I drew a shark girl.
I really don't know why I love shark girls so much. Real sharks terrify me. IT'S WEIRD.

I drew a shark girl.
I really don't know why I love shark girls so much. Real sharks terrify me. IT'S WEIRD.
Only a little time left before the full moon ends, so glad I got this in on time, even if it's a bit sparing.
Caught a minor flu I think, and it's been sapping my ability and energy to draw the last few days. So I'm down but not out. Hopefully will be getting better soon, and back to the 30 min sketches.
Also, she's nude. Deal with it.
So, I picked up the recently released Freedom Planet, and I gotta say, it's pretty much instantly one of my favorite games of all time. :D
Not sure if it's the Sonic nostalgia, the emphasis on a female cast, the rock solid platformer gameplay, or the astounding soundtrack, but I love this game to death.
It's been a very long time since I've drawn anything Sonic-ish, so I feel pretty rusty, but hey more practice. This was a fun change of pace and I certainly hope to draw these gals more in the near future.
Someone commissioned me to make a full color piece of this 30-minute sketch I did a few weeks back.
Pretty pleased with the results.
Finally getting back into these. Had to take a break to focus on commissions for a bit there.
This one is "Female Raccoon Politician".
Not much here, but I'm happy enough with it. It's hard to visually represent a politician actually--they're kind sparse in terms of visual cues, but I think I got it.
I really wanted a flag in there too, to drive the point home, but I didn't want to draw any real world flag at the same time.
So here you have it, Vote Lady Raccoon for President of the Tree Nation or something.
"Male Rhino Athlete"
This on definitely put me out of my comfort zone, but that makes it a good challenge.
The final product though, is pretty average.
"Male Guinea-Pig Priest"
Just seeing this prompt come up on my randomizer made me laugh out loud. The premise is inherently comical yet endearing, like something out of Redwall.
However, in practice, I felt like I couldn't find any significant design elements that were engaging. In retrospect, I should have gathered some references of high-ranking Christian clergy or something. Those guys have some epic robes and hats. Oh man, and staves too.
Meh, I feel this one was very bland and uninspired--lots of missed opportunity.
"Female Mouse Dancer"
Felt a bit aimless on this one at first. For the pose, I went for something overly ambitious initially, with some crazy splits going on. But then that conflicted with the shrawl/veil/whatever it's called I wanted to put in as well, so I ended up just putting the other leg back down.
As for the clothes, they were loosely inspired by most of the Dancers from the Fire Emblem series, which in turn I believe are loosely inspired by a lot of middle eastern dancing clothes, I think.
Today's prompt was "Female Cat Magician".
What I do have here, I actually really like. But for whatever reason, I felt like I was going frustratingly slow. Maybe I focused too much on certain details? In anycase, I only was able to do details on the upper body.
Also, my custom made prompt (I did mention that I have one now, right?) does have "male" as one of the options, but it keeps coming up female. XD
Not that I'm complaining. I genuinely enjoy drawing girls more.
With the permission of Ambris I did a coloring of his 30 minute drawing for today. And because of this, I thought I would see how far I could get with my coloring in 30 minutes. Thatâs what you see at the top. The bottom one is what you get with another hour and six minutes.
So that comes to a grand total of one hour and thirty six minutes, seems about average for me.
Even though Ambris also did this as a full moon challenge, I some how ended up with and daylight summer color theme, go fig.Â
To be honest, it does look like she's wearing summer clothes. XD
Thanks for the color~
Tonight's a full moon, and that means a wolf girl. :D
Also my 30 minute sketch for the night.
Truth is, I'm really tired this evening, so working up the discipline to actually still do this challenge was a challenge all on it's own. As such, I feel like the over all pic is kinda weak. I had nothing in mind other than "wolf girl", and I just kinda made it up as I wend along.
The end result is some okay line work, with some odd facial structure and posing like something out of Jojo's Bizzare Adventure. Satisfactory I suppose.
Even if I'm not super pleased with it, I did none-the-less stick to the plan, and I'm glad for it. Even though it's a mediocre drawing, I'm only more mediocre drawing closer to being a master.
Today's 30-minute challenge: "Female Rat Seafairer".
I opted for a pirate because pirates are cool. And then, like some kind of divine intervention, just as I was really getting into this drawing, the freaking Pirates of the Caribbean theme randomly popped up on my playlist as I was drawing this.
That was goddamn magical.
Me and a friend have decided to do our own 30 minute challenges for the sake of practice.
Both of us really want to focus on furry themed work. Despite a casual google search, I couldn't find anything in the way of prompts for furry art. So we may just do our own, much like this one.
Today's prompt was "Anthro princess of any species". I chose a fox. :3
In the future, maybe we'll start a "30-minute furry challenge" blog or something like that in the future, where we'll share the prompts and post submissions.
I love Ambris and this drawing of Demona just made me want to color it so I did. ^_^
Damn, that's actually some pretty nice coloring~<3
You know a show I miss?
Gargoyles.
Iâd kill for a (good) Gargoyles rebootâand hopefully with some kind of circumstance that had more regular female gargoyle characters.
I <3 Demona, she was a really cool complex character. And just about the hottest animated character ever drawn. Just sayin.
Yeah, I seriously had/still have a bit of a crush on Demona.
A quick sketch of a werewolf girl. :D
As part of my initiative to start populating this blog with some actual art, I've decided that every full-moon, I'll draw something lycanthrope related.
Starting out, it'll likely be mostly werewolves, and it'll likely mostly be girls, because hey, I like drawing furry girls~
As time goes on, I may make more fanfair for it, and produce more, higher quality pictures, but for now, time is limited. So here is a quick sketch, and a basic announcement of my plans. I just want to start doing *something* for this blog already.
So here it is, the first of many Full moon Lycan-sketches.
Note: I need a good tag for this series of pictures. . .
I really need to start posting here more often.
Trick is that I just can't find time to do general anthro art.
