The World Map of Social Networks created by Vincenza Cosenza has been updated for June 2013.

It shows Facebook is now the dominant social network in 127 out of 137 countries. No surprises there then!

The graph certainly shows how well Facebook has concentrated in improving its user base in 5 out of top 7 most populous & largest countries in the world except China and Russia where the regional Social networks are dominating. China is country with lot of internet restrictions and cyber law enforcements where the regional companies dominate both on Search (Baidu) and Social Front (Qzone by Tencent).

Hike's Mood Graph

India's answer to Whatsapp, Hike a social messaging app for smartphone users which currently has a user base of 5 million has released a "mood graph" which shows the mood of people in different India based on the usage of "Moods" option on the app which was launched in April 2013.

Here is the "Mood Graphics" like how hike would like to call it.

I am a Bangalorean and I believe that we are definitely addicted to Coffee than people from elsewhere in India. I reside in Chennai from the past two years and please do mark my words "No one works harder than people of Chennai or Tamil Nadu" in India.

If you have not yet downloaded Hike, Download it now. Hike has lot of cool features like Free SMS throughout India, and some cool stickers to go with. Hope they overcome WhatsApp one day.

These are the generic TLDs (gTLDs) which Google has requested ICANN (International Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers) to own them. The company which owns the gTLDs may not necessarily open it for public access. They can use it for internal purpose. In this case google might restrict the domain registration under these gTLDs if they own them with in Google properties or else might open it for public registration.

Google has also requested access to some of the gTLDs in its own property names such as .youtube, .google, .nexus etc., which Google might keep it for use with in Google properties.

Facebook is currently testing a reply feature for already existing comments for posts on Facebook pages. Hope the same feature comes to posts on Facebook profiles as well. It couldn't be even noticed in posts on some of the pages. Probably it might be in beta and will be available soon for posts on both profiles and pages I think.
