Sometimes your heart needs more time to accept what your mind already knows.

Study me as much as you like, you will never know me, for I differ a hundred ways from what you see me to be. Put yourself behind my eyes, and see me as I see myself, for I have chosen to dwell in a place you cannot see.
Rumi (via moon-quotes)
Little do they know that our love for Imam Hussain (as) is eternal.
Be alone. Eat alone, take yourself on dates, sleep alone. In the midst of this you will learn about yourself. You will grow, you will figure out what inspires you, you will curate your own dreams, your own beliefs, your own stunning clarity, and when you do meet the person who makes your cells dance, you will be sure of it, because you are sure of yourself.
Bianca Sparacino (via wordsnquotes)
Listen a hundred times; ponder a thousand times; speak once.
Turkish Proverb (via wordsnquotes)
Whenever God wills to abandon man, He will let him commit a sin, and then give him a blessing. This will make him forget that he has committed a sin and He will not seek God’s forgiveness. This is what is meant by God gradually abandoning them.
Imam Jaffar Sadiq (a.s.)

Raising money to help Muslim Hands
This Ramadan I will be walking 5km whilst fasting, in order to raise funds for life-saving food and medical care for the families affected by famine in Africa.
As we abstain from food and water during Ramadan, most of us will experience only a very small fraction of what people affected by famines such as this go through on a daily basis. If we think 18 hours a day is difficult, try to imagine a lifetime of this type of survival.
Please spare as little, or as much, as you possibly can, to have a share in assisting young children and their families. Remember; you are not only fulfilling an obligation both morally and spiritually, but you are also DIRECTLY investing in your own afterlife.
“Poverty is one of the most horrible calamities, but still severer than poverty is the bodily sickness; and the sickness of soul is harsher than the bodily sickness. Plenty of wealth is one of God’s blessings but sound health is better than that; and the piety of the heart is even superior than sound health.”

Every other creature on the planet is doing its best. Only human beings hesitate about that.

They tried to bury us, they didn’t know we were seeds.

You always get tested the most before you progress to the next level.

A Shia
A Shia is never scared to listen to any speaker from any religion, because a Shia knows a) there is no harm in gaining more knowledge, and b) we are not scared (threatened) to listen to anything you have to say. A school that is scared of listening to another lecturer from another school is one that believes it is a shaky school. So they don’t want to go and listen to anyone else (as to not rock their fragile foundation).
