Poem stubs and first drafts, which I’m trying to look on kindly and not throw away out of embarrassment. I had a tutor during my undergraduate degree who was keen on the idea of a ‘zero draft’––a space where you can write the most candid lines and not judge it as a draft to be edited but just what it is, an uncontrived idea. I think it’s a nice way to relieve the pressure of the blank page.
