ʿUmar b. al-Khaṭṭāb would say, “A man should be [playful] like a young boy with his wife, but when it is required of him, he is proven to be a man.”¹

Al-Hasan Al-Basri said:

The believer strives to do acts of worship and righteous deeds when he is concerned, worried and afraid, whereas the evildoer commits sins yet still feels safe from the punishment of Allah."

(Tafsir Ibn Kathir 3/451)

The meaning of beauty in short is: طيبة النفس، واحترام الذات، ونقاء القلب. The goodness of a soul, self respect, and purity of the heart."

If Allah wants to grant you something, He will cause to come to you those you would never have imagined, so that you may know that Allah ordains what He wills!

‣ Recite Surah al Kahf

‣ Send blessings upon the beloved Prophet ﷺ

‣ Perform Ghusl.

‣ Dress well and apply perfume.

‣ Proceed to the mosque early.

‣ Sit closer to the Imam. Listen attentively to the Friday sermon.

‣ Make du'a in the last hour (i.e., after Asr, remember the oppressed Ummah in your supplications)

Fir'awn's wife decided to change while she was under an evil tyrant, and Nūh's son decided not to change while he was under a great prophet. The decision is yours, so do not make excuses that your situation doesn't allow change.

I know being a Muslim is difficult everywhere in the world. But I believe it’s even harder in North America. Can I pray to leave these lands and live on Muslim lands?

Certainly, this is better, but if you find a suitable opportunity in a Muslim country where you can live peacefully, then it is best for a Muslim to immigrate to that Muslim country. If things are easy for you, I advise you to go to Qatar or Malaysia if you find a job there or elsewhere. But if you have options and freedom of choice, both countries are suitable for a good life.

Ibn ‘Uyaynah said : Do you not know that Allah, may He be exalted, says:

“If My slave focuses on praising Me and that distracts him from asking Me for what he needs, I will give him the best of what I give to those who ask of Me.”

al-Mufhim (7/56-57).

If you want to do big things in life, you have to learn how to pray. Because some doors won't open with hustle, only with humility. Some mountains won't move with effort, only with du'a'. Prayer isn't just part of the process, it is the power behind it.

Shaykh Ibn `Uthaymin (may Allah have mercy on him) said:

Sincerity to Allah in worship means that nothing motivates the individual to do acts of worship except love of Allah, may He be Exalted, veneration of Him and hope for His reward and good pleasure.

I feel lonely at times and again. I'm working toward the betterment for my deen and duniya alhamdulillah. But the loneliness creeps in and I don't know how to deal with that. My parents have been looking for a proposal but it's not working out. Any advice would be helpful.

Feelings of loneliness can be difficult and harsh at times, but a Muslim always knows that Allah is with him. If he prays, he is talking to Allah, and if he reads the Qur’an, he is with Allah and His words. He tries at every moment to be near Allah, and this does not prevent him from trying to have companions who help him in religion and in this world.

Marriage is a rizq from Allah ; if it is destined for you, it will come to you at the right time. Always ask Allah and make dua to grant you a righteous spouse and a blessed life. Try to broaden your social circles; perhaps this will lead you to someone who might be suitable for you.
