Her hands clasp together. “ No! No! Don’t take them off, please? They look so cute. “ Her eyes are nearly forced shut when she smiles as the amazon took in the wonderful sight. Rachel and her scowl looking at least 100 times more adorable with twinkling reindeer antlers on her head. Then she gasps and dives back into the bin. “ I’ll even wear these too. “ She says, a little elf hat headband thrust into place making the 7 foot tall woman look a bit goofy if such a thing were even possible. / @amourfeint​ / for rachel xoxoxo

                             her scowl remains a moment more even in the face of diana standing proudly with a ridiculous  elf hat  strapped to her head.   just a moment ,   before it falls apart.   the glare softens to something  bright  within her eyes ,   lips twisting whilst she loses a battle with her grin and giggles spill forth.       ‘    oh my god ,   you look  ridiculous  !   but it hella suits you.   i mean ,   it’s cute.    ’       a moment passes ,   her eyes narrowing.       ‘    .  .  .seriously ,   though—   i need sexy librarian glasses and a shiny red skirt ,   pronto.   the plastics  have nothing on me  !    ’

𝑗𝑎𝑐𝑘‌ ,

Hey, @amourfeint it’s TIME FOR SPOOKS! Are you ready Mathilda?

The carnival was in full swing. The sounds of the rides mixed with the screams of the people having a good time filled the area. None of them ever suspecting that at every moment they were surrounded by demons who were waiting to feast upon them. Typically, Jack would wait within his room or workshop until it was time for the final show to begin, however, it seemed one of the demons had gotten a little impatient and had already attempted to claim one of the humans. Thus, he had to head out a bit early to go and deal with that, but at least he’d likely be getting a new soul to add to his collection. After all it wasn’t like they could actually allow the human to live after what happened. Didn’t want them giving away the surprise too soon.

Eventually he was soon in the backstage of where the final show was to be held where the demon at fault was curled up looking very guilty in it’s cage. The human it had tried to snack on was sitting nearby being guarded by another demon, though this one had at least been smart enough to keep it’s human guise. Jack looked from the demon to the woman, his features ever unchanging as he speaks up. “I apologize for the little one here. It seems he got a bit impatient.” He explains moving to kneel next to the cage where the little demon whined softly. It was still young, so it would be forgiven, this time anyway. Which Jack assured by reaching through the cage bars and patting the little cat-like demon on the head.

(        ♡    .     )                                           𝚎𝚟𝚎𝚛𝚢   𝚋𝚛𝚎𝚊𝚝𝚑   𝚌𝚊𝚖𝚎   𝚒𝚗   𝚜𝚝𝚛𝚊𝚗𝚐𝚕𝚎𝚍   𝚐𝚊𝚜𝚙𝚜.     her throat felt closed ,   chest aching with each attempt.   wide eyes scanned the room over and over ,   blinking rapidly as if it might make her surroundings dissipate into something more familiar.   it didn’t.   mathilda could not fathom what this place might be ,   and what initially inspired her curiosity quickly turned to  terror  when a small ,   feline - esque monster attacked.   her skin still hurt where it grabbed her ,   arm seemingly aflame if she focused too much.   now ,   she could only assume she wound up in some sort of hell.   it served her right ,   she supposed.   yet knowing so did not lessen the fear  clawing  at her chest and racing up her spine.

                            approaching footsteps captured her attention ,   loud as every other sound echoing in vigilant ears.   mathilda’s head whipped up from where it previously rested upon her knees.   a man walked in.   he looked normal ,   but something felt  off ,   regardless.   perhaps mathilda’s fear made it so ,   but he spoke so casually to the creature responsible for her attack.   that said otherwise.   she swallowed hard ,   and palms quickly found the ground.   ready to scramble away ,   if he came closer.     “   impatient  ?   ”     she breathed out ,   more incredulous by the second.     “   that—   that  thing  attacked me  !   what could he possibly be impatient for  ?!   ”     despite her best efforts ,   her voice shook ,   cracking more than it ought.     “   i have no idea how i came to your establishment ,   but i want no part of it  !   please,  just let me go.   ”

quite  like  godbrand  ,   she  thinks  with  a  shudder  .   it  was  dark  in  the  dungeon  ,   she  was  cold  ,   then  .    ❝    is  there  no  hope  for  me  ,   regardless  ?    ❞

(        ♡    .     )                                             𝙰   𝙳𝙴𝙻𝙸𝙲𝙰𝚃𝙴𝙻𝚈   𝚂𝙷𝙰𝙿𝙴𝙳   𝙱𝚁𝙾𝚆   𝚁𝙸𝚂𝙴𝚂   𝙾𝚅𝙴𝚁   𝙷𝙸𝚂   𝙴𝚈𝙴 ,      and adrian ponders her question.   many attribute the word  evil  with vampires.   after his father’s attempted war on humanity ,   who could blame them  ?   yet he knows other routes.   he saw first hand the  love in his father’s eyes  for so much of his life.   a light so warm ,   when he gazed upon adrian and lisa ,   one might mistake him for a  living man.   adrian often finds himself gazing at their family portrait ,   commissioned when he was only a babe ,   to see that very light.   captured in  perfect detail.   the way he wishes to remember them ,   and not the catastrophes which corrupted that image in the past year.

                         “    i’m not certain you’re asking the right person.   i have not met many newly turned vampires ,   and even by human standards ,   i am young.   not nearly enough time to observe how most change when they become undead ,    ”     adrian answers honestly.   he leans forward against the table ,   a fist pressed thoughtfully beneath his chin.     “    .  .  .but i do not think it is accurate to say there is  no hope  for you.   my father had quite the reputation before my mother came along ,   but she brought out the  life  in him.   perhaps it’s only a matter of finding the right something to appeal to  your humanity.    ”

                                                gaze darting back to the woman ,   bean flashes a sheepish grin.   it comes out more as a  wince ,   encouraged by her aching head.       “    so uh—   that said .  .  .   i’m also kinda dealing with a teeny tiny hangover  and i have absolutely no idea where my dem—   my cat  is.    ”       bean clears her throat hurriedly in hopes of covering up her blunder.       “    could you maybe like .  .  .   point me in the general direction of  dreamland  ?   then i’ll just be outta your hair ,   thanks.    ”

(        ♡    .     )                                 “    I   HAVE   THE   PERFECT   CREAM   FOR   THAT ,   YOU   KNOW.    ”       evie taps a perfectly manicured nail against the corner of esther’s eyes.   against the inevitable crinkle that comes with a  smile.   she knows the horrors of it too well.   a mother always monitoring for such  cracks  in flawlessly smooth skin.   but she’s always been so prone to a smile    ———    even now ,   red lips tug outward ,   the curve  deep enough  to reach her own eyes.   without her little experiments ,   she wonders if she could ever live up to her mother’s  expectations.

straightening back up ,   back stick straight ,   evie lets her hand drop from esther’s face and rummage ,   instead ,   in the velveteen satchel kept at her side.       “    where did it .  .  .   hmm .  .  .    ”        evie murmurs to herself for a few moments ,   before finally looking up ,   meeting her gaze once more.       “    it seems i’ve misplaced the jar i keep with me.   but that shouldn’t be an issue.   come with me  !   i can mix you up a sample.   i promise you’ll love it.   rub it on every night and every wrinkle just .  .  .   it’s gone  !   i’ve been refining it for years  !    ”
