shit memory who dis
*punches him* whoops my bad that was an accident
‘ ow. ‘
jensen cannot feel with his robot limbs, he can feel at the point where it’s connected to his nerves ( like on his shoulder or thigh ) but even then it’s more of a dull and tingly feeling
| ⚙ | “Gggghh…”
Genos gritted his teeth, trying to ignore the pain. Soon, though, it was over, for which he was grateful. He tested his arm, flexing his fingers and the elbow and wrist joints. Everything seemed to work correctly.
“Ah… good. Thank you very much.”
as genos moved the arm to test its movements, jenny couldn’t help but look at the arm himself, making sure that he really did do a good job. it didn’t seem like there were any mistakes, and for that he felt both relieved and proud.
‘ welcome. i don’t get to work with cybernetics often. did it hurt too much? ‘
| ⚙ | “H-haaaa! Y-yeah… okay…”
It was like someone was pinching his nerves really hard. He didn’t like it one bit, but it had to be done. Jenny was gentle- Gentle Jenny. Hm… still, Genos groaned, covering his mouth with his good hand.
would it be easier to do this as quickly as possible? or try to go slow and steady? something like this wasn’t the same as a band-aid, but the slower he was, the longer the other would be in pain. jenny voted on being quick- trying to connect the wires as swiftly ( and efficiently ) as possible before popping the shoulder back into place.
‘ there. ‘
| ⚙ | “A-ah… yeah, it’s gonna hurt. I can turn off the sensitivity in my plates, but not my wires. But, I will try not to make a show of it.”
Genos gulped- he was usually doing this himself, or unconscious while Dr. Kuseno did it. Hesitantly, he handed Jenny his arm.
‘ you don’t have to hide it. i wanted to know before i did anything. ‘
he was obviously going to be gentle when re-attaching the arm, but now he was going to be a bit more conscious of it. jensen took the arm, standing over genos’ shoulder, working on it as cautiously as possible.
| ⚙ | “Ah… yeah, right.”
That seemed too obvious. Genos looked at Jenny’s leg, nodding. He didn’t ask how it happened, because he assumed it was personal, and an accident, just like what had happened to him. He moved further into the apartment and sat down in a computer chair.
“Can you fix this? It’s just a few simple wires.”
he rolled his pant let back down, moving to grab his tools once genos sat down and made himself comfortable. since it was just simple wiring, he didn’t need to grab the entire toolkit- only grabbing wire cutters and tweezers and making his way back over to the other.
jensen nodded, ‘ yeah. there aren’t too many wires either... when i re-attatch them, will it hurt? ‘
| ⚙ | “Hm. What kind of demographic do you make limbs for? Also, are any other parts of you cybernetic other than your arm?”
Genos followed Jenny inside after taking his shoes off. It was a smallish apartment, reminding him of his own and Saitama’s. Home-y.
‘ people who are missing limbs. ‘ that was a pretty wide demographic. ‘ other parts? yeah, my leg. ‘ he rolled up his pants a little bit more, showing off the metal limb. ‘ ones i make.. aren’t cybernetic. ‘ they were more of a placeholder, if anything.
the apartment was somewhat small, and not too messy- though half of the technology in his home was clearly messed with, and the other half was taken apart, neatly placed into categories for him to fix later.
i’m practically on autopilot right now... aaaah, i’m so sleepy
| ⚙ | “Ah… I see. Sometimes, Dr. Kuseno uses a 3D printer to make some odds and ends for me.”
He nodded, silently following the other to his apartment, oddly holding his own arm with the other.
‘ if a piece is too big i, ‘ he made a vague hand motion, ‘ i just cut it smaller. ‘
once they arrived at the base of his apartment, jensen pointed as if to say they arrived without actually saying it out loud. he opened the door and motioned for genos to get inside.
“Well, Jensen! Let me help you- I pinky promise I won’t let you fall or anything.”
He knelt down and placed both hands of his on Jensen’s legs, and before the other boy could protest, he lifted him in the air, with what little strength he had in him. God- he was already panting. He needed to work out.
“Look! It’s not that hard, is it?”
‘ alright... ‘
jensen was already about to get on the ground in an attempt to push himself up, but jams beat him to the punch- pushing him up into the air before he even realized. pushing himself off the ground on his hands was pretty easy, though his legs did swing somewhat, making balancing a bit harder. he wasn’t wearing a skirt, but his pant legs did rise a little.
‘ my leg is kind of heavy. ‘
| ⚙ | “I see… do you have a 3D printer or something of the sort? That’s kind of cool.”
It was. Genos looked back down at his own arm awkwardly before tucking it under his working one, clearing his throat.
“Should… we go to your place, then?”
‘ 3d printer? no. i make them out of spare parts. i can fix things, too. ‘
jensen nodded, turning around and waving a hand as a symbol for genos to follow him.
‘ yeah. it’s not too far. ‘
| ⚙ | “You do? Ah… that could be nice. Thank you.”
Genos nodded, holding out his detached arm for Jenny to shake. He thought it was funny, the cheeky asshole.
‘ yeah. i make limbs in my apartment. ‘
it wasn’t stated, but it was implied that they would have to walk back to his place. seeing the detached arm hanging out in front of him, jensen simply stared at it. jokes were not his strong point.
“Do you wanna see it? It’s super easy!” He doesn’t even have time to answer- Jams is already getting down and positioning himself. When his legs are up in the air his skirt falls and hits his face, but only for a second, because he’s flipping himself back into normal position with his hands in the air- he’s so proud of himself.
“Then let’s introduce each other so then we know one another! I’m Jams.”
he was ready to nod and reply- seeing a handstand sounded pretty interesting, maybe he’d be able to learn how to do one too. but the other was too quick for him, already on the ground with his legs in the air. as that happened, jensen crouched onto the ground, watching to see how jams was balancing. once it was over, he stood up as well. that might be a bit harder with his leg- it wasn’t too much heavier, but it might be a problem when staying upright.
‘ i’m jensen. ‘
| ⚙ | “I know. That’s why it’s shortened.”
He kept hold of his arm, lightly waving it around a bit.
“No… I need a few tools. The wires are disconnected. Even if I wanted to, I wouldn’t be able to move it with it detached like this.”
‘ i see. ‘
that made sense. jensen moved a little, looking at genos’ shoulder and the arm. if it was just a few wires, it shouldn’t be too much of a problem.
‘ i have tools that could work. ‘
| ⚙ | “Jenny-kun will be fine. Ah… Genos is- well, short for genocide, sort of. Since I survived one.”
He shifted uncomfortably, though he took the arm back, looking at it uselessly- he’d need his own tools to reattach it.
“Thank you. Dr. Kuseno is an amazing man. He saved my life.”
‘ that’s not really a name. ‘
to each his own- jensen wasn’t really one to judge. he watched as genos didn’t re-attach the arm to his shoulder, tilting his head slightly.
‘ i tthink... i know what you mean. ‘ a pause. ‘ can you put it back on? ‘
“What about your hands? I can do that! It’s really easy. Wh- then why did you ask that?”
‘ a handstand? i can’t do one of those. why? i was just checking. ‘
