Belize: 46 MORE POSITIVE COVID19 PATIENTS On Friday, October 16 the Ministry of Health reported that out of 180 samples 46 returned positive. They also reported 2 additional deaths, both males, one from the northern districts and one from the Belize district. The breakdown of new cases are as follows: Corozal District: 1 Orange Walk District: 25 Belize District: 13 Cayo District: 7 In a press conference held today the Prime Minister made special mention that the people of Belize must continue to abide by the preventative measures which include wearing a mask to cover your nose and mouth, and standing 6 feet apart when in public. It is the only way to decrease rate of infection.

Belize celebrates their achievements for the LGBT+ community each year in August. This year UniBAM, Belize Trans Colors, Empower Yourself Belize Movement and PETAL, with funding from the COC, have joined forces to provide a safe space for LGBT+ individuals to celebrate their PRIDE. This one of a kind event will be held in San Ignacio Town, it will feature a drag race competition by local transpersons.

Entrance is FREE of cost, food and drinks will be on sale and the party begins at 5pm until midnight.

Belize Detects Two New Covid-19 Cases

The Government of Belize has announced a change in price for regular gasoline to take effect at midnight. These are the new pump prices for fuel in Belize

Belize identified a new case of covid-19 from a batch of 119 samples which were tested yesterday, 16 July 2020. The person who tested positive is a woman that returned to Belize via the repatriation process. The person has been placed under quarantine at home and is not exhibiting any signs or symptoms.
