The sinking of a cruise liner at the beginning of this year, seemed to me to be significant.
I know I have heard a word/prophecy by someone that likened the church to a huge liner/cruise ship. i feel it is significant that this year in April, we will remember that 100 years ago, the pride of man/the unsinkable ship the Titanic sunk with considerable loss of life.
I believe it fits in with the word I gave you about the three churches.
It is time for the church to stop being a luxery liner. With everything provided for us on our journey every comfort afforded. Again the 'ship' has been built for our comfort, and pleasure, our enjoyment, to provide for our every need, to please US!!
The things we build out of our strength, and pride, the things we measure as successful are about to be bought low/sunk. Our unsinkable ships are about to do just that.
Our 'Babels' are about to be be bought low, (like the twin towers the thing man took pride in, bigger and better and unshakable; now reduced to dust again with considerable loss of life) we were not meant to build up/bigger and better, there should be no magic beansprout to the magical kingdom in the sky..Jack and the beanstalk), we were meant to spread out (not up) and be scattered.
Where before I saw God dealing with our structures from the top down (interesting the towers were bought low from the top down; these are observations, not opinions on God's judgement of America etc.). I now see God striking the Hull/foundations of our ship. This time God will deal with the bottom up. (root of things)
Just like the Titanic and the Costa Concordia, Jesus 'The ROCK'/the TRUTH is about to rip a hole in our hull/our traditions/pride/thoeries/beliefs time to deal with our roots.etc.
The cause of the last tradgedy and possibly the others is; 'Human Error ', I believe that is what God wants to deal with.
There are three ships that stand out, the titanic, the coasta concordia and Paul's ship in Acts 27.27 onward. (interestingly Paul was on his way to Rome/Italy when this happened)
In all these incidences life boats/jumping ship were an issue, they were not effective on many accounts ie. not enough, would capsize depending on angle of ship, etc in Pauls account the issue was that God had said all would be saved, and some were trying to 'jump ship'. It is time to stick together and wait for God's clear direction.
"30In an attempt to escape from the ship, the sailors let the lifeboat down into the sea, pretending they were going to lower some anchors from the bow. 31
Then Paul said to the centurion and the soldiers, “Unless these men stay with the ship, you cannot be saved.”
32 So the soldiers cut the ropes that held the lifeboat and let it drift away." (similar to Paul Millers dream about hot air balloon were ropes are cut, and the weights released.)
Again need to be prayerful...................do we let people go?? and cut away the weights?? Or do we cut away the lifeboats and 'stick together' or both?? What is God saying?
it is human nature to try and jump ship...........................we need to cut away the lifeboats...................
