Commission. Done with Paint Tool Sai.
Female figure done years ago using Paint Tool Sai
Drawing inspired by Neeko from League of Legends
I like the idea that we can be as good at drawing as the last great drawing we made. Practice makes perfect, and this painting is my starting point.
I'm going to use this abandoned blog to share my journey of falling in love with the process, of being a little fairer to myself, and allowing myself to enjoy not being the best at something.
This drawing represents the last time I surprised myself because I had no expectations and I think something nice came out.
I was just trying to do something with a color palette I saw in someone else's drawing, and that I would have liked.
Made with Paint Tool SAI.
Cold porcelain Paimon from Genshin Impact.
This is another craft I'm mid at, but I don't care 'cause I do it for fun.
Painitng based on a photo, circa 2019, using Paint tool SAI.
This drawing was the catalyst for me to realize that the easiest way to transition from traditional drawing to digital painting was to buy a tablet with a screen. Many people say it's not necessary, but it made perfect sense to me, since I never quite got used to drawing while looking at a computer monitor. I felt that this disconnection between my hands and my eyes was hindering my ability to transition from traditional to digital drawing.
It was here that I more or less stopped trying to draw with the Wacom One I had, until I bought the Kamvas 13 (several years of inactivity passed in between).
As you may see in my previous posts, my traditional drawing skills were way further my digital attempts.

Widowmaker from Overwatch, drawn traditionally with colored pencils.
Based on a reference image. I remember that the colored pencils I used were so cheap, I went through hell trying to mix them, a very uplifting experience (I bought myself some good pencils right afterwards).
I used to go by Rivka lol.
