I'm v sorry if you've been asked this before, but I just saw the piece you made of Ground and opal genes in the fr tags and I just gotta ask... How do you get your opal textures/colors so spot on?? The flash/luster is unbelievable!

Also, what brushes do you use?

Thank you! Mostly just looking at tons of video and image references of big, chunky, raw opals and rocks. I was never really happy about the way the opal looked in my art tho. I never got that feel that I got from the references. I will try again someday when inspiration strikes anew. I love pretty rocks. I wanna have that vibe in my art.

And here's my go to brushes, I've had just about the same settings for years. Left for mostly sketching, right for just about everything else.

Do you perchance accept nocturne eggs as payment for art? I was thinkin' about savin' a bunch for a commission now that notn is almost there 🌙

I've been thinking a bit about this, and I think I might. :o

Though I think I'd want to use a different artstyle. Something a little bit more simple, fun and lose.

Something along the lines of these (older) e.gs perhaps. I'm not sure how many eggs would be reasonable to charge for this kind of art though. ^^'
