pink, here we bloom again
Dear sweet daughter When was the last time someone told you that they love you? I want this love letter to remind you that my love for you reaches to the heavens (Psalm 36:5) and nothing can separate you from my love (Romans 8:38,39). I created you in my image (Genesis 1:27) and I call you by name (Isaiah 45:4). I knit you together in your mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13). You are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14) and all of your days were written in my book (Psalm 139:16). I knew you before you were born (Jeremiah 1:5) and I continue to know everything about you (Psalm 139:1). Even the hairs on your head are numbered (Matthew 10:30) because I am your perfect Father (Matthew 5:48) and you are my offspring (Acts 17:28). I created the Heavens, yet I am still mindful of you (Psalm 8:3,4). You belong to me (Romans 14:8) because I chose you (John 15:16) and adopted you as my daughter when I sent my son for you (Ephesians 1:4-6). That is how much I love you; I sent my son to die so that we can spend eternity together (John 3:16). I rescued you because I delight in you (2 Samuel 22:20). You are the apple of my eye (Psalm 17:8) and I am enthralled by your beauty (Psalm 45:11). You can’t even count my thoughts towards you each day (Psalm 139:17,18). You are my treasured possession (Exodus 19:5) and I have loved you with an everlasting love (Jeremiah 31:3). Though the mountains may be shaken and the hills be removed, my unfailing love for you will not be shaken (Isaiah 54:10). When everyone deserts you, I will never leave (Psalm 38:11,21) because I will always be faithful to you (Psalm 33:4). I will not forget you (Isaiah 49:15) for I have engraved you in the palms of my hands (Isaiah 49:16). I hear your cries and I am concerned about your suffering (Exodus 3:7,8). When you call, I will always answer (Psalm 17:6). I am close to you when your heart is broken (Psalm 34:18) and I will wipe your tears (Psalm 25:8). Remember that when you are weak, I am strong for you (2 Corinthians 12:10). I will give you rest (Matthew 11:28). I will carry you (Psalm 28:9). I will stand in your defense (Psalm 10:18). I will fulfill your needs (Matthew 6:32,33) because I am for you (Romans 8:31). I have set your apart for myself (Psalm 4:3) and as a bridegroom rejoices over his bride, I will rejoice over you (Isaiah 62:5). I will turn your shame into radiance (Psalm 34:5) and I will give you joy so we can dance together (Psalm 30:11). I will give you something to rejoice in each morning (Psalm 30:5) because I have plans to give you hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). I will be faithful to you (1 Thessalonians 5:24) even when you lose faith in me (2 Timothy 2:13). I will give you the desires of your heart if you give me your love (Psalm 37:4). I will wait for you (Luke 15:11-32) Love, your daddy, God

Once you get into a relationship, you might wish you had more friends. Once you make more friends, you might desire to have a better relationship. Once you make friends at work, you might wonder why you can’t make friends at church. Once you make friends in the city you’re in, you might long for those deeply rooted relationships from back home. The cycle goes on and on. We travel through life not always feeling the need for the same things, and nevertheless our hearts remain in need. No matter where we are, we end up still needing something. But so often times what we fail to realize is that in our time of need, God is doing in our lives whatever was meant to be. He is putting people on our paths exactly when we they need to be there. That feeling of longing that we have for something more is met with God’s grace that says, “you don’t have to keep searching…I am truly giving you everything you need.” God knows what your heart is longing for, so long for Him all the more, because it is in your longing for Him that you will learn of your belonging in the perfect plan of what He has in store. ⠀ Knowing this, remember that you are going to be okay. Whoever is meant to be in your life, He is going to put them there. And most of all, He is going to continue to write His love and His guidance all over your life, showing you that over and over, in Jesus’ name, He will give you everything you need, from now until Eternity. ⠀ Psalm 5 is a prayer of guidance. Let this be our prayer when we feel the need to be loved, heard, and cared for: ⠀ Give ear to my words, O Lord, Consider my meditation. Give heed to the voice of my cry, My King and my God, For to You I will pray. My voice You shall hear in the morning, O Lord; In the morning I will direct it to You, And I will look up. Psalm 5:1-3 ⠀ Keep looking up. He sees you, He hears you, and He knows your needs, and He hasn’t forgotten a single one of them. ⠀ Written by @morganhnichols for #TheDevoCo
