It was late - the moon high in the sky, casting a soft glow onto Parfadiea.
Their home, or at least. One of them.
Amp wasn't normally the type to go on late night 'walks' - it was never really something they thought about doing, they didn't even intend to be out so late. Simply wanting to watch the sunset, but instead here they were. just.. aimlessly wandering the streets. How far had they gone from Prune's shop? What street were they even on? Amp didn't recognize this area but that wasn't so much of a problem - It would be easy enough to just float above the buildings and find their dad's home.
But they didn't. At least not yet.
So much had changed in what felt like such a short amount of time - They had all but abandoned their duties, the ones set on them by Black Sapphire. They barely even remembered what the exact orders were now, something about gathering information or something like that.
They still sometimes found themselves listening - snooping on conversations they weren't supposed to be apart of, finding out things they were never meant to hear - all for nothing really.
Well, not for nothing; For Black Sapphire, but they didn't want to do that anymore. They were trying their hardest to keep to themselves, to not snoop, to not dig their nose into business they didn't need to be apart off.
All that mattered was that they were trying, that they were doing their best to mind their own business, to stop listening to everything around them.. Right? It all meant something, right? They could be something other than a tool?
They shake their head, letting out a deep sigh as they run a hand down the side of their face, their voice falling into a small buzz of a feedback loop for a moment.
Don't spiral, don't spiral, don't spiral.
breathe in, hold, breathe out.
They really needed to stop thinking like this. Letting their mind wander like this, it wasn't helping and they had started to notice the worried glances Prune would share with Frost.
They had to be perfect; like they always had been.
They had to keep up the act.
