“Thanks” She let out a small giggle, hesitating his suggestion for a few seconds before finally sighing softly and nodding, “Fine, okay, lets do it”. With a small laugh Amber finished the drink she was holding and took another one from the tray, taking a long swing and then frowning at how it burned down her throat, another laugh escaping her lips.

Ivan watched her and laughed slightly, turning as other people entered, holding the tray out so they could get themselves their drinks as well. “I have to give you your gift! Later, maybe when I’m not holding this anymore and when you’re actually relaxed.” he chuckled, nodding.

"You got a me a present" She said with a wide grin, nodding at him before finishing her second drink, knowing one more would be enough to leave her lightheaded and more relaxed, alcohol got to Amber pretty easily. So she took another drink, "Aren't you going to join me on drinking?" She said with another chuckle, taking another drink to offer to him.

“Yesterday?” She frowned a little, followed by a small soft laugh as she looked at him, taking another sip of her drink. “It’s just I’m a really good host” Amber started, “And everyone has to be enjoying themselves”.

“Yeah, but it’s your birthday.” he said pointedly with a frown before a look of realization crossed his face, “It’s your birthday! Happy Birthday!” he greeted enthusiastically, laughing. “Come on, just, finish this round of drinks and we can start getting you to enjoy this, okay?”

Amber rushed to the doorbell once she heard it ring yet again, a tray with drinks balancing on one of her hands as she opened it with other, a smile coming to her lips once she saw Ivan. “You came, great” She started, backing away from the door to let him in, “Come in, do you want a drink?”.

Ivan offered her a smile once she opened the door and shrugged, “Maybe later. You, uh, you need help?” he asked, gesturing to the tray of drinks she held. Of course, the key to a great party was to become a great host. She seemed to be stressed out a lot though and he wanted to help as much as he could. Besides, if she wasn’t so busy then they’d get some time to talk.

As soon as she got home Amber got to work. She wasn’t a lazy person, never had been, and liked to do things right. So the first thing she got to was the essay she had to write for the class she had just came home from (which she hadn’t paid much attention too); it took her about an hour and after arguing with herself on what to do next, Amber settled for going shopping for something to wear to her party. By the time she went to bed Amber was exhausted and fell asleep almost immediately.

The next day, Friday, she almost secretly wished she had a class with the guy she had met the previous day, Ivan, but sadly she didn’t and the day went by quickly, with people congratulating her and. After classes she hurried home, organizing everything and having a nice bath before beginning to get ready for the big party.

She had gotten dressed, done her hair, talked to the caters and turned up the music just as people began to arrive, greeting her with kisses on the cheek, smiles and gifts - which she put aside to open later.

Ivan finished class early that day, and honestly, he skipped a few because he just couldn’t focus. Maybe it was the party that night, maybe it was meeting that girl, Amber, the day before, but he just couldn’t keep his mind into anything. So after school, he went straight home and took a nice shower, dressing up and moving back to his car, driving off to where he knew the house was. It wasn’t hard to find either. Everyone was going to that direction.

Ivan made sure to drop by the store to get her something. Not really thinking about it, he got her a necklace and he kept the box in the pocket of his jacket.

Smiling to himself as he got there, he stepped out of his convertible, locked the doors and went up her front porch, ringing the doorbell.

Amber couldn’t help but to shake her head slightly as he teased her, letting out a quiet soft laugh as she did. “I’m superstitious” She admitted, reaching into her bag again to look at her phone and check the time just as the bell rang and she grinned widely, throwing her pen inside her bag and closing her notebook before standing up, pulling her bag up to her shoulder. “I’ll see you tomorrow then? My house, at 9, you can take whoever you want if you’d like to go with someone”.

Amber had been jogging for about half an hour now. There was a lot on her mind and exercising always helped relieve some of her tension. Her breath was quick and the last time she had stopped was to get a bottle of water - which she had already fully downed and thrown away. The sigh of a girl swaying her body side to side in front of some street players caught her attention and she began to slow down, taking her ear phones off of her ears so she could listen, still breathing fast once she was standing next to the blonde girl, trying to catch her breath. “They’re good” She breathed out after a few moments, turning her gaze to the side with a smile.

The soft and sweet music was now pouring out on the streets, Emily’s negative thoughts soon disappeared. Getting a little caught off guard, she heard a soft voice from someone in the crowd. Turning her head, she noticed a girl right next to her. ”Yeah, little things like this make my day.” She said, a smile began to form across her rosy lips. Shifting her eyes back towards the musicians, she could see how much passion they put into it; somewhat inspiring the girl before them. ”I’m Emily, by the way.” She softly adding, her head turning back towards the strawberry blonde.

"Mhm" She murmured, looking at the musicians playing as finally able to catch her breath. Once she felt the blonde's gaze back on her Amber turned to face her as well, smiling as she did, "I'm Amber, it's nice to meet you, Emily" She said politely.

“Coffee, black please” She ordered, leaning over the counter as she waited for her drink before it was finally handed to her and she turned to walk towards the exit. Just as Amber glanced down, her free hand reaching into her bag to look for her phone, she bumped into someone, letting out a gasp as her coffee spilled over her own shirt. “Shit” She muttered, looking down at her now ruined shirt and then had the person she had bumped into, mumbling a ‘sorry’ as she did.

Cassidy was walking into the coffee shop as she did every morning. As she opened the door, she ended up running into someone. Coffee spilled all over Cassidy’s shirt, infuriating her. “Damn it! Maybe you should watch where you’re going!” She crossed her arms over her chest before responding one more time. “A ‘sorry’ isn’t going to clean my shirt up.”

Amber raised her eyebrows, instantly annoyed by this girl. "Me? Funny, you're the one who bumped into me" She mumbled quietly, raising her voice as she spoke again, "Well, my shirt isn't exactly clean either".
