Two works from my new series, Dutch Dyke, which is what the surprisingly creative kids called me at school. I mean, they weren’t wrong, so might as well own it. 😂

These are egg tempera on panel, atop homemade gesso. I’ve been really enjoying mixing my own tempera paints and making my own gesso to avoid all the plastic materials that are so common these days. And egg tempera is SO much nicer to paint with than acrylic! More to come soon!
