@tigressofcsejte wanted some evil beauties
“Elizabeth, how lovely to see you again.“
There’s a bright smile on Zafira’s face, a genuine one too, as the woman walks through her door; the stern edge in her eyes vanishes to be replaced with a warm affection. Ever since she became an Elder she has always felt out of place amongst the other council members. For one, she’s far younger than the majority of them, much more vibrant and youthful in her outlook on life. Also, she doesn’t possess the skills they have, the fluency in violence and the knowledge in war craft. Therefore, she finds she can’t quite bring herself to actually like them (she’s a teen at heart, rebellious with a disdain for the old generation’s before her).
However, she likes Elizabeth Bathory, the prim and proper lady with a pretty face and a tendency for murder. A woman after her own heart. She rises from her chair, hands reaching to smooth her slightly ruffled skirt. “I think I know what brings your lovely presence to my office,” her eyes narrow, a devious smirk finding her peachy lips, “and I do hope you mix some good natured chit chat into this rather…sinister business.”
“You think correctly.”
Without waiting for invitation (their relationship, secret or otherwise, had moved past the usual plastic decorum) Elizabeth shrugs off the Elders’ robes that had been her excuse to visit, pulling up a seat in front of the desk. “But dear Zafira, have I ever let you down? You should know by now that good conversation is a given, regardless of subject matter.”
The smile she’s been holding back creeps across her face, perhaps a little more subdued than the American’s. It did not, however, lack in any humour. “That is, providing you reciprocate…”
It would not, of course, be particularly difficult for her to. Politics is an arduous game to play at best – Elder Zafira Kerias did NOT drone on about facts and figures and dry accusations like her older counterparts and, if she did, it wasn’t with a tenacious joy in they found in driving listeners to sleep. That in itself made her interesting even without the promise of a traitor under that bright smile.
Elizabeth eyes her for a moment, then tilts her head. “You were frowning earlier.” She lifts a finger, gesturing lazily to her brow where a crease had been on Kerias’. “Is our mutual… friend, Ravel the Irish, giving you trouble? Or is it more of an internal matter?”
“You’re the only one who hasn’t let me down yet.”
Zafira sits back down on her seat, leaning back into the cushions and resting an elbow on the armrest. Her bright eyes watch the woman, mouth still curled into a smile now sincere and less murderous. Oh, how she hates this job with its stuffy robes and monotonous formalities. Although now she has pleasant company, the afternoon suddenly looks a little brighter.
That is until the lighthearted mood gets sucked out the room by the mention of that idiotic country and the asshole that runs it. In response to the cursed name, a sigh escapes her lips, accompanied by the roll of her eyes. “More like the bane of my existence, the pain in my ass, but yes, I suppose you could say the Irish are causing me some...difficulty.” It’s an understatement of course. It always puzzled Zafira how such a minuscule country, so irrelevant to the world, could cause so much trouble. Thanks to the Irish and all the trouble they had been stirring, the whole Council had plunged into turmoil, arguing like little children over.
“Elizabeth, you have no idea how badly the Irish have Bisahalani wound up. He drones on and on about ‘crushing’ their Sanctuary. He never shuts up.” The very thought of the idiot ignites an anger within her. For years she has patiently listened to his vicious words without ever seeing any real action. “He doesn’t have the balls to actually do anything about them...It’ll be so much better when I have his job.”

When people argue that Wonder Woman should ‘cover up,’ I don’t quite get it.They say, ‘If she’s smart and strong, she can’t also be sexy.’ That’s not fair. Why can’t she be all of the above?
