“Okay I did notice you like animated movies. I know like the whole Pixar catalog because of you, babe.” Sid had spent a lot of time soft launching introductions to Bridget to friends and family, and while some were meeting her for the first time, all of her close inner circle already knew her to some degree, and/or heard like everything about her. “Okay well how outraged will you be if I told you that I have never seen the movie before?” Sid was trying to concentrate but it was hard not to focus on Bridget’s body when she was fully clothed, so she didn’t stand much of a chance with the state of her girlfriend at the moment. Besides the lusty part of her, Sid couldn’t express how happy she was at the fact that Bridget was as comfortable as she was in her space, it spoke volumes how freely she walked around and helped herself to everything in the room. “I don’t think you’re actually that sorry and I figured that you would.” With Bridget in front of her, Sid pulled the blonde down into her lap, “I’m more than okay, I’m…very happy an that has so much to do with you. I just wanted to make sure I said thank you for doing something that got you out of your comfort zone and I really hope you enjoyed being around my family because I’d love if it happened more than once a year, and vice versa. I’m like…all in with you.”

“Not super outraged because I’m not capable of being mad at you. Plus it gives me an opportunity to sit down and make you watch it with me for the first time.” Any reservations or anxiety she had immediately went out the window as Sid pulled her on to her lap, and seeing her so visibly happy was enough for her to feel the same. How she had ever managed to pull someone like Sid was still a complete mystery, but it was nice to feel like she was measuring up to what she felt like Sid deserved. “You don’t have to thank me for that. I think I’d be a terrible girlfriend if I didn’t get involved with your family. It’s bare minimum stuff.” She brushed her hand along her cheek before leaning in to peck her on the lips. “But for the record, I appreciate you doing the same. Makes everything feel a lot more real, doesn’t it?”

“They are not the same thing if you squint.” As it stood, Sid didn’t get an ‘I love you’, but she wasn’t worried about it either, which was surprising to her to say the least considering she was such a brat, but Bridget did a good job at making Sid feel wanted and even loved even if the words hadn’t made it past the blonde’s lips yet. “Oh I’m perfect? Gonna need you to make that very clear to Nadia when I forget to load the dishwasher every other night. I didn’t tell you? Sorry, I thought I had. I was in the grocery store and this guy’s wallet fell out of his pocket, I picked it up and chased him down to give it back to him. That was Wyatt. He recognized me from a picture or something so we started talking. I made a good impression.” Bridget felt like a magnet to Sid sometimes, and this was certainly one of those times. “I didn’t say big fan, but I don’t make hating them a personality trait. They’re cute sometimes and I didn’t expect a nightmare before Christmas to be one of yours. Love, Actually tracks though.” Sid wouldn’t have minded if they’d spent some times with their friends, but she was hoping for the alone time they were apparently gifted. She made good on her end of the bargain and made the two of them cocoa and even threw some Christmas cookies on a plate that her dad’s girlfriend had gifted her, “You know I never thought I’d be the domestic type, see what you do to me?” She said when she got into her bedroom and she set the tray of goodies and drinks down on her nightstand. “Can you come here for a second?” She asked while she sat on the edge of her bed.

“No, you didn’t. But that’s cute. A little weird to think the universe made that happen, but still cute.” From the start, Bridget had never had any qualms about introducing Sid to her family. Her parents as well as her siblings tended to be pretty easygoing, and Sid was practically the most loveable person she knew. It was what had kept her so calm during an otherwise stressful holiday season with so many family interactions and potential for weirdness. She could only hope Sid had similar feelings when it came to Bridget and her own family. “I like a lot of animation movies to be honest. But Love Actually is a given.” She shrugged, still maintaining her usual sheepishness whenever she had to talk about herself. Returning from her shower, she went back to Sid’s room and fished out a pair of sweatpants she kept inside one of her drawers, along with one of her girlfriend’s t-shirts to wear for the time being. A smile spread across her face at the small effort Sid had made with the cookies, stopping her short as she watched her take a seat. “I’m sorry, but I love it.” After throwing the shirt over her head, she made her way over to Sid with a small nod and only a tiny bit of hesitance. “You okay?”

“I’m not competitive, I just like winning stuff.” Sid explained as serious as a heart attack because she didn’t consider herself competitive even if everyone around her did for some strange reason. “And no, I couldn’t have but you lying to my face like that just to boost my ego is part of why I love you so much.” Sid’s hand reached out to tuck some of Bridget’s hair behind her ear. The Southsider didn’t need a really good reason to want to touch the blonde in anyway, she just felt compelled to and often; even the smallest ways of being close she would take every time. “I know what you mean. I didn’t want to seem like I was doing a whole lot this morning but Amelie is legit cool and Wyatt is a special brand of it, but we vibed the first time we met, doing a good deed really helped me out in the long run with that.” Sid followed Bridget’s lead and braved the cold, somehow still getting momentarily distracted enough to check out her girlfriend’s ass before kicking into gear and catching up, “Somehow I knew that was going to be your vote and I’m all for it. I don’t really have a favorite though, do you? If so that’s the one I want to watch.” Once they were inside of the apartment, there was no sign of Nadia or Tino so she figured they were still going strong back at her dad’s place. “You know where everything is and you have your marching orders, “Sid told Bridget as she tugged on her hand and pulled her in closer for a kiss and mumbled against her lips, “Mistletoe.” She explained, but she probably would have done the same without the excuse. 

“Right. Those aren’t the same things. Not at all.” She shook her head, creases forming in between her brows before she smirked and pressed to Sid’s forehead. Even now, the four letter word caught her by surprise, but it didn’t make her freeze like it used to. She was willing herself to return the admission, but apparently her quota for courage had run out after karaoke. “I don’t think you need to do a lot. They’re easygoing and you’re perfect, so there’s not much that can go wrong there. What happened when the two of you first met?” Bridget waited until Sid was close before she held out her hand and started to walk towards her front door. “Figures. I didn’t take you for a big Christmas movie fan. A Nightmare Before Christmas would be mine. Or maybe Love Actually. It’s hard to say when I love them all.” She nodded, quickly scoping out the place to see if anyone was home with them. It was too easy to get wrapped up in Sid’s company, and the last thing she needed was for her roommates to see any semblance of PDA. But Sidney’s kiss proved as confirmation that they were alone, a small smile forming once she forced herself to pull away. “And to think I figured you would hate the stuff. I’m glad you don’t though.” She lingered for a moment, unwilling to move away from her until she eventually made her way up the stairs to shower and raid Sid’s closet for something comfortable to change into.

“Okay well it is a little bit the point of karaoke, it’s just that nobody likes to admit it all of the time. And I know you did trust that I will be showing you how much I appreciate that very much tonight.” Sid’s voice wasn’t trash, but it wasn’t good either, rather nothing special, not like Bridget’s whose voice was a gift and a bonafide talent. She unbuckled her seatbelt and lolled her head to the side to look at the blonde full on, putting her hand on top of Bridget’s that rested on her thigh, “Good, it means reality is beating those motherfuckers out finally.” She leaned in to peck Bridget on the lips, “Okay so it’s cold as fuck out there, so game plan - you shower and get comfortable and while you’re doing that I’ll…make us some hot chocolate and we can do whatever you want from there. Sound good?”

“I think you’re just competitive regardless of what we’re doing. But full disclosure, you could have ‘won’ on your own.” Bridget blushed at the compliment, although in reality Sid hardly needed to do anything to show that she appreciated her efforts. In Bridget’s opinion, doing anything and everything to make her happy was a part of their deal, even if it meant subjecting herself to potential embarrassment. “It makes me happy to get closer to the people you care about. I guess it’s just a bonus that they happen to be awesome too.” She nodded in agreement, reluctantly letting go of her hold on Sid’s leg to unbuckle her seatbelt and get out of the car. “Good plan. I vote we attempt to watch a Christmas movie, unless that’s too cheesy to ask. Which one’s your favorite?”

“Tell me it’s not a whole fucking vibe that after marathoning family time with both our folks, it’s not a whole fucking vibe to be able to be able to say ‘I’ve got to get home’. If someone would have told me, I would have totally moved out sooner.” They had survived the marathon of spending portions of both their Christmas with the other’s family, Bridget’s in the morning and Sid’s later that evening. Sid made it a point to not make her expectations too high but regardless, she had a great time, loving both family and the blonde she got to spend Christmas with, “And thank you for absolutely killing family karaoke with me. Obviously you blew everyone away your fucking angelic voice.” Sid literally sighed as she killed the engine to her car after pulling up to her apartment building, ready to spend the rest of her night with Bridget in her place. “How do you think things went? Did you enjoy yourself?”

“Right? I think it’s the only reason we’re not completely dead from socialising. Not that I felt like I needed a break from your family or anything. It was fun.” Bridget never had high hopes for the holidays, but she had to admit that sharing this one with Sid made it all that more memorable. She was certain she could have been happy with any plan so long as it meant having her girlfriend by her side. “Totally not the point of karaoke. And you’re welcome, because you know that situation gave me the worst stage fright I’ve ever had. But I pushed through, just for you.” Bridget, who already had her hand on Sid’s thigh throughout the entire car ride, gave her leg a gentle squeeze. “Of course I did. I feel like I’ve finally gotten passed the intrusive thoughts that make me think your family won’t like me. And my parents are obsessed with you obviously. What about you?”

“No you don’t.” Wyatt countered, a smile tugging at the corners of his lips. “Amelie, you are incredibly easy to love. Even if the road to this meal took a lot of detours and wasn’t smooth sailing the entire way, loving you was never the hard part.” Wyatt, while he had been hurt in the past and knew well what it was like to have a difficult go of things with Amelie herself, never struggled to fall in love. He was a hopeless romantic to his core. He’d had to learn difficult lessons about placing his dream girl on a pedestal after Lark but it hadn’t entirely stopped him from falling hard and fast for someone new. “That makes sense. It’s hard to put a name to a whole new person who hasn’t formed their identity yet. I never thought about it like that. I think a lot of times we end up fitting our names somehow, don’t you? I think Amelie is a perfect name for you and Wyatt feels like it suits me.” He laughed along with her because it was the easiest thing to do. It stuck with him, though. He wouldn’t push the topic now but he wondered whether they’d have to soon enough. “Yeah, yeah. I’m the sweetest we all know.” He laughed again. “You don’t think so? That’s completely valid, obviously. You don’t have to want kids but can I ask why you think it’s not for you?”

He was right. The falling in love was easy, but everything else was hard. Of course it wasn’t what he was trying to say, or what he necessarily felt, but her mind dwelled on it anyways. She wondered if she would ever forgive herself for keeping such a monumental secret from someone she loved. “Tierney said the same thing. Something how about how it reminded her of a cute french girl. Wyatt defintely suits you, though. Same goes for Violet. Both pretty and slightly different, but not enough to get teased over it. Which is probably something more parents should consider.” She gave him a warm smile, one that was enough to communicate just how sweet she thought he was. “I don’t know. I don’t think I take the best care of myself sometimes, so god knows how I’d take care of someone else. But it could change, you know? Maybe one day I’ll feel it a bit more, when I’m older or something.”

“No, I doubt it. Falling in love with you was one of the easiest things I’ve ever done.” The building trust and eventually getting to the point where they could be in a relationship that felt secure was a little more difficult. He wouldn’t have changed a bit of it, though. Everything it took to get them here made them stronger as a couple and helped him grow as a person. “I don’t have any baby names picked out, either. Is it different than naming someone in a story you’re writing? I don’t write much of our comics but I did give a name idea that stuck once and that was pretty cool. There’s a lot of thought that goes into that, though. Before Underdog I never thought about it. I appreciate you backing me up, babe. That might not get us anywhere with them but it means a lot to me.” Wyatt smiled at her response but played up a bit of disappointment. “Ahh, but see you said sweet. Not sexy. One of these days I’m going to hit sexy and it’ll surprise us all.” He joked. “Kids? Oh, yeah. I definitely want one or two for sure. I’m not ready by any means but I am excited to someday be a dad. What about you? Do you want any?”

“Now I know that’s not true.” Amelie avoided his gaze for a moment, embarrassed like a little kid as she thought about it. She knew it was going to take her a long time to fall in love with anyone after Mason, hell it was hard enough to make friends after that, but she was almost certain it was the same case for Wyatt. It was hard to fall in love someone who constantly kept you at arms length. “I think it’s easier with characters. Less important, for one. But when you envision the person, it helps you think of a name. But with kids, you have no idea who they’re going to be or what’s going to suit them.” She rolled her eyes at him, taking one more bite before she eventually retorted. “Not to me. But I’ll say it when it feels right, don’t you worry.” She was clearly joking just for the sake of it, although there was probably a world of similar thoughts going on in her head that he just didn’t know about. “That’s also really sweet, Wyatt. Your dad energy might actually pay off some day.” She gave him a warm smile before eventually shrugging her shoulders. “I don’t know. I used to think I did, but the more time goes on the more I think it might not be for me.”

The shock on Tierney’s face wasn’t hidden, she would have never called that particular friendship, but it wasn’t as if she knew Stef McKibbon personally either, “That is both shocking and good to hear, people contain multitudes I guess. And to be fair to your bestie, I’m only going by his reputation in high school and a little bit of college so I’ll take your word for it.” She nodded, “I like what I do yeah, I’m actually have my first case in court in about a month so I’m ready for that, I’ve been trying since I started working at the firm, but I was still too green until now.” Tier didn’t bat an eye at her drinking, but not caring for reality tv? That was a tough pill to swallow. “Okay first off, I don’t care if alcohol is off of the table,  I bet I could make you a believer in reality tv. Secondly, we all would, honestly the way she moves is damn near supernatural…” She cleared her throat, shaking thoughts of Celeste from the forefront of her mind, which was the best she could do because her wife was never not on her mind in some capacity. “And finally, art is like my secret hobby. I actually painted that one over there a few years ago.” Tierney said and pointed at a painting near their reading nook, “So I am absolutely into doing something like that.” Tier finished then handed Amelie’s phone back to her. 

“I know he was a bit of a dick before. Probably still is sometimes. But he’s been a really great friend to me since I started getting to know him, and I defintely think he’s a different version of himself now. Plus, I’d hate for anyone to judge me for what I was like in high school, so I can’t really put that on him.” Amelie spoke more honestly than defensively, like she had been out of instinct moments ago. “That’s really great, Tierney. You must be doing all the right things if it’s finally happening.” She smirked out of amusement as Tierney responded. “I’ll give it a chance, but only for you. But please, no Love Island. That’s my only condition.” Her brows shot up in surprise. “Really? Tierney, that’s amazing.” Her eyes turned to the direction Tierney pointed in, her eyes immediately lighting up at the sight of the painting. “I’ve always wanted to learn how to paint, but I’m pretty sure I would suck at it. I think some of us were only permitted one half-assed talent, and then there’s others out here being lawyers and talented artists. The world is fair.” She laughed again. “But let’s lock the art date in.”

“Could be, or game recognize game because like I said, I’m the same way.” Tierney thought for a moment, “Or shit, maybe it is resting bitch face, I’ve been told I have that too. Hmm…Stef, the only Stef I know if Rosewood would be McKibbon and I’m assuming you’re not talking about him.” She and Celeste must have really missed a lot when they weren’t as planted in Rosewood because there were now people in town she didn’t know when her wife was the president of other people’s business? That was humbling. “Right? I pivoted to law because at some point I got fed up with politics and somehow end up specializing in political law as a lawyer. I was doomed to not be able to escape I guess.” Tier smiled back at here, “Good, give me your phone I put my number in. What do you like to do for fun? I’m flexible. Like just as happy pigging out on a couch, drinking wine and watching reality tv as I am trying to keep up shaking my ass with my wife and her crew on a bar.”

“No, that’s him. He’s actually a really sweet guy. It kind of surprised me too.” Amelie spoke casually while forcing away the smile that had appeared on her face. She almost resented the soft spot she had for him now. “Seems like a better balance. Just as much hard work though. God knows me as a teenager wouldn’t have been able to get the grades to get in to something like that. It’s amazing that you did, really.” She instantly pulled her phone out of her pocket, unlocking it handing it to her with a warm smile. “I hate to break it to you, but I’m probably not the best company for either of those things. I don’t drink and I’m on the fence about reality TV. And let’s be honest, I would never be able to keep up with Celeste. I’d probably embarrass myself trying.” Amelie wasn’t sure what to say considering most of her free time was spent alone, reading, writing, or putting on a mask for the sake of teaching the bad guys around town a lesson. “Most of the time I like to read, but I normally watch a lot of movies with my friends. I mean, they’re all a little bit like Wyatt, really nerdy in the best possible way. But there’s a new art instillation at the gallery that I’ve been wanting to see. Some guy from Japan I think. Would you be into doing something like that?”

“You say that but I’m on to you. I feel sorry for the person who gets on your bad side. You look you’d make someone cry if you tore into them. Respect because honestly? Same.” Tier wasn’t all that removed from her selfish early twenties, as she was pretty sure mid to late 20s was also socially acceptable to be pretty selfish, but her path was what it was and she was very happy about it. “Most excited…wow that’s really hard. Celeste is going to be all over the showers and celebration and all of that, but I think I just can’t wait to meet them and raise them to be a good person but at the same time see what kind of person they naturally bloom into. Like will they be talkative or more reserved? What kind of sense of humor will they have, what are their favorite things.” She shook her head, “I never thought I’d be gearing up to be someone’s mom. My life goal was to be a power lesbian in government, family was not on my mind until I met Cel.” Tier took another look at Amelie, “You know I like you, in more than just a girlfriend of a friend way. We should hang out more.” 

Amelie was caught off guard by the assumption, and she almost felt paranoid about it, as if Tierney was on to her even though there was no way for that to be true. “It’s probably a ‘resting bitch face’ thing. I’m honestly not like that towards anyone but maybe my little brother when we were younger. Or Stef when he’s getting on my nerves. Stef being my best friend if you didn’t know.” She tried to laugh it off and move on to something else. “I think it would be a huge shock to everyone if your child with Celeste was reserved of all things.” She smiled, this time meaning it a little more. “I guess you figured out a way to do both, huh? It’s nice to know that’s possible.” She furrowed her brows slightly, her grin still lingering, although slightly more bashful than before. “You too, Tierney. I’d love to. And not just because it would make Wyatt smile like an idiot if he knew I was hanging out you with you on our own.”

“Oh, am I not?” His eyebrows rose in wonder. “Why didn’t anyone tell me it was that simple? Just… don’t be embarrassed around you. I’ll give it a shot.” His tone was playful and he gave her hand a squeeze before he let go of it if favor of feeding them. “You? The writer? Bad at names? Something doesn’t fit in there… You think so, too? Okay, if you see Tierney again soon please feel free to back me up and double down on the name Wyatt. I don’t think they’ll fold but it’s worth a try.” He took a big bite of pasta, smiling as he chewed. “I hope it’s screaming ‘good with kids’ in an irresistibly sexy way? I’ve been told before that I give off dad energy but I think that’s more to do with my inability to tell a decent joke.”

“Right? I should have said something at the start. Probably would have made the whole ‘falling in love’ thing a bit easier.” She playfully wrinkled her nose at him. “I know, I know. I like when names having meaning behind them but I’ve never really looked into it much. Some of my friends in high school had a whole list of names reserved for when they had kids, but I can’t say I ever did. But fine, I’ll back you up. They’ll know I’m full of shit if I say anything but you’re right, it’s worth a try. They could only hope that baby Wyatt ends up being just as perfect as his namesake.” Amelie finally took some pasta for herself, clearly enjoying every bite and muttering out a few compliments in between. “Obviously. It’s always sweet when someone can get on well with kids. Do you think you’ll want to have some of your own one day?”

“I know I know, it’s cool you can relax.” Tierney put a calming hand on top of Amelie’s for a moment, “I’m not easy to offend anyway so if you ever do try to insult me you’ll need to come much harder than that.” Tierney bit her bottom lip briefly trying to stave off a smile that threatened to adorn her lips hearing that figuring out if she wanted kids included consideration of Wyatt, something that spoke volumes. “There’s no real timeline on things like that and so many avenues to be a mother if you choose to so you’ll figure it out when you figure it out. Good to know, he’ll be our first call for babysitting then.” 

“Well, I’m not someone who likes to insult people so hopefully we should be in the clear.” Amelie respected what Tierney had to say and even if she didn’t know it, she took her advice to heart. Her life constantly seemed like a puzzle she was figuring out after losing some of the pieces, but still, she was trying. “Yeah, I guess it’s hard to think about when I’m still in my selfish, early-twenties phase. But I figure I should work out what I’m doing in the present before I start thinking about the future. You know he’d jump at the chance to, and the same goes for me. What part are you most excited about?”

Tierney picked up that Amelie was reserved, she’d gotten the impression from Wyatt reading between the lines, but she came to the conclusion in person. Amelie could be whatever she wanted to be as far as Tierney was concerned, as long as Wyatt was happy and she treated him well. Celeste was the warm one out of the two of them, Tier was more of the hawk, and because she’d been walked all over in most of her past relationships she was on high alert for those particular signs. She chuckled, “At this point I just have to take these sorts of things on the chin, it wasn’t even an insult so why. She nodded, "That’s valid, I think most people think that when they’re little at least, we’re kind of socialized to want it I think. Nuclear family and all of that heteronormative bs.”

“Oh, it wasn’t an insult at all. There’s literally nothing embarrassing about being proud of your partner.” She nodded in agreement. “Pretty much. But the more time goes on, the less I think I’m cut out for motherhood. I’m still figuring out how to look after myself, you know? But maybe that’ll change one day. I’m sure Wyatt wants kids so that’s something to think about as well. He’s so adorable with Charlotte it almost makes me change my mind about the entire thing.”

“I wanted to do something romantic for you. It’s a lot less romantic when your boyfriend says ‘I want to cook for you but can you help me not burn toast?’ don’t you think?” He asked with a soft laugh. He was comfortable enough with Amelie to not feel embarrassed by the whole situation the way he would have been a year ago. “Buy baby, when you’re right you’re right.” He pressed a kiss to her forehead. “I’ll swallow my pride next time and ask for help.” He pulled two plates out of the cabinet and served up the pasta. “I wouldn’t be too sure about that. Doesn’t he have people that do that for him?” He took the seat next to her and raised his own glass of wine to clink against hers. Moments like this he felt like an adult in the weirdest way. “Did you come up with anything good? I’m pushing for Wyatt, myself. It’s gender neutral and maybe the coolest name that’s ever existed. Oh, I can’t imagine taking it on as a parent. I have my plate full enough as a big brother most of the time. But the cool comic mogul uncle? That I can do. And I have recent babysitting experience thanks to Charlotte so I think I’m going to get the top spot when they need a date night. That kid’s gonna love me.”

“Yeah, but it’s the intention behind it that makes it romantic. You’re actually not allowed to feel embarrassed around me anymore too.” She was grateful for the affection, smiling softly to herself as he pressed his lips against her forehead and instinctively grabbing hold of his hand until she couldn’t anymore. “Probably. His whole life...” She rolled her eyes at the thought, although she hardly judged him for it anymore. “Not really. I told her I’m probably the least helpful person when it comes to baby names. I’ve never even thought about what I would name my own if I ever had kids. You’re right though, Wyatt is amazing name. That kid would be set up for greatness if he was named after you.” She playfully scrunched her nose up at him. “Well, at least you’ll know what to do if they ever ask you to babysit. Which I’m sure they will eventually. Everything about you screams ‘good with kids’ anyways.”

“Yeah, probably for the best, but it’s a lot like when I talk to someone about Celeste so have fun with that knowledge, I don’t have to tell you what kind of sweetheart that boy is.” She nodded, “Yeah, it outweighs it by a lot so no guilt about it, just being honest. I don’t know how I became the person who gets here this fast, but I don’t know, it really is one of those when you know you know things. I felt it when I met Cel, when I married her, so I think I’m on the right track. You’re more of a take things as they come person then? My brother is like that.”

“I don’t know, the idea of anyone gushing over me makes me cringe...” She raised her hands to her forehead, chuckling it all off. “But I’m probably just as bad at times, so I get it.” It was probably more private than what Wyatt did, but the thoughts Amelie often had towards Wyatt were nothing short of infatuation. “Defintely. I don’t think anyone would argue that you guys are pretty much made for each other. You guys are like the epitome of all of the corny romantic poetry I’m always reading.” She shrugged. “A little bit, yeah. I used to think I wanted to grow up and get married, have a bunch of kids. But now that I’m older I’m not really sure it’s for me.”

“That’s good to know, especially considering he talks about you just as much.” She smiled fondly, making a mental note to facetime her twin later that day, suddenly missing him, “The dynamic duo.” Tierney chuckled, “He never mentioned that part huh? Probably being overly cautious just in case it was a secret. Love that boy, but it’s not a secret but it is exciting and very fucking terrifying in the best way honestly. See I’ve heard that, but I’ve also heard of a lot of people who picked before, I don’t know, maybe I’ll just table this and come back around to it.” 

“Oh, god. I don’t even want to know.” Amelie squeezed her eyes shut momentarily in a way of cringing, although her grin indicated that it was all harmless. “Probably. I feel like being scared is a natural reaction to that sort of thing. So long as you’re more excited than terrified, that’s all that really matters.” She nodded in agreement. “I can just imagine getting overwhelmed looking at all of the books and lists... but honestly, I’ve never been there myself. I’ve never really thought about baby names or kids in general. It’s always been a problem for future me to figure out.”

“So Wyatt talks about me huh? Good things I hope, but yes I do, my twin. His name is Preston, much easier to find of a gift shop license plate.” She smirked, “I don’t know, you look like you fit with your name just fine from this end. My wife and I are trying hopefully our trying turns into a mission accomplished sooner rather than later, so the goal is to need a name asap.”

“Of course he does. It’s no secret that you and Celeste are pretty much his favorite people ever. Preston and Tierney, though... I see it.” Her brows raised at her explanation. “Wow, that’s so exciting. I always thought it would be hard to pick a baby name before you actually see who they are, but I guess I wouldn’t really know.”
