you shared several classes he knew he would have to see you eventually. You met his gaze as he walked to sit a few chairs away and sent him a small smile that he returned.
When the class was over, you took your time putting your books into your backpack, watching as the class began to empty and the teacher left for lunch. Preston headed for the door and you caught up to him in the doorway.
"Can we talk?"
He halted in his steps, looking down as he nodded before entering the room, holding the strap of his backpack on his shoulder as he turned to meet your gaze.
"How are you feeling?"
"I'm okay." You sent him a small smile. "I can't believe the costume worked."
"I didn't doubt that it would."
He returned your smile briefly and you sighed as you adjusted your backpack on your shoulder. "Look, I want to apologize -" You began.
Preston shook his head, "It was Venoma's arrow. I know it wasn't you."
"True, but that wasn't how I pictured telling you how I felt." You sighed as you stepped closer, holding his gaze. "The truth is, Preston, that I've liked you for a while now, but I was worried that I'd ruin our friendship if you didn't feel the same way." You shrugged your shoulder lightly, "I thought it was better not to say anything at all and stay friends."
"You did?" His head perked up as you nodded. "I did too."
"Really?" When Preston nodded, you smiled softly, "Would you like to go out sometime?"
"Yeah, I would." A smile formed on his lips, "This weekend?"
"It's a date." You closed the distance between you and kissed his cheek.
Preston turned when you walked to the door, looking back to meet his gaze. When you left the room his smile grew as he touched his cheek and he already had the perfect place in mind for your first date.
'UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN'

He relived the moment he first saw you in his mind daily. Amelia introduced him to you and your smile was warm as you set folded cards that had the names of the baked goods next to each tray. You were continuing a long tradition, started by your great-grandmother, using her recipes to raise funds for charity at a local fun day.
He stepped forward when you struggled to move a second table to put more baked treats on display and lifted it effortlessly, helping you get organized. You thanked him and gave him your favorite, and Zayto was impressed by the baked delight.
Over time as you grew closer you often surprised him with his favorite just to see his eyes light up. Your compassion and kindness were the first things he learned about you.
You recognized the look in his eyes that took over when he thought no one was watching. But you were. You related to the great loss he suffered, and while leaving out certain details, Zayto confided in you about his past. When he suffered doubts and felt his hope dwindling after a battle, it was common for him to seek you out and after five minutes in your presence, he felt invigorated - ready to fight the good fight until the end.
While his team also helped him adjust to Earth after he woke up from his stasis, you noticed that he looked as if he was experiencing the world for the first time and took him to his first movie, to a carnival, and to a concert.
During his second month on Earth, Zayto approached Amelia, asking what to do on a first date and where you'd like to go. The Pink Ranger smiled as she encouraged him to ask you out, sensing for a while that something was brewing between you.
Your first kiss happened in the spur of the moment. You were walking hand in hand, your free hand resting on his arm and Zayto looked over, seeing the smile on your lips and how the sun peeking through the buildings light up your features. You turned when he stopped walking and his hands rose to your cheeks, feeling the hesitance in his tender kiss. When you placed your hands on his chest he grew more certain of his actions and the passion that had been brewing finally boiled over.
You found out that he was the Red Ranger on your second date. Zayto was pensive throughout and when you asked what was on his mind, he revealed his secret and withheld information about his past. You were floored by the information and Zayto spoke through your shock, his eyes desperately searching your shocked expression to find out what you were thinking. When he was finished, the room felt suffocating due to the silence and Zayto felt his gut twist with each passing second. Your eyes flickered to his antennae then met his gaze, repeating over and over again. Then you reached out to hold his hand and watched as the tension left his body when you sent him a small smile.
The physical contact allowed him to read your mind and he was emboldened by what he heard. Your smile grew and he mirrored it, knowing you knew he was listening.
When Rafkon was destroyed Zayto retreated to the base and Ravi reached out to you, and the Red Ranger turned when he heard someone approaching. He was surprised to see you entering the base and realized you were sent there by a member of his team. You didn't say a word as you wrapped your arms around his waist and he closed his eyes, feeling his throat burn with unshed tears which fell when you rested your head on his chest.
He had lost everything, but he had you, and Zayto was determined to save Earth from the same fate.
The first time he said "I love you" it left his lips before his mind could catch up. But he never took it back, as deep down he knew that was the only word he could use to describe how he felt about you - you were the light at the end of a tunnel.
You took his broken and battered heart and put it back together with everything you did. Your smile, your laugh, the way your eyes lit up when you looked at him, and the way you would use his telepathy to have private conversations.
The day the light was extinguished, the day that he lost you, was the most painful one of all. By the time he reached you, you were too weak and he held you in his arms as your eyes closed, his tears leaving tracks down the dirt on your cheeks.
His team sensed the change within him. Zayto threw himself into training and when he fought it was with a ferocity Aiyon had never seen before. When he wasn't training or fighting he was lost in his thoughts and Aiyon got a sinking feeling in his gut during the final battle.
Zayto kept your necklace hidden safely in a place only he knew to find it. Before he left the base, Aiyon had looked back when he saw Zayto wasn't following and noticed him putting on the necklace, kissing it before steeling his emotions.
Zayto appeared overly calm, as if resigned to his intended fate, and when it was all over, when their leader was destroyed, Aiyon realized why Zayto was so quiet.
He had lost Rafkon. But his greatest loss was you - the love of his life. Zayto was determined to save Earth, but couldn't bear to spend another second without you. In his last moments, Zayto sacrificed himself to save Earth, and hoped that Amelia was right - he would meet you again.
'A DRIVE DOWN MEMORY LANE'

You were smiling as you talked to Kat and Tanya, making plans to go to the mall when Tommy felt it. The feelings he had tried to dismiss and write off. The Zeo Rangers were locked in a battle against Queen Machina, and when they finally had time to themselves, college classes and assignments took up their time. As you turned your head to glance back at him, Tommy felt as if he hadn't seen you properly for months and it felt like a punch to the gut when he realized how much distance there was between you.
At the end of your senior year, you both promised to handle life together, to not get thrown aside as you adjusted to life as a Freshman, but life kept pulling you both in opposite directions and Tommy was determined to change that.
There had been many nights, many weekends when you had climbed in his truck and let the road lead the way. The destination never mattered it was being with each other that counted, and you had many polaroids, many videos of these moments when you escaped together. Tommy felt the urge to hit the road and take a trip down memory lane.
You filled a picnic basket and hit the road, excited to finally have time alone. You had known Tommy for a few months before you started dating. You shared classes, frequently said hello in the hallways of high school and he would sometimes join your table at the library when he wanted to catch up on schoolwork. When he lost the powers of the Green Ranger due to Rita's candle you knew something was wrong, but at that time, you didn't know about his secret identity. Still, you comforted him, reassured him, and gave him hope that whatever he had lost, he would find again.
When he became the White Ranger the bounce returned to his step and he worked up the courage to ask you out on a date. You would find out about his secret identity a few weeks later when he was ambushed while you were walking in the park together and when it was over Tommy ensured you weren't harmed before revealing that he was the White Power Ranger.
Your relationship only grew stronger since then and when he became the Red Ranger, you were there to ease his doubts about leading the team. Many people over the years commented on how supportive you were of each other and Tommy accredited your support to the success of your relationship. You had seen couples you had gone to high school with last a week, some months, and some had broken up due to the pressures of college. Tommy refused to let you become one of those couples. And right now Tommy felt as if it was slipping through his fingers. He was determined to fix it.
You looked over at the Red Ranger as he drove, the window blowing your hair, and you smiled at the sight of him driving, arm resting on the open window.
Noticing your stare, Tommy glanced away from the road, "What?"
"Just enjoying the view."
Tommy chuckled, shaking his head. "The view is pretty amazing."
You smiled when he reached over to hold your left hand, covering your joined hands with your right hand.
Although you would never mention it, you started to feel the void in your life due to how little you saw your boyfriend. You felt as if high school was an easier period in your relationship as you frequently shared classes, and saw each other around the hallways, but on a college campus your paths rarely crossed unless you sought each other out, and between his duty as the Red Ranger and class assignments, those moments became rarer and rarer.
When he pitched the idea to hit the open road just like old times, you immediately agreed and prayed that he didn't have to rush off and fight against the Machine Empire. And after two hours on the road, you were starting to feel hopeful that maybe, just maybe someone was listening.
You swapped stories about your classes and when you stated that you felt as if you were snowed under assignments, and worried about failing classes, Tommy reassured you that after pushing a Putty into a lake you could overcome anything life threw at you. You laughed as you recalled your date that ended in disaster. You had noticed a Putty trying to gain the upper hand on your boyfriend and put the picnic blanket over its head and pushed it into the lake, granting Tommy time to take out the others.
Tommy parked on the edge of a mountain, overlooking the small town, lit by streetlights and lights shining out of windows. You turned your head when he placed his arm around your shoulders and you smiled softly when he angled his body towards you, giving you his full attention.
"You know, this feels familiar."
"Really?" He asked as his fingers swayed back and forth over your shoulder.
You hummed, turning your body towards his while placing a hand on his chest. You toyed with his white t-shirt underneath the red button-up he wore and Tommy smiled when he saw the smile on your lips.
"You had your hand on my waist," You paused when he moved a hand to your waist, bringing you closer.
"Like this?"
You nodded slowly, causing your noses to brush, "and my hand was on your cheek." You placed a hand on his cheek, swiping your thumb back and forth, eyelashes fluttering as you tilted your head upward as he bowed his head a little.
"I think I'm starting to remember..." He whispered, his lips grazing yours.
You closed your eyes when his hand rose from your waist to cup your cheek, kissing you tenderly in the beginning before becoming more passionate. When you pulled away, he leaned in, planting three lingering kisses on your lips, before pulling back to meet your gaze.
His thumb moved back and forth along your jaw as he held your gaze and you smiled softly as you ran your hand down his chest.
"What are you thinking about?"
"I was thinking that it feels like I haven't seen you for years. But mostly I'm enjoying the view."
You shook your head softly, a giggle leaving your lips when he smiled toothily, and tugged on his shirt, bringing him closer as you leaned in to reignite your kiss.
When you return to college, you put more effort into making time for each other. To be alone without your friends and it became a routine to hit the road on the weekends to escape together. And while there were times when he had to rush off to lead his team, Tommy always kissed your cheek before he left and when it was over, he would return to you, picking up right where you left off.

Her eyes were drawn to you as you stood next to Jason, arms crossed as you observed the younger students. When you noticed one boy having difficulty, you stepped forward to help him, standing side by side as you taught him the Mawashi Geri - the Roundhouse Kick.
"Hello, Kimberly!" Trini teased with a grin, gaining her attention. "You didn't hear a word I said just now, did you?"
"Sorry, I was -"
"Staring at the cute guy over there? Yeah," Trini shared a smile with Zack, "we noticed."
As the trio began to converse, Jason joined the table to have a drink, his eyes moving between the group, seeing the teasing grins on Zack and Trini's lips. "What?"
"Someone has a crush on y/n." Zack nodded and the group looked at where you were smiling as you addressed the group of students, who were wide eyed with admiration as you spoke.
Jason understood their admiration as your explanations were both detailed yet easy to follow, and you always had a phrase to help the younger students remember difficult movements. You were a great competitor during competitions, and well disciplined. Sometimes he wished you could help them fight against Rita due to your skill.
He looked at Kimberly, "I can introduce you, if you want."
"Really? You would do that?"
Jason chuckled, nodding, "Sure. Come over after class is dismissed."
He re-joined the class for the final fifteen minutes and once you both bowed to dismiss the students, Jason collected his towel and his bag while Kimberly approached the two of you.
"Uh, Y/N, this is my friend Kimberly. Kimberly, this is Y/N."
You sent her a smile, and a nod, as you put the strap of your bag on your shoulder. "Hey."
"Hey," She returned the smile, "You're really good with the kids."
"Thanks. I remember what it was like when I was learning, and it sometimes helps to remind them that no one rarely performs a move perfect first time." Remembering that you were on holiday next week, you turned to Jason, "Are you still cool to cover the class next week?"
Jason nodded, looking at Kimberly. "His family has a cabin out of state where they go fishing once a year."
"I'm a poor fisherman. But a good beer-boy." You smiled when she laughed. "I better head home to pack." You turned to Jason, clapping a hand on his shoulder, "Thanks for covering for me, man."
You looked at Kimberly, walking backwards, "I'll see you around?"
She stood straighter, trying not to smile too wide from excitement. You wanted to see her again. "Definitely."
You flashed a toothy grin before leaving the Youth Centre and Kimberly turned to Jason who was grinning when he saw her expression. "Thank you! Thank you!"
He chuckled, "We're playing basketball at the park tomorrow, do you want to come along?"
From her smile, he knew the answer was yes.

The chill of the space beside him alerted RJ that you were no longer sleeping beside him and had been gone for at least ten minutes. He sat up, looking around the room, the moon outside peeking in through the curtains granting enough light that he could see you weren't in your bedroom. He glanced at the clock as he got out of bed and quietly made his way to the living space, finding it was encased in darkness.
He looked around in confusion until he heard a noise from downstairs in the pizza parlour. A smile formed on his lips as he headed downstairs to the kitchen where he found you spreading sauce on the pizza dough you had made.
RJ chuckled, startling you, and you looked at your husband when he approached you. "Let me guess, midnight snack?"
"What? I'm eating for two now." You placed a hand on your bump, and RJ smiled as he stood behind you, placing his hands on your arms while kissing your cheek.
"Here." He took over the cooking, and you helped add toppings, looking over at him.
"Did I wake you?"
He shook his head, "The bed was cold."
He didn't have to elaborate for you to realize why he had started looking for you. It had been months since the incident, but the look in his eyes told you that it was still very much on his mind. RJ could never shake the fear that overcame him when he found you were gone. It took him back again and again and revisited him in his sleep. The night you were taken by Dai Shi, who stole your animal spirit to make himself stronger, haunted him every day since.
You frowned, observing your husband, whom you had met at the academy. You got married weeks after graduation and have been together ever since, and there was no greater test than helping him mentor three teenagers who could save the world.
You couldn't imagine how it must've been while you were gone. RJ had spoken about it after a nightmare, and you discussed his need to be closer to you once you returned. You knew that if the roles were reversed, you would've lost your mind with worry. And since your pregnancy, RJ was more protective than ever.
You approached the Purple Ranger, wrapping your arms around his waist, pressing a kiss to his shoulder after he placed the pizza in the oven. He smiled softly as he turned to you, and you rested your head on his chest as you stood in the lit kitchen, in his warm embrace.
"I'm sorry. I never thought - "
RJ shook his head, "I know. It seems silly now, months on, but I can't shake that feeling." He pressed a kiss to your head, meeting your gaze when you lifted your head to look up at him. "I thought I'd lost you. And I couldn't survive that." He placed a hand on your cheek, and you sent him a small smile.
"Do you remember what I told you at our wedding?"
"No matter what happens, we'll always have each other."
"Which means when - if - something happens to me, I'll haunt you forever."
RJ cracked a smile, and you smiled when he began to chuckle. He kissed you tenderly before walking to the oven to check on the cooking pizza. You placed your hand on your stomach in surprise, a smile forming on your lips.
"RJ," You called softly, gaining his attention.
He met your gaze, glancing at your hands. "What's wrong?"
"They're kicking." You told him.
He approached you, and you held his hand on your stomach. Moments later, he felt pressure against his hand, and he smiled brighter than you had seen in a while.
You met his gaze when he placed his hands on your cheeks and kissed you tenderly. "I love you."
"I love you too."
That night before time ticked by into the early hours of the morning, you headed upstairs and back to bed. RJ laid on his side while you sat with your back against the headboard, sharing the pizza you made as you added to the list of names you liked for both genders.
After the pizza was finished, RJ shifted until his head rested on your lap, and you smiled softly, combing your fingers through his hair, leaning over to turn off the lamp to allow your husband to succumb to sleep, knowing it didn't come easy to him lately.
While you still felt the void left by the absence of your animal spirit, it was nothing compared to the prospect of losing each other. And you were thankful that he and the Rangers had found you when Dai Shi went to extraordinary lengths to hide you away. He was growing stronger, but you knew the final confrontation between him and the Rangers was coming soon. And as you looked down at your husband you silently wished for him not to come to harm, and the Rangers.
Right now, you were still healing through the aftermath.

You leaned against the Red Ranger as he guided your arms, smiling when his breath tickled your cheek, listening as he passed on experience he had gained during battles, closing your eyes when he brought your body closer to his.
"You know, if you want me like this, all you had to do was say so."
Casey broke away, chuckling as he looked over at you, lowering his gaze to the ground. You grinned as you stepped closer, your footsteps silent due to your animal spirit, and he shook his head when he saw a smirk on your lips.
"You're supposed to be focused."
"I am. On you."
Casey held your gaze for a moment, laughter leaving his lips, as he glanced away. A squeal left your lips when he suddenly brought you to his chest, pinning you to the leafy ground. Your chest rose and fell as you stared up at him, the cub that became the master in a matter of months.
"Not focused enough."
You smirked, raising your eyebrows when he leaned down to kiss you, freeing your hands to place them on his jaw, closing your eyes as he deepened the kiss.
Casey remembered he was supposed to be teaching you, but the thought faded quickly as your noses brushed. "God, I've missed you."
"I missed you too." You murmured against his lips.
Casey buried his head in your neck and you ran a hand through his hair, a smile on your lips when he left kisses along your skin. Your tiger spirits had sought out each other while he was still a cub at the Academy, but Master Mao kept you separated, knowing it was the only way you could both advance during your training. Now that you had found each other again, there was no holding back and you savored every second together.
When Casey invited you to join him for training, you should have predicted it would end this way. His mouth captured yours, silencing your thoughts, the woodland drifting away into empty space as you kissed. RJ had mentioned it before to Casey who had brushed it off, claiming you were two good friends in a similar situation - before the Dai Shi threat began.
Tiger spirits were strong and always drew their counterparts, which explained how you and Casey always seemed to reconnect. Everything else faded away as your fingers unbuttoned his jacket. There were no expectations in the woodland, just two people, and two spirits connecting on a higher level, as you lost yourself in his kiss and each caress,
It was rare to have two tiger spirits in one area, and RJ knew it was due to the invisible force that brought them together. And understood why Master Mao kept you and Casey apart. It was because when you were together, your spirits made it appear as if nothing else mattered. And when facing Dai Shi, it was a mistake that could end a life.
But right now, in the sanctuary of the woodland Casey had brought you to, intending to teach you moves he had learned fighting against Dai Shi, that it became true.
The world faded away as you kissed, clothes falling around you as you lost yourselves in the moment. Tiger spirits were strong-willed and passionate, and when they found a pairing, it was for life.
It was always difficult to say goodbye, but you knew that you would only serve as a distraction to Casey's training and you had your own mentor to help you hone your skills, even if your heart resided with Casey Rhodes. It was always difficult to pull away from his kiss, making him promise to survive, so you could meet again, and live the future you had both dreamed of.
While Master Mao believed you were a distraction, RJ believed you reminded Casey what he was fighting for - a future. In the end, he was always certain of one thing, the two tigers would find each other. And it was proven when Casey sought you out after the final battle and you reunited, remaining side by side every since - even decades later.
The tiger spirits were fierce. Especially when they had something to lose. And when Casey left to fight against Dai Shi and his monsters, he knew exactly what he was fighting for - a future where all he saw was you.

"And front kick! Flip! Double kick!"
You sighed as you lowered your arms, looking at the Blue Ranger, resting your hands on your hips. Theo turned to you when he realized you were no longer following his instructions to help you train.
"What's wrong?"
"We're in the middle of nowhere." You stated. "Honey, I love you, but when I pictured our time together - our limited time together - I hadn't imagined this."
Theo raised an eyebrow, "I have roommates."
"I can be quiet." You dragged an invisible zip across your lips and he tilted his head, chuckling at your expression.
"What? I could! Besides they'll be working in the parlour anyway."
Theo shook his head, "We've already started we might as well finish the -"
You expertly showcased the move and Theo's eyebrows raised. You ran a hand through your hair, keeping it away from your eyes as you sent the Blue Ranger a smirk. Theo knew what to expect from that smirk.
"We're in the middle of nowhere..."
He shook his head, chuckling, "At least I managed to teach you something - mm -" He was cut off when you kissed him, grasping his collar, pulling him closer.
After a few minutes, you pulled away to catch your breath, running your hands down his chest.
"You never keep quiet." He stated matter of factly, and you pushed his chest, a giggle leaving your lips. Theo countered, pulling you back into his embrace before you could step too far out of his reach and you sucked in a breath when his lips grazed yours. He combed the fallen strands from your ponytail behind your ear, whispering, "I've missed you."
"I know." You replied, earning a raised eyebrow. "What? I know I'm adorable."
Theo chuckled, placing a hand on your cheek, as he leaned in to press a kiss to your lips, deepening the kiss as you wrapped your arms around his neck.
From the second you arrived at Jungle Karma, you both knew your time together was limited. You were needed at the academy, pushed to earn your mark, and your visit was fleeting. So you savored every second, enthralled with each other which reminded Lily of the simpler days back at the Academy.
His jaguar spirit was a match for your puma spirit, which challenged each other. It showed during classes, and when you arrived Lily explained to Casey, the complex relationship between you and Theo - as you each tried to compete against each other until one day she was sure you would have kissed during a sparring session in front of the entire class. Your chemistry was unmatched, and whenever she felt Theo becoming more single-minded, she contacted you, and he would receive a letter from you, reminding him that he was not fighting alone against Dai Shi She was certain you were the only reason he kept fighting, adapting, growing, to protect you from the warrior that was Dai Shi.
Theo was frustrated when you first arrived at the academy. You had lived most of your life purely through your animal spirit and when Master Mao found you he wanted to help you advance your skills, whilst living a normal life. Theo was jealous at first, as he quickly realized you were more in tune with your animal spirit than your predecessors, and you gained his envy. A truce was formed between you during class when you sparred and you were impressed by his discipline, and he was stunned by your ability to hone your animal spirit.
Now here you were, years later, still competitive but in a healthier light, proud of each other's achievements. Theo learned there was so much to learn from you, as you gained much knowledge from him. When he became the Blue Ranger, you weren't surprised and bid goodbye, parting with a necklace that referenced eternity.
Theo still wore the necklace that held a deep meaning. Your love was never-ending. He carried you with him every second of the day and you were always his first and last thought of the day, as he was yours.
Theo looked around the tree line before looking at you. "We better not get caught."
Your smirk grew, wanting to remind him of the time he spent in your quarters, sneaking off in the early hours of the morning to his own room, avoiding suspicion by the Masters when they called upon students to do a roll call.
However, you kept quiet, knowing Theo didn't need reminding of the one time Master Mao caught you leaving his room, mistaking his shirt for your own, and sentencing you both to cleaning duties for a month. Even if you argued he looked amused at the time.
The memory made you smile and Theo broke the kiss, looking down at you as you lay on the grass. "What?"
"I'll tell you later."
He shook his head, kissing you with a passion that caused you to forget everything else, as he intended, wanting to be the only thing you focused on. Your animal spirits were competitive by nature but Theo had long ago given up fighting, smirking as your Puma spirit submitted to his Jaguar spirit, his hands pinning your wrists above your head on the grass.
"Should I be concerned?" He murmured, lips grazing your ear.
"No." You whispered, "Reliving memories that's all."
He smirked down at you, an eyebrow raised as he quickly deduced which memories you were reliving. It had caused him great embarrassment in the past, but now he found the humour in it.
"You were always my greatest temptation."
You grinned, "Really?"
His kiss answered all your questions and erased all your doubts. Even after months apart, your love burned as strong as ever. And you knew as you laid your head on his chest in the wood, that it would always be this way. Your love was one in a million.
'THE RED RANGER'

Jason searched the school for you while the other Rangers headed to face off against Rita's latest monster. You were heading down the stairs when he found you and you knew instantly from his expression of regret that another date was about to be cancelled. That made it four in a row.
You listened as he claimed to have another emergency, and promising to make it up to you, and as you watched the man you love lie, you felt your anger reach a boiling point and your heart shatter.
"Don't bother." You walked by him and Jason called out to you as you headed down the hallway, sighing when you ignored him. Alpha warned him that the others were struggling without him and he knew he had to choose, and in that split second he chose his friends, hoping he hadn't ruined his chances with you.
Little did he know that you had plans of your own. You followed him out of school to the park where the other Rangers were fighting. Your eyes widened when you saw him help the four Rangers defeat the Putties. You clutched your camera tightly, snapping pictures of the Rangers as they fought to defeat the Putties.
You had supported him during competitions so you knew when his mind was distracted and when two Putties advanced behind him, you called out to him, "Jason, look out!"
He turned, finding you standing with your camera. He took down the Putties and looked at where you stood frozen, "Run, Y/N! Run!"
You hesitated as you watched him take down another Putty and swallowed thickly when he promised to explain later, taking out his morpher. You knew from the look in his eyes that you would only serve as a distraction and the last thing you wanted was for him to get hurt. So you left, looking over your shoulder just in time to catch him morphing into the Red Ranger. You stumbled but kept on running. You had no destination in mind, however, when you realized it was best to stay away from your house, you headed to Ernie's and when he saw how frazzled you were, he brought you a shake on the house.
Almost an hour later Jason entered with his friends and you knew from their expression that they knew, you found out about their secret. Jason approached you, a tentative smile on his lips as he said, "I can explain everything, if you want me too."
You left Ernie's and walked around Angel Grove, having no particular destination in mind as he told you the story about how he and his four friends became Power Rangers and the secret they vowed to keep to Zordon. You listened intently, not asking questions and allowing him to speak freely.
You stopped walking when he took your hands, assuring you that from this moment forth he would always confide in you, never lie about 'emergencies' and you saw the fear in his eyes - his belief that you would reject him and end your relationship.
You closed your eyes, squeezing his hands as you met his gaze, "Just promise me one thing."
"Anything." He agreed instantly.
"Always come back to me."
Jason smiled, a weight lifted from his shoulders, his hands rising to your cheek, "I promise. I love you. And I will never lie to you again. From here on out, complete transparency."
You smiled softly, "I love you too."
He leaned in to kiss you passionately, wrapping his arms around your as he deepened the kiss, and you placed your hands on his cheeks, smiling against his lips.
That day you made an oath to always be truthful, honest, and always stand by one another no matter what the future had in store. Your love will always persevere.

There was no telling when Rita would strike, no skywriting to warn the Rangers when she would send a monster to Angel Grove for them to fight. Kimberly took her duty as the Pink Ranger seriously, but she still felt guilty when she had to leave suddenly, unable to provide you with an explanation that didn't make it seem as if she was wigging out, or losing interest in you. She had never felt so strongly about anyone else before and feared that her excuses would create a divide between you due to how little time you spent together because of Rita.
You were a punctual person by nature, always on time or showing up early. So when you were late to meet Kimberly at Ernie's she feared that you had finally had enough of her running off unexpectedly. Your last date ended abruptly with her leaving the restaurant after you spent so long getting reservations, and she knew you were both disappointed and frustrated, reading your expression as she apologized before she left.
"He'll show up." Trini tried to provide her with some comfort but after nearly half an hour, Kimberly was losing hope.
"I don't know. I mean what if this is it, you know? Who could blame him? I can't remember the last time we had a date that wasn't interrupted by Rita or her monsters."
The group retreated from where Kimberly sat at the stools while Ernie made milkshakes for customers. As they discussed a way to cheer her up, the brunette sighed as she rested her head on her hand, looking at the blue placemat in front of her, not daring to check her watch.
"Hey," Tommy spoke up, ending the huddle, nodding to the doorway, "Look."
Trini turned, a smile forming on her lips when she saw you approaching Kimberly, seeing the flowers hidden behind your back. "Oh, I hope they work things out."
You tapped her shoulder and Kimberly turned as you revealed the flowers you had bought her. Her eyes widened in surprise, not expecting you to show up at all by this point. "My car broke down. I had to wait for the tow-truck and walked all the way here. Do you forgive me?" You pouted over the bouquet and she smiled brighter than you had ever seen.
Kimberly hopped off the stool and you opened your arms, returning the tight embrace, smiling against her shoulder. "I thought you weren't going to show up."
"And miss a second with you?" You pulled away, flashing her a dashing smile, "Never."
A blush formed on her cheeks as she accepted the bouquet of flowers you held out to her and you smiled when she thanked you, calling the selection beautiful.
You held out your arm, "Milady,"
She smiled as she looped her arm with yours, following you out of Ernie's. You both noticed her friends and you sent them a wave while Kimberly fawned over her flowers, making the guys chuckle and Trini grin. The Yellow Ranger knew that everything would work out between you the second you turned to smile down at the brunette.
"They really are perfect together, aren't they?" She whispered, more to herself than the others.
"Yeah, they are." Zack agreed.
Billy, Tommy, and Jason voiced their agreement, smiles lighting up their features as they watched you leave with Kimberly, each sending a silent wish for your date to go uninterrupted.
