Worst thing for me is when Word Doc decides to freeze after I had classes and basically BEST TIME TO NOT AUTOSAVE EVER! and there goes my notes and report... I feel you on every aspect in this (the 2nd writing will NEVER BE AS GOOD AS THE FIRST *cries everytime*) But I hope you get your motivation back to keep writing though because you are honestly amazing at it and I would totally read anything you write. The physical copies are technically not on sale anymore, but you are free to purchase digital copies whenever you like, even after the physical copies go out. (Because of setbacks tho, you could order a physical copy and I can probably still get it made for a couple of weeks, but it wouldn’t ship out until a late batch, if you are really interested. I’ve seen this sentiment echoed on twitter several times but not on Tumblr—

We’ve all had that moment where we were desperately looking for content of our rare ship in a barren wasteland, or wading through too much content (that somehow still doesn’t have what you’re looking for, or has characterization you despise).

When something like this happens, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to commission a fic writer to write something for you. I don’t see that idea espoused enough. Pay writers to write that fic you crave! There are lots of writers out there with open commissions and flexible prices.

Stimulate the fic economy and be the change you want to read in the world!

Many people in the tags and reblogs of this very post are leaving notes that they are accepting commissions right now. Take a look through their blog or AO3 if they have one, and if you like their stuff, drop them a message! They might be in the same fandom as you but just don’t blog about it!

Try to set your rates at cents-per-word (I charge between 3 cents a word and 4 cents a word, personally) but when in doubt it might be easiest to have a few set rates like 

“I’m opening up 1000 word commissions. They’re $10 each, for five customers only. My main fandoms are [this], and [this], and [that], but I’m familiar with others so send me a message and we can talk it out. I would prefer to write [this thing] because it’s my strength, but I won’t write [this], [that], or [this other thing].
