Kol had problems with his impulse control since he could remember. Since before he had turned. But it grew worse when his mother cursed his siblings with immortal life. A twisted perversion of her love for them. Ever since Kol was just angry and he took it out on everyone. He was a monster and so acted as such. Kol was mad at his miserable life and how it turned out. His rage with tied to his lust for blood and being always furious, was his downfall. It made him the reckless one. The maniac of the Mikaelson’s. And he reviled in such a title. But he wanted to be better now. A changed man. He always admired his big brother Elijah, and Elijah had believed he could get better so that was enough for him. Kol has made many mistakes but he has little regrets. His biggest? Not trying hard enough when it came to maintaining his relationship with two people. Henrik and Hazel. His little brother and the woman he used to love, and probably always will deep down.
For Christ sake too, Kol shouldn’t shake off the fact it had gotten so bad he’d killed the woman he loved. So he ran from the hurt. He had to stop running though. He had run for years from the wrath of his father but no longer would he run from his problems. He got clean. It took him a while. He’d caused a big fuss in Europe where he’d been staying before returning to the States along with what he deserved. That control back. So he did his best to track down his brother and Hazel. Tracking down witches was what he did. He knew making amends wouldn’t be easy but he’d lost his brother once and killed Hazel and turned his back on her once as well, he wouldn’t do it for the rest of his life. Knocking on the door of the address he’d found, he waited. He mostly hoped to see his brother first. Get that out of the way. Nervous? Kol Mikaelson? He didn’t get nerves but he was certainly slightly unsettled. Facing Hazel now, it just hit him how long it had been. He hadn’t remembered. Time flew by for him like it always had. “Got a moment to chat?” He raised his eyebrow, spoken with that cheeky charm he’d always had as he just raises two bottles of vintage and expensive wine. This isn’t a plan to win her back. Get her to fall in love with him again but to maybe press reset or even play on a relationship that had been on pause. “Seems like everyone’s around. Saw Chester in town earlier. He seems to be doing well.” // @littlexmissbadass
