so, there’s a good likelihood that i’m probably gonna convert this blog to a xena: warrior princess one soon. i’m not going to delete any of dawn’s old stuff if i do, but if anyone still wants to write with her, she’s over at @ourlegends now!! (:

"A writer is a WORLD trapped in a person.”
contains muses from: the 100, buffy the vampire slayer, the fosters, gilmore girls, girls like girls, harry potter, pretty little liars, once upon a time, scooby doo && teen wolf.
so i’m sure everyone is getting whiplash from how much i’ve moved my muses around by now, but i’m thinking of putting dawn on my general multi? because i have five blogs rn which is one too many for me, and i really wanna keep cordy so... does anyone have any opinion either way?

STILES:
“Werethings are way nicer. Apart from during the full moon.”
“Oh, I know! My sister’s best friend used to date a werewolf - his name was Oz - and he was pretty cool. Well, when he wasn’t all furry and growl-y, anyway.”
BANSHEE:
░░░░░░ ☾ “two others, and they’re both D E A D. so trust me when i say it’s not fun.”
“Oh.” Well, that certainly put a damper on the mood. “But there’s no perks at all? Can’t you, like, save people and stuff?”
BANSHEE:
░░░░░░ ☾ “you ask WAY too many questions. i just… hear voices. in my head. it’s not as fun as you’re probably making it out to be, so don’t get excited.”
“Maybe it’s not fun, but it’s still interesting! I mean, how many people do you know who can do something like THAT?”
shewhosaves:
okay, wow, it’s been a long time since i’ve done a bias list or a follow forever but !! here i am, doin’ this. i don’t have time to do a giveaway or anything, but i really wanted to show a little bit of appreciation for the people who have stuck with me. the first section is people i’m close with and roleplay with on a regular basis and hold really close to my heart; the second is full of people i’d love to get to know better and enjoy reading their content! without further ado.

MOM:
“Of course. But you will give me more than just a day to get potential present won’t you?” Joyce commented as she went to get the car keys. “So shall we or am I getting ahead of myself again?”
“Yeah, Mom - I promise you’ll have AT LEAST two.” she quipped, grinning. Once her mom started to gather her things, Dawn ran off, going to grab her jacket and a bit of allowance from her room. “Nah, you’re not! You can go out to the car now if you want; I’ll be there in a sec.”
FAITH:
❝B and Spike?❞ Faith is only mildly surprised. She’d thought something had been going on between them back in Sunny-D. No wonder Angel had been extra broody lately. ❝Actually that makes a lot of sense. Good for them.❞
She rummages in her jacket pocket for the scrap of paper she’d scribbled on. On it is a poorly drawn symbol. Lots of swirls and spirals that may or may not be snakes.
❝I have this. Unfortunately I don’t have Angel’s skill with a pencil, but it’s the best I could do. Found it on a body. Nineteen year old girl… I guess they were done with her.❞
“Yeah, they’ve been a thing for a while now.” she adds, pleasantly surprised by Faith’s reaction. “I’ll make sure to pass your stamp of approval along.” Dawn quickly pushes the matter of her sister and Spike to the side, though, instead focusing on the symbol held out for her to inspect. The knowledge that it was found on someone so close to her own age makes Dawn a little sick to her stomach, but at least she’s used to the feeling by now. “That seems familiar, but... I can’t quite place it. Guess we’re gonna have to hit the books, then - just like the good old days, huh?”
BOSSYPANTS BUFFY:
“It’s not that we don’t take you seriously Dawn. It’s that you’re a walking disaster magnet.” she said. “We tell you not to do something. You do it. Then I have to rescue you! And even if we factor out the thirteen years where the monks made up all my memories of you, you get in trouble more than Xander.”
“Yeah, well, Xander doesn’t have a neon sign saying ‘kidnap me, I’m the Slayer’s sister!’ hanging over his head at all times!” she bites back. Sure, sometimes Dawn got into normal trouble on her own; but that was just classic teenager stuff. The serious things were rarely supernatural-free. “Did you ever think that maybe YOU’RE the walking disaster magnet, not me? No demons would even care about me if I wasn’t with you!”
ANYA:
“A dumb rule — that’s what it is! Whatever! If he had to choose between his fake sister or his girlfriend, I think we all know who he would pick. Well, I caught you cheating that one time!”
“Who would pick a girlfriend over a sister? That’s dumb. - --Sure, like I’ve never seen you take any extra money for yourself when you played the banker before, Anya.”
SPIKE:
“Thankfully it looks like you haven’t left any for anyone else to try,” he smirked, leaning back against the couch cushions. “Where on earth did you even buy mint frosting anyway?”
“Why not?” she answered through a mouthful of mint frosting-pizza, shrugging halfheartedly. Honestly, that was Dawn’s motivation for a VAST MAJORITY of her odd food concoctions - why not do it? “I thought it could taste good with something, so I got it.”
TARA:
Wrapping her arms around Dawn in the same instinctive way that the younger girl had done to her, Tara honestly had no idea what to say. Finding out that Dawn, and all the memories associated with her, were something the monks had done to them had been…it defied explanation. But even so, the fact remained that the girl she was holding was still like a daughter to her, and she could see nothing that would make those feelings disappear. The monks might have had a hand in them, but the rest, it was all something that Tara herself felt.
“Ssshhh…” Gently cooing, Tara carefully placed her hand on Dawn’s upper back, hoping it wouldn’t startle her. “…D-Dawn…sweetie…it’s ok…you’re s-still you…that’s why we still l-love you…”
“But who am I? I’m not real; I’m an ancient glowy ball of light, not a person!” Not that she had really even wrapped her head around that, but it was what she was, wasn’t she? That was what she’d read herself, what EVERYONE had been keeping from her for who knows how long - everyone but Spike knew. Did that include Tara? “Did - did you know?” she asked, her tone turning practically accusatory, though she still clung to the woman with all she had.
FAITH:
“Pft, you’re still a bean-pole though Junior.” Faith shot back, holding back a smile though her dimples gave her away. Then she picked up a few of Dawn’s bags and gestured with her head for her to follow. She led the way out to the parking lot with sure steps, side-stepping other pedestrians and trading insults almost cheerfully after near collisions. Her Boston accent was stronger than it had been in Sunnydale, but still blended with a strange West coast lilt that cropped up every now and then after years on that side of the country. But most of all she seemed almost at peace, settled in a way no one from back then had ever seen her.
Smirking and lifting up the remainder of her bags - basically all the lighter ones, she couldn’t help but note - Dawn was quick to follow after the shorter woman. Lingering behind Faith, she grinned at the sight of the Slayer acting - well, just as she remembered her to be, basically. After a few years of spending a majority of her time with stuff old watchers in England, the sight was oddly comforting. Only once they passed a majority of airport crowds did she bother catching up, silently thanking her long legs for being able to keep up with Faith’s quick stride. “So -- do you have a car, or are we being classic New Yorkers and taking the train?”
