The Owl House meant so much to me. It came out when I was an awkward 14 yr old and felt so alone. I hyper fixated on Percy Jackson, and spent my free time reading or panicking because I didn’t know how to talk to people. I found the Owl House through tiktok edits and became interested because the main character was a neurodivergent, bisexual, Latina. Same as me. Suddenly I wasn’t alone. Me and my sister would watch it as a sort of way to cope. Our parents were fighting a lot, we just moved again (to a place where last time we were their our grandmother who helped raise us was alive), and our father was slowly dying we would turn on the show and everything would go away. I imagined life in the boiling isles where I would be in the bad girl coven and defeat a big bad. Luckily things started to look up. I got older things got better and I found my own group of weirdos and I’m so grateful I had it in my life. Thank you to the Owl House crew.
