Here's some more Biodiverse Memes! Y'all are strongly encouraged to repost to Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram and other websites. No need to credit.
Some of these are new, some are from earlier. Wanted to make some (somewhat) positive ones since the point isn't to be "anti-lawn," it's to get people to appreciate how beautiful and important biodiversity is and how easy it is to have biodiversity in your surroundings :3
Go wild, give them to the other websites so the people there can see

Happy birthday beautiful @stickyfrogs 🎉
I’ve done a gouache painting of them as a special birthday treat 🎂🐸✨
W.I.P Toad Abode
This frog art is of the Houston Toad! It is endemic to central and east Texas. Unfortunately, due to urbanization the Houston Toad is now an endangered species.
The Houston Zoo is working on the species' conservation with captive breeding programs to release egg spawn into the wild. Houston Toads are habitat specialists that can only live in loblolly pine forests, so the reforestation efforts in these areas are critical to their survival.
This toad's extinction would be a devastating loss of amazing wildlife endemic to Texas. Not only are they lovely toads, but they also provide valuable ecosystem services such as eating pests like mosquitoes.
To support their conservation you can visit the Bastrop State Park where Houston Toads are protected. Part of your entry fees will go towards their conservation. You can also donate to the Houston Zoo's conservation efforts.
Do not fret if you are not able to see these endemic Texas toads! Regardless of where you are in the world you can protect your local amphibian species by supporting local conservation efforts.
As a wildlife artist and nature artist I aim to create scientific illustrations to educate people about wildlife conservation! Feel free to share this with others and continue educating about enviromental science 💚🍃
HAPPY EARTH DAY!
If you are able, consider donating/transferring money to the following environmental/wildlife conservation organizations:
Cornell Lab of Ornithology: US based bird conservation non-profit
National Audubon Society: US based bird conservation non-profit
Arbor Day Foundation: US based non-profit that plants trees in national forests, state parks, and around the world (map of their efforts here)
World Wildlife Fund: international non-profit that aims to protect wildlife and threatened ecosystems
Ocean Conservancy: US based ocean conservation nonprofit
4Ocean: for profit company that sells bracelets, face masks, and other apparel to remove plastic from the ocean
The Nature Conservancy: largest international nonprofit conservation org that protects threatened habitats/land
Indigenous Environmental Network: US based nonprofit of indigenous peoples that protect sacred sites and advocate for environmental justice
If you’re able, also consider volunteering at local conservation programs if you can find one in your area! (For people in the US, Audubon has many volunteer programs, and sometimes a local aquarium or zoo may host volunteer events. Some examples would be events to plant trees, remove invasive species, tag migrating animals (usually birds or butterflies), bird/fish counts, habitat restoration, etc.). Check to see if they are still running during COVID; many are!
And download Ecosia, a browser that uses ad revenue to fund tree planting projects! Chrome extension | Firefox extension | iPad app | Google Play
I realized today I haven’t posted anything for a while. So here’s a little nod back to holidays and being outside and away from everyday life.
Mason Hotel W.I.P
Bee happy because I have new bee art!
Typically, when people hear "Save The Bees" the first image that comes to their mind is of a Honey Bee. Bees are a very biodiverse family. But did you know that native bees are more threatened than their non-native Honey Bee counterpart?
Mason Bees are species of solitary bee in the genus Osmia. Their common names are Mason Bees, because of their behavior of using mud, pebbles, and leaves to create nests. They are the true builders of the bee world! They start their construction site in holes, cracks, crevasses, or any any tiny, free, enclosed space.
After the females forage nectar and pollen she will go back to her nesting site and mix it together like a sweet recipe. Except she uses this to lay their eggs on top of. Once the female Mason Bee feels her eggs are secure she will create a mud dome around them. Mother bees work hard to create more nests for up to 35 eggs!
The larvae will grow by consuming the nectar-pollen mound their mother laid them in. They will soon spin a cozy cocoon where they will further develop into adult mason bees!
I hope you learned something new today from my scientific illustration! Creating SciArt to educate others on Enviromental Science, Biology, Ecology, Zoology, and Entomology is my passion! Stay tuned for my next post on how you can create habitat for Mason Bees in your wildlife-friendly garden! 🐝💛
